Yet again foolish attempt to secularise #ChatrapatiShivajiMaharaj

As if there are no works around Shivaji Maharaj?

In his own writing of letter to Jai Singh Shivaji Maharaj tells how he desires to remove Mahomedanism from Deccan. Ever read that letter? I’m posting snippets.
#ShivajiMaharaj tells that his sword is only thirsty for the blood of Mussalmans & calls them Rakshasas.

He asks Jai Singh to help remove Islam from root and branch. Read these highlighted parts. ImageImage
Further #ShivajiMaharaj makes clear in his letter that he has issues with Mussalmans ruling the country of Bharat & prime motive should be to protect:
•Hindus
•Hindusthan
•Hindu Dharma Image
And then #ShivajiMaharaj tells Jai Singh about his desires to shower swords on the Mussalmans & to vacate Mahomedanism from Deccan.

1/n Never seen such a foolish take on #ChatrapathiShivaji’s diplomacy.

By his logic then Gandhi Ji should be a great friend to Hitler based on letter written to him.

He had clear vision & he was opposed to the rule of Musalmans which becomes evident from his own writings.
2/n Here are snippets from letter of Shivaji to Jai Singh where he mentions that he is disheartened that swords of Hindus would be against at each other just because one has chosen to side with Muslims.

He talks of how his sword thirsts for blood of Musalmaans.
3/n Why would he specify Musalamaan & Hindu had he was not clear about his views.

He also says that there Turks are like Rakshasas in the guise of being Adharmik men.

If I to believe assessment by K. A. Nilakanta Sastri, one of the most celebrated expert in History of South. Vijayanagar Empire=Resistance to Islamic Colonialism
2/n At the end of chapter on Vijayanagar Empire Sastri concludes that the rulers of this house did take up task to preserve Hindu political and social order that was being destroyed by Islam.

Being a regular follower of @BeerBicepsGuy show, came across a podcast with Prof Mohsin Khan.

Though he seemed honest, abundant points made by him were wrong,given recent researches.

The moment he said Buddha was from Scythian lineage, it became a red flag for me.
Prof said so from this point that Gautam Buddha is called “Sakya Muni.”

Prof Khan’s confusion lies because his readings (as it seemed from podcast) is only relies largely on linguistics & hypotheses propagated by the likes of Michael Witzel & Beckwith.
Michael Witzel & Christopher Beckwith without any evidence based his hypothesis of indicating Shakyas = Central Asian Iranic nomads Scythians (as called by the Greeks), because they are addressed as Sakās by the Achaemenid Persians.

You should have cared to read what exactly Irfan Habib has produced based on Ain-i-Akbari.
Prof Habib had clearly spoken of subas not aligning mentioned in Italics, hence no Jama from them.
If you exclude them, total area is 0.85 million sq miles. Check explanation.
2/n In this case-2, I take out complete Kabul, as in overall "Jama" calculation, Kabul Sarkar too gives "0" Jama.

So technically, it shouldn't be part of Akbar's territory. In the case-2, the effective area of Akbar's territory would be 0.815 million square miles.
3/n The case is very well explained in the map given by prof Habib himself, showing the principalities which are not actually under control of Akbar.

That's the reason why many scholars, conclude the territory of Akbar to be 0.75 million sq miles in totality (one eg, 2nd pic)

1/n Sir Sayed Ahmed, founder of AMU, was not only main proponent of two-nation theory but was also an absolute British Loyalist.

In this thread I bring in light his booklet " The Causes Of The Indian Revolt" which not only shows his anti-India stand & similar appeal to Muslims.
2/n In the preface itself he clarifies that he is writing this booklet as a loyalist.

He also defines this "1857 issue" as a rebellion against government (he recognizes British as one).
3/n Like any other loyalist, he lives in a belief that the "1857" was a small mutiny with no large planning.

He even undermines the "Chapati Movement" just like how many British officers did by painting it in hue of superstition.
