Midoriya Izuku was sad when his childhood friend left for an amazing opportunity to work under a hero in the USA after they graduated. But he never let him know that. Kacchan would be crazy not to take it!
But what he never expected and what added an extra layer of difficulty was the fact that he was what his mom called a “late bloomer”. He presented omega at 18 years old. And presenting omega without the alpha was around his whole life filled him with need.
He had to get adjusted to living life an entirely new way. And he was so painfully lonely. That’s when Iida Tenya swooped in. Izuku loved and cherished Iida as a friend but he never looked at him as anything but that until he presented. Afterall, the way the alpha cared for him?
It was nice. Izuku’s omega couldn’t help but he swept away by the alpha and Iida was very clear in his intentions. Izuku never actually thought about love or romance until the alpha started courting him. He knew he loved Kacchan above all else but Kacchan left him…
Things with Tenya happened quickly. He was so nice and caring and loving and before he knew it, Izuku was engaged to be married. It was a long engagement at Izuku’s request.

“How much longer must we wait, my dear?” Tenya asked him one day.

“I told you…”
Izuku sighed. “I don’t feel right having a wedding without Kacchan here! As soon as he moves back, he can help us plan! I promise!”

“Very well…” Tenya cleared his throat before pulling something out of his pocket. “I know I said I wanted to wait but… I can’t wait any longer!”
He grabbed Izuku’s hand and gently placed a key in it.

“What’s this?” Izuku blinked in awe.

“Move in with me, Izuku.” Tenya asked tenderly.

“R-really?!” Izuku teared up.

“I can’t stand a day without waking up to you a moment longer!”
Izuku was ecstatic. He knew how traditional the alpha was, but the fact he was willing to blend their life so soon was a good sign… or so he though.

But things changed after he moved in. They slept together for the first time and the alpha became much more possessive of him.
It started with a schedule change demand.

“But I like working nights!” Izuku had argued. “There’s more people in need of my help then!”

“As your alpha I don’t feel right about it!” Tenya insisted. “You being out so late fills me with worry!”
“There’s plenty of people to save when the sun is out!”

“You know as well as I do I can handle myself.” Izuku tried to put his foot down.

“Izuku, please.” Tenya begged. “This is no time to be stubborn. I do so much for you! Cant you do this one thing for me?!”
Izuku relented that once. But looking back, he wish he never did. He wasn’t used to the whole alpha-omega dynamic. He tried to understand how alphas thought and adjust but this one compromise turned to several which led to their worst fight.

“Where were you?!”
“I told you.” Izuku didn’t understand why he was so angry. “I went out with friends! I promise you I didn’t do any hero work. I know it’s late but it wasn’t dangerous it-”

“You didn’t just go out with friends! You went out with Todoroki!” Tenya raged.

“Huh?!” Izuku blinked.
Since when was that a problem?

“Don’t look so innocent! You two were spotted eating dinner together!”

“Tenya, Todoroki-kun’s our friend!” Izuku stressed. “Our dear friend!”

“You can’t just go to dinner with other alphas! Are you insane?!”
Izuku didn’t like the way he was speaking to him. It was different. Harsh. And as strong as he was, his omega was terrified.

“A-am I not allowed to go to dinner with my friends?!”

“Not without me!”

“You’re the insane one!” Izuku argued.

“WHAG DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!”
Danger sense went off as Tenya flung a wine glass at him that barely missed and hit the wall instead.

The two stared at each other in shock before Izuku broke down sobbing.

“Dear! I’m sorry! I-”

Izuku ran upstairs and slammed the door, locking it.
He should have left then. He almost did. He packed a bag with his things and was about to leave to stay with his mom when Tenya broke down and tears and begged for forgiveness. He told him his new omega pheromones just drove him crazy and he swore up and down he would change.
He looked so broken that Izuku felt sorry for him and forgave him. Afterall, this wasn’t the Tenya he knew. It must be his fault. He could understand how going to dinner with Shoto could feel like betrayal. He read up that alphas weren’t too keen on omegas they were courting-
but not mated too hanging around other alphas alone. Izuku had so many rules to get adjusted to, he let this one incident go… and the time Tenya grabbed his wrist too hard… and the time he broke down their door… and the time he slapped him across the face.
Before Izuku knew it, his life was walking on eggshells. He didn’t go out with friends unless Tenya was there. He didn’t stay out too late, he didn’t take on the more dangerous missions even though he could handle himself. He stopped texting Shoto directly.
But Izuku convinced himself this was just what being married was. This was what having an alpha was. It was his fault for breaking all the rules. But there was one rule he wasn’t willing to abide by…. He had a secret phone just for Kacchan.
“The hell you get a new number for?!” Katsuki interrogated.

