#BREAKING: Thursday morning, another inferno at meth lab homeless encampment on @wsdot property. How many more times will #Chinatown-ID be victimized before city+state take action? @GovInslee @MayorofSeattle @CMTammyMorales @KC_RHA @WAStateCommerce #Seattle
HOW MUCH LONGER? This same encampment went up in flames earlier this month. If a meth lab with weapons, drugs, and guns isn't enough, what will it take for elected officials to deal with these extremely dangerous encampments on @wsdot property? @KC_RHA

WHAT A FIND: @SeattlePD confirming #Chinatown-ID fire on Feb 9 was meth related. Neighbors are so sick of @wsdot and @KC_RHA's empty promises. What else will it take for the state to finally clear this public safety disaster? @GovInslee @MayorofSeattle

WHAT ABOUT #CHINATOWN-ID? CID is dealing w/enormous weight of city's homeless, drug addiction, and public safety crisis. @MayorofSeattle acknowledged this during 2023 State of City address. But again, no specific long term plan to deal w/insanity.#Seattle

HOMELESS STRATEGY: @MayorofSeattle sending message that illegal camping will not be tolerated. But key piece not addressed is plan to deal with homeless who refuse shelter options+just move to other parts of #Seattle. BTW no mention of FAR-LEFT activists undercutting his plan.

CALLING ON MAYOR: Parents at John Stanford Int. School now begging @MayorofSeattle to take control from @WSDOT and lead encampment removals on state right of ways. Significant development this week as officials feel pressure to act swiftly. @GovInslee @KC_RHA @kcexec #Seattle
FRUSTRATED: During Thursday's @KC_RHA Governing Committee meeting, parents railed on officials. But after public comment, Roosevelt McQuarter cautioned them from using "stigmatized language" about homeless. Some parents reached out to me saying he was "tone deaf." #Seattle
MAYOR'S RESPONSE: @MayorofSeattle heard parents. But did not directly respond to pleas to take control from @WSDOT and @KC_RHA. Exact reason remains unclear. But city already funded KCRHA with millions of dollars to handle outreach. How long this continues remains to be seen.

#BREAKING: We knew it would eventually happen! @CMDanStrauss says Ballard Commons Park is re-opening weekend of March 11-12. But it is still unclear what the game plan is to prevent homeless from setting up again on this #Seattle Parks property. Good luck D6. @MayorofSeattle
NOT SO MEMORABLE MOMENTS: If you recall, the park's been closed since December 2021 after city allowed massive homeless encampment to take over for months. It was blamed for deaths, fires, shootings, uptick in thefts, and even Hep-A outbreak. #Seattle

FALL-WINTER 2021: Numerous fires raged out of control in Ballard Commons Park. Some were accidental, others were intentionally set. Too many to count. #Seattle
