Let’s take into consideration that the entire world had been cornered by aliens with far superior tech and weaponry. The clock was literally ticking to annihilation aka “Checkmate”.
Our hero David, using a Mac (you know… from Apple.. known for its compatibility with other systems), decides to write a virus for an ALIEN OS!!!
A tall order in and of itself, he’s also gotta find an 0 day to deliver the payload. All of this, once again— for a system he’s never seen, nor is based on any OS he’s ever encountered.
If you’ve seen the movie, you know David is successful. But in what is probably the most absurd ADHD rabbit hole in the history of losing focus—
—homeboy took the Fucking time to add a laughing skull animation to his virus, COMPLETE WITH SOUND. Can you imagine walking by the lab while he was recording the laugh?
It wasn’t a one take deal— there had to be some laugh tracks where he felt he didn’t sound menacing enough (evidenced by the absurd modulation on the finished product).
All I’m saying is— if there was EVER a time to stay on Fucking task, it was probably when aliens were about to destroy the planet… but, I’m not 1337, so maybe I just don’t get it.