“I wanted one phone for work and one for friends!” Izuku lied.

“What the fuck ever.” Katsuki sighed. “You still with Prez?”

“Y-yeah! He’s really amazing!” Izuku lied again. But he didn’t realize it.
Part of him believed it. Afterall Tenya still took care of him. He still bought him his favorite merch, had his chef prepare his favorite meals, doted on him hand and foot and loved him. All the other stuff was just his alpha. Not him!

“Have him buy you a ticket to c’mmere.”
“I wish!” Izuku giggled. “We’re both just so busy!”

“You could make time if you weren’t such a workaholic!” Katsuki snapped.

“Hmm…I guess I could. Or you could just come back.” Izuku blurted out.

“I still got three more months here!”
“Ya really don’t wanna leave Japan? It’s fucking awesome here. All the heroes out here would have you mumbling your head off for days.” Katsuki laughed and Izuku wished he could go but Tenya would never let him do it by himself. He could drag him along but… he didn’t want to!
The thought of being in one of places he had always wanted to go having to obey some rules he wasn’t used to made him stick to his stomach. He would mess up. He knew he would. And he was scared to mess up. Every time Tenya set off danger sense, it hurt.
It hurt way more than anything he actually did to him. The fact that someone who loved him could wish harm on him terrified him. It made no sense. Tenya at one point told him to not listen to his quirk. That it didn’t understand how alphas worked.
But Izuku knew his quirks better than Tenya did. It was clear what his intentions were and he didn’t know how he constantly managed to set him off… It was always something different.

“Izuku?” Katsuki questioned in concern.

“H-huh?” Izuku didn’t realize he was crying.
“You alright?” Katsuki asked softly.

“I’m fine…” Izuku tried to laugh it off.

“It’s only three more months..” Katsuki tried to assure him. “Ya don’t have to visit if you don’t want to. I’m just taking the piss out of you…”
“I-I’ll try to get out there! I really would love to-” Suddenly Izuku heard the key turn in the front door and panicked. “S-sorry! I gotta go!”

He hung up the phone fast and locked it in his desk drawer.

“Darling, I’m home!” He heard Tenya announce downstairs.

“C-coming!”
That night he broke another rule and Tenya in turn broke his ankle by pushing him down the stairs. That week he was back to the same sweet fiancé he remembered signing up to marry but it was clear his alpha could take over at any moment and it was getting worse.
“Deku-kun! Earth to Deku-kun!” Ochaco snapped her fingers in front of his face. “Have you heard anything I just said?”

“Y-yes!” Izuku said apologetically when they went out for lunch one day.

“Then what did I say?” She leered before sighing. “Something’s bothering you.”
Izuku looked at her and wondered if he should ask her about what he was doing wrong. He could trust Uraraka afterall. She wasn’t like Kacchan or Todoroki. She wouldn’t try to kill Iida… Unless Kacchan and Todoroki took his side? They were both alphas too afterall…
Maybe all alphas were like this and he was the awful Omega who any alpha would try and beat some sense into.

“Um… I guess I’m still getting used to this whole omega thing.” Izuku smiled sadly.

“Still? It’s been two years!” Ochaco pointed out.
“You’ve been an omega for much longer than that! Give me a break!” Izuku laughed.

“I guess you’re right. Whats been hard for you?” She questioned.

“Um.. Tenya…” Izuku didn’t know how to say it. “He doesn’t like a lot of things I do lately. I keep messing up.”
“Iida-kun loves you!” Ochaco grabbed Izuku’s hands reassuringly. “No matter how much you mess up, he’s crazy about you! So don’t worry! You two are a perfect match! He’ll understand okay?”

“But.. I keep making him mad…” Izuku sighed.

“Couples get in fights Deku-kun.”
“It’s not always going to be sunshine and rainbows. Besides, aren’t you used to making alphas mad?” She giggled.

“What do you mean?” Izuku retracted his hands.

“You’ve been making Bakugo-kun mad your whole life!” She teased.

“It’s different!”

“How?!”
"Because Kacchan never-" Suddenly danger sense went off. Izuku whipped his head around to the front door where he saw his alpha walk in to his horror.

"Oh there he is right now! Iida-kun! Come here!" Ochaco waved her hand.

