#QT Sussan Ley embarrassingly tries to accuse PM Albanese of scaremongering on interest rates when they went up under the Coalition, but doesn’t realise Albo at the time was quoting her now leader, Dutton.🤦‍♂️
As the PM corrects Ley, even Peter Dutton can’t hold back his grin 😂
Dutton smiles as he looks at Ley, after her horrendously embarrassing stunt, was she put up to it? Or did she pull this one out on her own? 🤔 Image
Speaker Milton Dick, not taking any of Sussan Ley’s shit at the moment, puts her on thin ice 💥 #QT
#QT Paul Fletcher now also put on thin ice, ouch! 😂 Go Speaker!
Milton tells Fletcher he’s on his final straw 🔥 Image
Speaker boots member for Herbert, Phillip Thompson, for being a clown 🥾

Oh and out goes member for Barker, Tony Pasin, too! Booted 🥾
Speaker not taking any shyte from anyone today at all.
Ted O’Brien, shadow climate change minister, kicked out too. 🥾
Go Milton. Throw out the clowns!
Albo drills Andrew Hastie for raising a “matter of public importance” on Labor’s Defence spending cuts the last time they were in government. 🤦‍♂️

Albo: “it’s like the last decade, just didn’t happen!”🔥
Karen Andrews tries to go outside standing orders to Table a document, and gets a little cranky 😵‍💫 when she’s told, it’s not the way to do it #QT
That wraps up my coverage

Now off for kiddie school pick up.
Yay! Enjoy your afternoon. It’s been an electrifying #QT today.
LNP’s Andrew Hastie tells parliament that in 2013
“we inherited a big mess!”

Conveniently leaves out that they quadrupled the mess before handing it back to Labor, 9 years later. Image
Sorry to break it to you Sussan, but that actually came from your boss.
(Whoops) #QT Image
Hats off to Speaker Milton Dick today. He kept both sides in order and threw out some rascals along the way. #QT Image

Keith Pitt attacks Labor’s $15 Billion National Reconstruction Fund saying “there is not $15 Billion in this fund!” because it’s $10 billion being allocated with $5 billion to start with.🤦‍♂️
Labor’s Peter Khalil helps Pitt do the math.
“10 + 5 = 15” 🤣🤣

Greens’ Max Chandler-Mather stands up to make a point of order on relevance as Tanya Plibersek answers Q on the safe guard mechanism.
Speaker warns him that Plibersek is being relevant so the point of order can’t be on relevance.
Max: “on relevance”
Bang, straight out. 🥾
Meanwhile Angus Taylor carefully avoids Chalmers and asks his question to the PM.

I’ve never seen a shadow treasurer so petrified of a Treasurer, this is extraordinary.

#RobodebtRC Greggery drills in on Tudge’s meetings with Turnbull.
Tudge claims Turnbull said he appears to have “things fixed”
But when pressed if that was said, his evidence changes to
“I don’t have that recollection”

Greggery “Just that you said it before, that’s all” [1/3]
#RobodebtRC Evidence is shown to Tudge that he contracted Data 61 due to
“The inherent acknowledgement that the scheme may not be targeting those most likely to have received overpayments”

Yet Alan Tudge seems unsure if he wants to accept it. [2/3]
#RobodebtRC Greggery brings up the Data 61 Report which Alan Tudge insists he does not recall. He also says that despite it finding flaws in the scheme
“it didn’t appear an overly useful piece of work for the purposes of which we were seeking” 😳
Geez I wonder why. [3/3]

After Angus Taylor avoids Treasurer Jim Chalmers when asking about Interest Rates, PM Albo kindly let’s Chalmers in anyway who rips into Angus Taylor for making false claims in Sky News interviews.

“He does not have a clue & that’s why he doesn’t ask me the question!”
🔥🔥#QT
PM Albo now hammers Nationals’ Anne Webster for asking why the government didn’t provide power price relief earlier than they did.
When she voted against the relief package anyway?
Albo hilarious here 😅🤣#QT
Apologies had to delete and re-send this last one due to loading a wrong version. 🫤

Anyway, off to pick kids up from school so I’ll crack on again a bit later.

LNP’s Jane Hume trying to pick out problems in the current government in regards to interest rates & inflation, as she probes Philip Lowe in Senate Estimates.
Asks him what more Labor should be doing at the moment.

Lowe: “Nothing”

Hume grimaces.

Meanwhile in the House, Bob Katter up to some weird, but not unusual antics. Honestly don’t know what he’s talking about, I couldn’t work it out. Image
Ok so who’s up for today’s Katter challenge? Which is to Unscramble whatever the **** Katter is talking about.

He even puts on an English accent to try get the message across. Didn’t seem to help me tho. 😂😵‍💫🤔

#RobodebtRC After Alan Tudge shirks responsibility from having authority to stop Robodebt, he points the finger at former PM Turnbull & former DSS Minister Porter, but still can’t clearly answer why he didn’t at least try. [1/3]
#RobodebtRC Justin Greggery presents a response letter from Tudge & Porter to former PM Turnbull, which does not mention any of the serious flaws they were aware of at the time.
Alan Tudge suggests it was
“implied” 😳 [2/3]
#RobodebtRC Christian Porter was also questioned about his recollection of the Turnbull meetings which he says were “multiple” in number. Porter says they all “shared” a view that all “inherent flaws” could be fixed in
“short order” [3/3]
