1. The idea for #remissionbiome came from us experiencing temporary remission after taking antibiotics & in Tamara’s case, probiotics. While remission was fleeting, afterwards, our baselines improved remissionbiome.org/our-story/
Our aim is to recreate this event +understand it
2. There are many possible hypotheses for what might have happened during our temporary remission events, but many follow: Change in gut → mass neuroglia homeostatic event → sudden decrease in sickness response
4. While remission was short-term, (2 days for Tess & 4 hours for Tamara), we experienced an increase in baseline function that was significant. Tamara went from Severe to Moderate (bedridden to walking) & Tess went from Severe/Moderate to Moderate/Mild. remissionbiome.org/our-story/
5. While temporary remission is the immediate goal, it is not the ultimate goal: which is a lasting shift in baseline function, one that might even be kicked up a notch a few times with repeated temporary remissions.

📣Shout out to #MECFS & #LongCOVID community.
🔹Today, we're launching the first thread of our "Themed Tweet Series".
🔹 These series are going to be comprised of the videos Tamara (@chydorina ) recorded for you.
🔹They're the subtitled versions of the videos shared by Tamara through different times and they're gonna be presented in "themes' for easy-access.
🔹Apart from that, the subtitled videos and video transcripts are gonna be uploaded to and to in order to provide accessibility for our beloved #RemissionBiome family.
🔹 Today's theme is "Remission Biome in a Nutshell".
🔹 This is to introduce you all aspects of the Remission Biome Protocol in brief.
🔹Hope they help and hope you have a great day.
🔹Well, here we go!youtube.com/@remissionbiome remissionbiome.org/blog

The many hats worn by @tessfalor @chydorina @IsabelRamirezRD in @remissionbiome
- We are patients, we are PhDs, we are researchers, and we've had remissions and increases in our baselines like the ones we are trying to re-create here.

#RemissionBiome "events" are not just theoretical. @tessfalor and @chydorina both had short-term antibiotic-induced remissions that led to an increase in our baselines from severe to moderate #MECFS.
Hi👋🏼This account is run by Tamara @chydrorina + Tess @ales_frost. We’re scientists+patients (yes, you can be both!), who improved from severe #MECFS after taking antibiotics
Our aim w/ #remissionbiome is to look at how modifying the microbiome can shift a person w/ME’s baseline
The idea for #remissionbiome came from both of us experiencing temporary remission, after taking a mix of antibiotics (& in Tamara’s case, probiotics). While remission was fleeting, afterwards, our baselines improved.
Our aim is to recreate this event + understand it.
We will take AmoxClav, probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, & exogenous ketones during our experiment.
Before, during (if a remission event happens), & after we will test with @biomesight@ProdromeScience@imyoohealth & some blood tests like TNF alpha, CMP, CBC