"Hello Uraraka-kun!" Tenya greeted pleasantly.
But Izuku could tell, he was angry.

"I thought you were on patrol today?" She tilted her head.

"I was and saw you two in the window and thought I would sit and chat with you like old times!" He plopped down next to Izuku and put his arm around his shoulder, squeezing it tight.
Too tight.

"That sounds great! I feel totally left out of your love fest!" Ochaco giggled. "You have no time for me anymore!"

"Nonsense!"

Tenya and Ochaco caught up for a bit but Izuku couldn't tell what they were saying, he was scared. What did he do now?
"Iida-kun, you could never stay mad at Deku-kun for long right?" Ochaco asked sweetly before reaching for Izuku's hand again, startling him. He frantically mouthed for her to stop but she didn't seem to notice.

"I have never been truly angry with Izuku." Tenya kissed his head.
"See Deku-kun? You're just overthinking again!" She assured him.

"Were you worried about us my darling?" Tenya questioned.

"Not at all." Izuku swallowed the lump in his throat. "Just nervous I guess.."

"Fear not.. I'm still the same Tenya."

"You two make me gag!"
After lunch, Tenya escorted Izuku home and he braced for the worst.

"WERE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME SEEM LIKE A VILLAIN?! OUR QUARRELS ARE A PRIVATE MATTER!"

"H-how did you know what we were talking about?" Izuku teared up.

"I don't listen to your conversations often!"
"HOW DO YOU LISTEN TO MY CONVERSATIONS?!" Izuku was beside himself.

"DON'T YOU RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME! I HAVE TO MAKE SURE SOMEHOW THAT.. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Tenya raged as Izuku activated his quirk and crushed his cell phone with his hand. "HOW DARE YOU! I PAY FOR THAT!"
"You're suffocating!" Izuku cried. "I can't even have a private conversation anymore?! How long have you had a listening device in my phone?!"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER!"

"YES IT-" Danger sense went off again and Izuku's heart felt the weight of it once again. He was so tired.
"Don't do this!" He begged.

"Don't do what?!"

"What you were about to do!" Izuku sobbed and Tenya calmed down.

"I don't want to keep doing this, Izuku... but you have no respect for me!" Tenya wrapped his arms around him and held him tight. "I just want what's best.."
"Tell me how I can help!" Izuku begged. "I'm new at this! I don't know what else I'm doing wrong! I'm not trying to disrespect you! I'm not trying to hurt your feelings! I'm trying to learn the rules but every day you add something new!"

Speaking it out loud, Izuku felt pathetic
"It's all in your head darling.." Tenya pat him soothingly. "You just keep worrying me. I'm sorry about the device. I will buy you a new phone without one. I shouldn't have intervened. I'll try to be better."

"I just want us to be happy again..." Izuku cried in his shoulder.
"We will be..." Tenya kissed him passionately. "I just love you so much. I don't like to see you cry."

"I remember when you and Todoroki-kun told me it's okay to cry and offered me food.." Izuku sniffled. "Where's that Tenya?"

"He's still here. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."
Izuku tried to believe him once again. Tenya was his wonderful self with no incidents for two months. He forgot all about when he wasn't wonderful. Izuku was happy again. No danger sense at home. He finally felt safe after work.
Until Izuku went grocery shopping on his day off.

"Midoriya?"

Izuku turned around slowly to see Shoto waving at him from the next aisle. Izuku shyly waved back but kept his distance.

"I found the sugar! Oh hi Midoriya!" Momo met up with Shoto.
"Hi you guys!" Izuku sighed in relief. He could talk to Todoroki as long as YaoMomo was there. He missed him.

"Are you shopping for the party too?" Momo asked Izuku excitedly.

"What party?" Izuku blinked.

"Did Iida not tell you?" Shoto asked suspiciously.

"Tell me what?"
"Bakugo-san is coming back early!" Momo beamed.

"What?!" Izuku gawked.

"He wanted to surprise all of us but he made the mistake of telling Kaminari so we're surprising him with a party instead." Shoto informed him.
"WH-WHEN?!" Izuku asked much too enthusiastically but he didn't care.

"Tonight!" Momo said and Izuku felt his heart drop into his stomach. If he never ran into them, he wouldn't have known!

"Where's the party?! I have to come!" Izuku balled his fists.
After Momo gave him the details, she ran to a different aisle to grab an ingredient leaving Izuku alone with Todoroki once again.

"Iida was one of the first people she told, you know." Shoto said angrily. "He's known for a week."

