RS 30185 Electoral College, Support Rep. Heather Scott- its a resolution affirming the electoral college system. Wants it to be known Idaho and its elected officials are very against a popular vote, or deviation from the electoral college. #idpol #idleg

RS 30210 State Government, Agreements, List Rep. Heather Scott- says this is a transparency bill. Adds a new duty for the State Controller to store, maintain, publish a current list of agreements entered in by the state. Says the entry of Common Core to the state was inspiration.

@SamSandmire is up giving a lovely testimony as to why OPE is so important. She mentions helpful reports about the state of our schools, dept of transportation. The research OPE does it vital.

Crystal Ivie testifying against HB 68. She is highlighting the importance of unbiased data. She believes changing the way OPE operates, will silence the minority.
When she mentioned the word "republican," she was reprimanded. Bunch of sensitive folks today.

Kendall Shaper is up next testifying against HB 68. She says she was first made aware of OPE while living in Pittsburgh, and she was so proud her state was used as an example of good governance.
She urges committee not to go the way of North Carolina's Gov Ops useless committee.

The Director of Developmental Disabilities is testifying now about how important OPE has been in improving state systems of people with disabilities and seniors. OPE study in 2021 helped lead to funding for the Idaho Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Program. #idpol #idleg

RS 302221 Rep Manwaring- Prop owners will get a numerical breakdown of exempted value being subtracted from full market value. It will help prop owners understand how much value is exempt from their property. It also defines limited market opportunity properties. #idpol #idleg

Rep Skaug is going over the definitions of gender dysphoria, and his perceived side effects of gender affirming care. He cites Chloe Cole as case study. #idleg

He wants to protect the "fundamental right to procreate." He said we dont let minors get tattoos... yes we do, with parental consent. He said kids dont drink, yes they do with parental consent. He keeps bringing up the right to procreate.. this is weird. #idpol #idleg

Blaine Conzatti is testifying for the Idaho Family Policy. Nothing he says will be factual. He is going to attempt to delegitimize any testimony from actual medical professionals ahead of time.... which he has just started. He is not a medical professional. NEXT. #idpol #idleg

Brandon Mickelson, Director of Idaho Academy of Family Physicians of Idaho and a Dr Hyatt (sep testimony) are testifying against this bill highlighting the misinformation surrounding trans youth, and detrimental tolls not having gender affirming care takes on them. #idpol #idleg

On another note- Chairman Scott keeps cutting people off for not staying on topic of the bill. We keep hearing a lot of bible and god talk and talk about other fictional stories like Island of Doctor Moreau. I dont think this is on topic. Keep your religion off our bodies. #idleg

We are now hearing from a physician testifying she worries about being able to perform her job and legislation like this is harming the medical workforce. She has to seriously consider leaving the state to practice medicine for fear of being jailed, fined or losing her license.

Rep. Scott is repeatedly cutting anyone off testifying in support of this bill, stating they aren't sticking to the bill. The only people who aren't, are the people who have testified in support when they invoke religion and falsehoods to support their hate. #idpol #idleg
