1/ Mid day - Operational situation update/ #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on February 08, 2023
#Russian spent the last day & night moving forward in dozen of different areas to close the pocket, but yet contained, but to be frank the dynamic is not good for UKR now.

2/ To make it obvious for some of you i have highlighted the general movement Ru is trying to achieve there and in green the last true road that be taken for resupply and med evacs. because the 2 other ones are not really used right now.. (still some)

3/ so it's quite difficult to assess the exact limits of the attacks, the magnitude of it, & exactly what happened, but as i called it yesterday some groups were trying to "hide" within major attacks & reach some villages in the "back" of UKR defense.
not sure if all the targets

4/ have been "dealt with" actually. it seems that Ukr are not always able to contain massive loads of zombies attacks & more precise kind of Recce units from better units, that are going through the first line of defense.

5/ hopefully UKR has diff layers of defenses. Dense mesh in the second line. and lots of people to control all the troops and mouvements going out there.
let me tell you that passwords & appropriates techniques for identification are much needed now as Russ r using UKR uniforms

6/ So i can't tell for sure exactly what was the extent of the attack on #TchassivYar and #Ivaniske, & it was pushed back.. & i'm not sure if now Ru are in control of the little hill & the roads there (so it would be very bad) or if they were press back to their previous "limit".

7/ so on the other side (N - NE) of #Bakhmut as said by my contact yesterday night, they tried to directly cut all the lines and reach #OrikhovoVasylivka, #DubovoVasylivka indicating they are well establish now on the hill and pushing troops as much they have in reserve.

9/ as for the other front, just go back to my previous assessments & thread as the Feba line basically the same.
same for my better topo maps.
i'll try later on if i have time to make proper maps with geoloc etc.
it takes too much time now.
just some good news : RU losses

10/ it's also time now for me to make a gen thread abt UKR looking to get out of #Bakhmut certainly sooner than later.
let's be honest here.
i'll make it later today, i got to go now...
but here to show u that i was keeping it for some days now.. just wasn't sure of the agenda