"Has he really?" Izuku felt his fists shake.
"Midoriya." Shoto grabbed Izuku's wrists before he could walk away. "How does he treat you?"

"What do you mean?" Izuku felt scared again. He looked around to see if anyone was watching or taking photos or if Iida was outside on the street.
"Don't lie to me of all people about something like this." Shoto looked into his eyes and Izuku felt completely seen through. He felt his face heat up and felt ashamed. This was different. Todoroki couldn't fight back. Todoroki suffered so much more than him.
"Um...." Izuku felt his mouth dry up.

"Midoriya! I can help you!" Shoto said desperately.

"You're wrong!" Izuku insisted. "Whatever you're thinking! It's wrong! Tenya treats me wonderfully!" He pulled his wrist away. "He must have just forgotten! I'll be there tonight!"
The alpha looked at him with a sadness that he hated. It made him feel small, weak.

"I'm sorry." Izuku's voice cracked. "You have nothing to worry about, okay? I have to go but it was nice seeing you!"

It hurt to lie to him. Izuku left the store without buying anything.
His chest hurt. His head hurt. His whole body hurt as tears poured down his face while he jogged all the way home. He burst the door open, startling his fiance.

"Goodness, what's wrong darli-"

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" Izuku cried.

"Tell you what?!"

"About the party !"
"Party? Oh... someone told you?" Tenya raised his brow calmly.

"Why did you keep it from me?!"

"Why are so upset?! Did you think I had ill intentions?!" Tenya pat his head gently. "I merely wanted to surprise YOU."

"Huh?"

"I know how much Bakugo means to you..."
"So my plan was to tell you to dress nice and whisk you away to the party without you knowing what it was for! Then when he walked in, I could relish in your happy face!" Tenya smiled. "I just wanted to do something nice. Did you think I was trying to hurt you?"
"I..." Izuku took a moment to calm down. "I'm sorry. I thought maybe... since Kacchan's an alpha..."

"Izuku." Tenya held him close. "I'm better now. Everything is better now."

"Okay!" Izuku nodded excitedly. "I'm sorry for doubting you!"

"It's alright my dear!"
“Shall I make you tea to calm you down? I can make your favorite.” Tenya said soothingly.

“Yeah… I’d like that.” Izuku sniffles guiltily. Tenya was lovely… he felt awful for doubting him. He changed. He was being better. Izuku had to respect that.
After Tenya brought the tea, Izuku crawled in his lap and apologized again.

“No worried my dear. I should have known you would have found out somehow.” Tenya chuckled.

“It would have been a wonderful surprise.” Izuku smiled. “I miss Kacchan a lot!”
“Oh… about that.” Iida cleared his throat awkwardly. “Don’t you think you’re a little too old to address Bakugo-kun by such a childish name?”

“Kacchan doesn’t mind it.” Izuku shrugged. “I’ve never called him anything else. It would be weird to change it now.”
“Yes, but you are almost married now Izuku.” Tenya squeezed him close. “To use such an endearing name for someone else… you told me to make it clear when I feel disrespected and I’m sorry to say, it makes me feel that way.”

“Why?!” Izuku gawked.

“Don’t make such a face..”
Tenya demanded. “Its just how I feel. So please at the party and every time we see him, refer to him as Bakugo-kun.”

Izuku took note of the term “we”. Was he really not going to let him spend time alone with Kacchan just like he did with Todoroki? Of course…
Why did he think it would be different?

“I can’t.” Izuku said firmly. “I understand your feelings but I’m sorry. This is something I can’t change.” He breaded for danger sense but to his surprise, it didn’t go off.

“I see.” Tenya sighed.
“I hoped we could see eye to eye or compromise somehow but maybe you will respect my feelings over time.” Tenya pat his head a handed him his tea. “I’m sure it will be a lovely party tonight.”

“I’m really excited.” Izuku nodded before taking a sip.
They chatted about work and had a normal conversation. Izuku was relieved. Tenya did change. Everything really was okay. He didn’t lie to Todoroki. He wouldn’t have to lie to Kacchan. Izuku felt really happy, so happy his head felt fuzzy.
“T-Tenya?” Izuku questioned as the room began to spin.

“Yes my sweet omega…” Tenya‘s voice echoed.

“I’m sleepy…”

“I know dear…”

“Can I nap?”

“Of course…”

“Carry me, I can’t…”

Then everything went black.

Izuku jolted awake to the sound of his phone going off.
He looked around the dark room and panicked about the time. He frantically grabbed his phone. It was 10 PM. His phone went off again. It was Kirishima.

