#EXCLUSIVE: Nearly 40 homeless kicked out of #Seattle's Hotel Nexus for alleged violations such as drug use in rooms+assault on staff. They've now been moved to Renton+Federal Way motels. But there's concern it could happen again. Can it get any worse for @KC_RHA+Marc Dones?
BROKEN SYSTEM: Found "Tarantula" in an interview with KIRO 7 back in 2019! He's been running the streets for years. Who's keeping track of cases like this? Thank you to District 4 Neighbors #Seattle FB page for pointing this out. @MayorofSeattle@KC_RHA@kcexec@GovInslee 👇🏽
WHERE IS ACCOUNTABILITY? Glad to know homeless who did nothing wrong are getting in new hotels. But what is @KC_RHA and groups like Lived Experience Coalition doing about the trouble makers who drag everyone else down? Give them more hotel vouchers? How many more times? #Seattle
HAPPENING MORE OFTEN: This is one of the ways #Seattle’s homeless end up in other King County communities like Renton and Federal Way.
MY SOURCES WERE RIGHT: @SeattlePD confirming #Chinatown-ID fire Thur was meth related as I reported. Neighbors are so sick of @wsdot and @KC_RHA’s empty promises. What else will it take for the state to finally clear this public safety disaster? @GovInslee@MayorofSeattle
BEFORE IT GOT TORCHED: Structure w/blue tarp belongs to a notorious drug dealer. While #Seattle continues encampment sweeps multiple times each week, @wsdot and @KC_RHA not moving at same pace, especially in #Chinatown-ID.
RUNNING OUT OF PATIENCE: Horrible week for Marc Dones and @KC_RHA. Parents at John Stanford Int. Elementary crushed agency and it's mishandling of homeless outreach at Ship Canal Bridge encampment across street from school. Then another fire. @WSDOT@GovInslee@MayorofSeattle
@KC_RHA@wsdot@GovInslee@MayorofSeattle JUST DOING MY JOB: For nearly a year now, I have covered the DISASTER unfolding at the Ship Canal Bridge encampment. Today, some random King County worker tried to FLEX on me and told me to leave. How do you think I responded. #Seattle👇🏽 🤡
SO DONE: #Seattle Councilmember Alex Pedersen slamming King County Regional Homelessness Authority saying, “@KC_RHA appears relatively slow,” in email sent to frustrated neighbor complaining about @WSDOT Ship Canal encampment. @MayorofSeattle@GovInslee
ENCAMPMENT EXPLOSION: Sources say Thursday morning's fire on @WSDOT property at S. Main St. and 7th St. in #Seattle was drug related. Meth cooking in tent. Were is Marc Dones and @KC_RHA outreach? Why is this being allowed? @MayorofSeattle
HERE IT IS: Structure w/blue tarp belongs to a notorious drug dealer. While #Seattle continues encampment sweeps multiple times each week, @WSDOT and @KC_RHA not moving at same pace. I counted at least 10 camps in #Chinatown-ID alone on state property.
REMEMBER THIS: Last fall, this blind man had enough.
Side streets along N.Aurora Ave. have homeless camps blocking sidewalks. Months later this camp is still here! #Seattle @MayorofSeattle@D5Juarez 🎥 courtesy: Vu Ha
ANOTHER LOOK: Blind man is struggling to walk through debris on sidewalk from homeless encampment. Woman starts arguing w/blind man and accuses him of harassement. Parts of city still upside down. 🙃 @MayorofSeattle@KC_RHA@D5Juarez

#BREAKING: Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell doubling down today, saying King County and Executive Dow Constantine(@kcexec) NEVER told him or city officials about meth in Red Lion. But Ferrell stopped short of calling Dow a liar. They still need to work together. 👇🏽
DOW’S SPIN: Moments ago, Dow’s(@kcexec) media handler Chase Gallagher sent out statement in response to Mayor Jim Ferrell. Notice how there’s no mention of high levels of meth in Red Lion, warning to fire fighters, and on going litigation with cleaning company delaying open.
MAJOR FALLOUT: @thehoffather and I 100% stand behind our reporting on Federal Way Red Lion meth fiasco because we keep receipts. Dow's(@kcexec) media SPIN always involves discrediting the journalists if they do not align with his narrative.
RECURRING NIGHTMARE: Crews cleared tents on 3rd Ave. near City Hall at least 20 times now since last year. But encampment is back again. Real question, why does this place get priority for sweeps while other #Seattle neighborhoods wait for months?@MayorofSeattle@CMAndrewJLewis
