In June last year the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Dobbs, overturning the dated Roe v. Wade decision, returning the power to save lives from abortion to the people and their elected representatives -- at the state and federal level. 2/
Already this year, pro-life states have hit the ground running to advance measures that protect unborn lives & empower moms:
ALABAMA: Adoption reform
ARKANSAS: Safe-haven baby boxes; Ensure companies who pay for abortion travel also offer 16 weeks maternity leave 3/
FLORIDA: No sales tax on baby/child/family items
INDIANA: Tax deduction for unborn child; $2 million for safe-haven baby box advertising; Stop local governments using tax dollars to assist in abortions 4/
MICHIGAN: Tax deduction for unborn child 4/
MISSISSIPPI: Tax credits; Fund pregnancy centers; Child support and adoption reform; Early Intervention Act for Infants and Toddlers; Safe Haven Law; Foster Care and Adoption Task Force; Child Support extension for children with disabilities 5/
MISSOURI: Property Tax Credit for day care facilities; Medicaid extension postpartum to one year
OKLAHOMA: Create a life.gov resource website; Require child support payments during pregnancy 6/
TENNESSEE: $10M to foster and adoption nonprofits; $100M for pregnancy centers; Paid family leave for state employees
TEXAS: Additional funding for Alternatives to Abortion program; Medicaid to immediately pay doctors; Improvements to Early Prevention and Intervention Program 7/
VIRGINIA: Born-alive protections; Create a state-run website for pregnancy and family resources
WEST VIRGINIA: Adoption tax credit; Funding for pregnancy centers
And on Capitol Hill, two of the first bills voted on by the House were a bill requiring care for children born alive following an attempted abortion, and a resolution condemning pro-abortion attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches. 9/
Following the Dobbs ruling, we estimate 170,000 fewer babies may be killed by abortion each year.
And states are ramping up efforts to ensure moms get the resources they need.
The state of the unborn is the best it's been in 50 years.
And we're just getting started. 10/10

THREAD: During tonight's #StateOfTheUnionAddress Biden will tell Americans a tragic and frightening, but deeply misleading story about post-Dobbs America – the idea that the pro-life movement is willing to let women die.
That is a blatant lie. 1/
Let’s be very clear: every pro-life law in the country allows necessary and timely medical treatment to save the life of a pregnant woman in an emergency. 2/
In this @LozierInstitute video, Ingrid Skop, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., a board-certified OB/GYN refutes Democrats’ false claim that pro-life laws prevent doctors from intervening to save a pregnant woman’s life: 3/
THREAD: As President Trump announces the launch of his 2024 presidential campaign, we're encouraging him, and all presidential contenders, to outline their pro-life vision and policy platform in the new Dobbs era. 1/
President Trump raised the bar for what it means to be a pro-life presidential candidate and president.
As a candidate, he made written commitments to the pro-life movement and exposed Hillary Clinton’s extreme abortion views on the debate stage. 2/
As president, he kept his promises to the pro-life movement, chief among them to only nominate pro-life judges to the Supreme Court.
Thanks to President Trump keeping his word, we got Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett – and therefore, the historic Dobbs decision. 3/
Ron will continue to stand with pro-life Wisconsinites for common sense & popular pro-life measures #WISen#LifeWins22 1/
Senator Johnson went on offense, defining Mandela Barnes as an abortion extremist:
"The most extreme position here would be no limits on abortion whatsoever — allowing abortion right until the moment of birth, which is what [Barnes] supports." 2/
Together with our partner org, Women Speak Out PAC, we fought hard to elect @RonJohnsonWI.
Total WI efforts:

-300,000 visits to voters

GOP pro-life candidates WIN in competitive races if they define their opponents as abortion extremists who support abortion on demand with NO limits... 1/
...and contrast that with a clearly defined pro-life position centered around consensus such as pain-capable or heartbeat limits.
This must be the key takeaway for the GOP as we head into the 2024 presidential cycle, especially those eyeing a run for the White House. 2/
Ted Budd has been an ardent defender of life in the House, defending the rights of unborn babies and advocating for the safety & security of their mothers. We look forward to seeing him continue his good work in the Senate! #NCSen#LifeWins22 1/7
Budd stood firmly for life:
“I’ve always been pro-life. Cheri Beasley supports abortion at any time, for any reason, all the way until the moment of birth – and at taxpayer expense. That's wildly out of step with where North Carolinians are.”
2/7
Senator-elect @TedBuddNC has been a leader for life as an initial cosponsor of @LindseyGrahamSC’s 15-week abortion limit. We look forward to continuing working with him to advance this popular, commonsense legislation in the Senate.

Congratulations on your victory tonight @JDVance1!
J.D. Vance is a courageous and thoughtful pro-life advocate and we look forward to working with him to protect LIFE in the U.S. Senate! #OHSen#LifeWins22 1/
“You're the extremist on this issue.”
J.D. Vance clearly demonstrated the contrast between his own common sense pro-life position that most Ohioans support, with Tim Ryan’s record of flip-flopping and out-of touch abortion extremism: 2/
Ohio chose commonsense policy over abortion extremism:
My grandmother was an old school Democrat who believed abortion should be safe, legal & rare. But that's not Ryan's view. He voted for a bill to allow abortion at 40 weeks for any reason. 3/