“K-Kirishima-kun?” Izuku answered quickly.

“Finally you answered! But gah! It’s too late now!”
Eijiro groaned in annoyance.

“Too late?! Did I miss the party?!” Izuku hyperventilated.

“Wasn’t much of a party without you here, dude.” Eijiro grumbled. “I know you’re busy but it was clear Bakugo was totally bummed you didn’t make it.”
“I’m sorry! I don’t know what happened! I was awake and then suddenly I fell asleep and-”

“I’m sorry Midoriya! I’m a little drunk right now so excuse me for being blunt but the excuses are getting old!” Eijiro snapped. “Ever since you got engaged,”
“you’ve blown me off! Todoroki! And now Bakugo?! I get that Iida is like your world now but you have other friends! One who almost died for you and who you haven’t seen in ages by the way! We all just wanted to do something nice for him! But you totally ruined the night!”
Eijiro scolded him.

“I’m sorry!” Izuku cried. “I really wanted to make it…”

“If you really wanted to, you would have made it!” Eijiro snapped before hanging up the phone.

Izuku sunk to the floor as he buried his face in his knees. How could he sleep through that?
The fact that he upset Kacchan and ruined his welcome back party… no. No no no.

“Don’t tell me.” Izuku whispered to himself before running downstairs and seeing his fiancé watching the news calmly on the couch.

“Oh. You’re awake!”
“What did you do to me?!” Izuku interrogated.

“What ever do you-”

“DON’T LIE TO ME! I wasn’t tired when I came home! I wasn’t tired until you gave me that tea! How could you?! You never wanted me at that party!” Izuku screamed.

“What are these accusations?!” Tenya stood up.
“You knew how badly I wanted to be there!”

“Exactly! That’s why I tried to wake you up but it was you who wasn’t budging out of the bed!” Tenya insisted.

“STOP LYING!” Izuku cried. “I can’t believe you would drug me! This isn’t love!”
“Calm down Izu-”

“YOU DON’T GET TO TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!”

“I SAID CALM DOWN!” Tenya roared, activating danger sense which angered Izuku even more.

“OR WHAT?! HUH?! What are you gonna do this time?! Push me out the window?!”
Izuku angrily cried. “You didn’t change at all! I can’t stand this anymore! The only reason you can even do anything is because you know I won’t fight back because I actually love you!”

“Are you implying I don’t love you?’ After I do everything for you?!”
“YOU DRUGGED ME!” Izuku reminded him. “That’s not-”

“YOU FELL ASLEEP! I DID NOT DRUG YOU! THE ONLY PERSON YOU HAVE TO BLAME THAT YOU COULDN’T WHORE YOURSELF OUT TO YOUR CHILDHOOD FRIEND IS YOURSELF!”

“What?!” Izuku gawked. “Whore myself out?!”
“Do you really think so lowly of me?!”

“You have no respect for me! Any alpha would be driven insane being with you! And if you think I am bad! Bakugo would do much worse to you!” Tenya claimed.

“Kacchan wouldn’t hurt me!” Izuku cried.
“I can’t even take you seriously when you say his name like that.” Tenya scoffed. “You’re acting like a child.”

“And you’re acting like a villain!” Izuku snapped causing Iida to sock him right in the nose. “AHH!”

“You deserved that!”
Izuku held his broken nose which was bleeding and wondered how he got here.

“YOU DESERVED EVERY TIME I HURT YOU IZUKU! YOU ARE THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL UNLOVING UNCARING BRAT!” Tenya roared. “I won’t apologize this time! You need to learn to behave yourself!”
“You made ME miss Bakugo’s party because of your selfishness! Because you wanted to sleep in! I missed him too, you know! You ruined everybody’s night and you’re making it my problem! How dare you?!”

Was Izuku wrong? Did he fall asleep and blamed Tenya? Did he deserve this?
He thought back to his phone call with Kirishima…

If he really wanted to be there…

His mind swirled. It hurt. Everything hurt. He let out a deep pained whine as his omega distress took over.

“Izuku.” Tenya rushed to him in concern. “I’m sorry. I went to far.”
“I just wanted to go to the party…” Izuku cried. “I wanted to be there…”

“I know… I..”

“Did I really deserve this?” Izuku showed him his hand full of his own blood. “Am I such a bad omega that anyone would do this to me? I… I’m sorry… I just wanted to go.”
“No. Don’t apologize! I’m an awful alpha. It’s me! I should have tried harder to wake you up! I shouldn’t have hit you! I don’t know what came over me! I’m so sorry! I’ll make it up to you!” Iida bowed low and kissed his feet, his legs, his hips. “I’m awful! I’m sorry!”
“I will invite Bakugo to dinner tomorrow night, okay? I’ll cook a delicious meal in our home and we can welcome him back properly! But let’s take you to the hospital to fix that nose! I’m so sorry Izuku. I love you! I love you!”

Izuku felt numb. This didn’t feel like love…
But if he could make it up to Kacchan with a nice dinner, that would be wonderful.

“Kacchan likes his food spicy…” Izuku reminded Tenya.

“Please practice calling him at least Katsuki. Compromise?”

Izuku was too tired and too numb to fight.

“Ka…tsuki likes his food spicy…”
TBC after nap 🌶️
“Sit dear.” Tenya laughed as Izuku frantically observed every nook and cranny of their house to ensure it was dusted properly. “We have some of the best maids in the country!”

“But they don’t know Kacchan!” Izuku gulped as he dusted one tiny speck in the corner of a desk.
“Izuku…” Tenya stressed.

“Sorry! It’s a habit! It’s very hard to break.” Izuku sighed in frustration.

“Try.”

“They don’t know Katsuki…” Izuku felt weird saying it. He knew Kacchan would feel weird about it too.
He was very excited to see him.

“What time is it?”

“6:00 PM.” Tenya informed him.

“He’ll be here in an hour! I gotta shower!” Izuku rushed up the stairs when Tenya suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him into a deep kiss.

“Let me join you.”
The way he growled, smelled, caressed his arm, Izuku knew what he wanted.

“Not now.” Izuku pleaded. “I need to get ready.”

“But I can’t resist you now. The house is perfect dear. You just need to throw a shirt on and-”

“No.” Izuku ripped himself away.
“This what I mean when I say you’re disrespectful.” Tenya growled under his breath. “I’m welcoming him into our home. The least you can do is-”

“Tenya.” Izuku said sweetly before floating to match his eye level. “After, okay?” He gave him a gentle kiss on the nose.
Tenya blushed and cleared his throat. “R-right. Carry on then.”

Izuku took his time in the bath and looked for the least dorky outfit he could find to greet his childhood friend. He was really gonna see Kacchan after all this time. It filled him with a sense of joy.
A sense of joy he hadn’t felt in a long time. He felt his stomach flutter with butterflies. Nothing could ruin tonight. Not even Tenya. The doorbell rang and he excited ran down the stairs like he used to when he was a kid and his mom told him Kacchan was waiting outside to play.
“Bakugo! Welcome to our home!” Tenya greeted as he opened the door.

“Where’s the ner-”

“Kacchan!” Izuku popped out from under his fiancés arm and gasped at the sight. Kacchan got even more handsome. It felt surreal seeing him. Like all his worries melted away.
Tenya cleared his throat in irritation before glaring at Izuku.

“How have you been?! I can’t believe you’re back so soon!”

“Long plane ride last night so I’m fucking beat and then the damn idiots decided a party is what I needed.” Katsuki scoffed.

“I’m so sorry I missed it!”
Izuku bowed slightly. “I must have been more exhausted than I thought!”

“I tried to wake him.” Tenya grinned.

“Did ya dump a bucked water over his head?” Katsuki questioned.

“Er…no?”

“Then ya didn’t try hard enough!” Katsuki scolded.

“Kacchan!” Izuku laughed.
“Come inside! Tenya’s chefs made your favorite!” Izuku pulled him by the arm in their house.

“I’m sure Bakugo can walk himself dear.” Tenya said as calmly as he could muster.

“I have to show you around to my favorite places!” Izuku beamed at Katsuki, ignoring Tenya.
“What is this? The tour guide of the nerd kingdom?” Katsuki scoffed.

“That’s exactly what it is!” Izuku challenged him. He led him everywhere and babbled on about their home while asking Kacchan about where he’s living these days.

“I’m with the hag for now.” Katsuki shrugged.
“Is there a reason you moved back so soon?” Izuku questioned and Katsuki stared at him for a long moment before looking away.

“Half and Half missed me, and I was bored.” He shrugged.

“Really? You moved back for Todoroki-kun?!” Izuku blinked in surprise.

“He said I should.”
“I had nothing better to do so I did. That’s all.” Katsuki informed him.

“Oh! Well I’m really glad you’re back!” Izuku giggled.

“We both are.” Tenya piped up.

Izuku finished up his little tour and dragged him to the kitchen.

“And this is our last stop!”
“Wait. Are you shitting me?! That’s it?!” Katsuki gawked.

“Is there something wrong?” Izuku questioned.

“Where’s all your nerd shit?! I expected golden All Might statues all over the place!” Katsuki grumbled.

“O-oh! It’s all at my mom’s for now!”
“I am going to build a room for it after the wedding.” Tenya informed him.

“A room?! So when you come home from a long day, you gotta walk out back to see your favorite shit?” Katsuki rolled his eyes. “I expected this whole house to be red white and blue! I saw Ingenium stuff!”
“Well sorry to disappoint you!” Izuku rubbed the back of his head nervously.

“Whatever. Let’s eat! I’m starved. Katsuki sat at the table where Izuku usually sat and Tenya pulled up his chair to sit next to him at the head but Izuku sat in the chair before he could.
“I hope you like it! I told them to make it spicy!”

“Holy fuck. I miss Japanese food.” Katsuki’s mouth watered as the servants brought their plates from the kitchen.

Tenya awkwardly sat at the other end of the table and fumed to himself.
“Did they not have any in America?” Izuku gasped in horror.

“Yeah they had some, but nothing like this!” Katsuki dug in with his chopsticks and Izuku noticed him awkwardly fumbling with them.

“Did you really forget how to use chopsticks, Kacchan?!” Izuku laughed.
“Katsuki!” Iida corrected him, making the other alpha look at him in confusion. “Sorry Bakugo-kun, but wouldn’t you prefer Izuku call you a little something more grown up?” He tried to say with a smile on his face.

“Anyway, I can use chopsticks just fine! Ya don’t just forget!”
Katsuki brushed him off. “My hand’s just numb from the last mission I did. Used my explosions in too small a space!”

“Oh! Tell me about it!” Izuku nodded excited, turning his head away from Tenya. Another rule he broke at the dinner table. But it didn’t matter.
None of the rules mattered with Kacchan here.

“And then bam! He runs in the subway! Ya know how hard it is to catch a criminal in a New York subway?!”

“Aren’t they just as crowded as here??”

“Yeah! But people here actually give a shit and move out of the way!”
“Wow! I wish I could have visited you and seen for myself!” Izuku groaned in frustration.

“That’s no one’s fault but your own! I offered ya know!”

“I know but I-”

“But WE were very busy Bakugo-kun.” Tenya butted it.

“I didn’t invite you.” Katsuki scoffed.
“And don’t you see how inviting an engaged omega without their fiancé would make him feel?” Tenya gestured to the ring on Izuku’s hand.

“Blah blah blah. Nerd’s been wanting to go forever.”

“I have!” Izuku agreed with Katsuki. “I’ll definitely have to visit soon!”
That was another rule he broke. Agreeing with another alpha in an argument.

“Ya got anything stronger to drink?” Katsuki questioned.

“We do actually! I’ll make you a vodka soda!” Izuku stood up and happily went to the kitchen and grabbed Tenya’s favorite cocktail glass.
He knew he was pushing it to the limit but he felt exhilarated. Free.

“I don’t need one, dear.” Tenya stressed.

“This is for Kacchan!” Izuku filled it to the brim and handed it to him.

“Thanks nerd.” Katsuki gulped the whole thing down.
“Maybe I should make one for myself too!” Izuku shrugged. “Or I guess I could just have the rest of the sake.” He poured the sake in the same glass Katsuki drank out of and drank from the same side of the cup.

“Izuku, can I speak with you for a moment?!” Tenya growled.
“We have company dear! It’s rude to leave Kacchan unattended!” Izuku knew at that moment he had nothing to lose. Tenya was not going to hurt him as long as Kacchan was around.

“Right. My apologies.” Tenya cleared his throat.

“Do you want to see our library?!”
Izuku asked Katsuki excitedly.

“Do ya still have those old All Might comics in there at least?” Katsuki grumbled.

“I do! Come on!”

“I’m turning in for the night.” Tenya stood up angrily.

“Goodnight!”
“Night!”

Izuku and Katsuki said at once.
Izuku made them two more vodka sodas and brought a bottle of wine before they went into the study that Tenya forbade food and drink from.

He talked and caught up with Kacchan for hours. It was amazing. With every word he felt more and more himself.
Izuku realized he didn’t only miss Kacchan. He missed himself. He missed freedom. He missed his other alpha friends. He missed life without eggshells to walk on.

“How are ya holdin’ up with all that omega shit, huh?” A very drunk Katsuki rested his head on his shoulder.
“I hate it!” Izuku groaned. “Theresso many rules I don’t really understand.” He slurred his words.

“Yeah? Well ya smell good at least.”

“You think?” Izuku blushed furiously as Katsuki put his nose in his scent gland.

“Notfair…”

“What’s not f-fair?”
Izuku’s heart hammered in his chest.

“Missed two years of this scent… what the hell….”

“I think I should get you some water.” Izuku giggled before standing up.

“‘M sorry. Did I make you uncomfortable?” Katsuki questioned nervously.

“N-no! You’re just very drunk, Kacchan!”
“Soareyou…” Katsuki pouted and Izuku couldn’t help but giggle. Kacchan was sappy when he was drunk. It was SO CUTE. “What are you laughin at?!”

“Nothing! Nothing!” Izuku tried to keep it in.

“Yer a meanie head!”

“A meanie head?! Wow. You are drunk!”
Izuku was about to go upstairs but Katsuki grabbed his arm.

“Don’t leave…it’s been two years.”

“I’ll be back.” Izuku giggled.

“Don’t get married.” Katsuki blurted out.

“Huh?” Izuku turned around and even though he was drunk, he was serious.
“Nevermind… I should get home.” Katsuki sighed.

“I’ll call you a cab.” Izuku told him. “Come on, let’s go get you that water.”

He helped him up the stairs and with each step, Izuku felt more and more confident about what he had to do. Kacchan was right.
He shouldn’t get married. He wasn’t in love with who Tenya became after he moved in. He would never get that sweet Tenya back. Maybe the awful and scary Tenya was always there and was just waiting to come out. Either way, Izuku couldn’t be with him a moment longer.
He was so grateful for Kacchan’s return. So grateful that Todoroki urged him to come home. Izuku finally remembered himself. He didn’t deserve to be in this relationship any longer.

“The cab is here. Let me walk you out the door.” Izuku said after Katsuki guzzled his water.
“You don’t have work tomorrow, do you?” Katsuki questioned.

“I do, but I think I’m going to take the day off.” Izuku smiled.

“You? Taking a day off?”

“Let’s meet for lunch. Okay?” Izuku smiled hopefully but he knew lunch wasn’t guaranteed. Danger sense was going haywire.
“Yeah. Let’s go to that old diner in our neighborhood. I miss that shithole.” Katsuki suggested.

“I’d love that!” Izuku beamed. “How’s 1:00?”

“Make it 1:30. I can see this hangover kicking my ass!” Katsuki groaned.

“2:00 then!”

“Yeah. 2:00.”
Katsuki walked out the door when Izuku suddenly grabbed his jacket sleeve.

Izuku was scared. He was shaking all over. He tried to collect himself. He needed to ground himself.

“You alright?” Katsuki questioned.

“I just really missed you!” Izuku beamed. “I’m glad you’re back!”
Katsuki stared at him for a long moment before gently grabbing hand. “I missed you too, nerd.”

Katsuki was exhausted when he got home. He plopped on his bed and thought he would go straight to sleep but something bothered him deeply about that last interaction with Izuku.
Maybe Katsuki was overthinking it because his newfound hatred for Iida.

Katsuki had a blast in the US. It made him understand how All Might became All Might. He had all sorts of new experiences but he couldn’t truly be happy there.
Everything reminded him of Izuku. Everything reminded him he was without Izuku. And when he found out Izuku presented omega, he almost flew back to Japan to be with him. But he knew that would be crazy. He was there to improve as a hero. He had to try to get him off his mind.
When he heard the nerd was being courted by the class President, it made him angry. He didn’t understand why he was so angry and miserable about it but at least he could feel comfort that Iida was a good guy. If there was anyone who would care for Izuku, it was him or Todoroki.
But he was kicking himself that it wasn’t himself. Katsuki realized he loved Izuku. But damnit, he did leave him there. He was a fool to think the nerd would wait especially when he was vulnerable and probably yearning for any alphas touch. It made him sick.
He tried to get him to visit the US so he would love it so much, he would stay and have no choice but to dump Iida. Then he would realize they were perfect together and live happily ever after. Damnit Izuku made him so damn corny. But he wanted him. He craved him.
And he lost his shit when he found out he was engaged.

Katsuki pathetically begged him to wait to get married till he returned because he hoped he would see him, throw the ring out and they could live happily ever after but it was all just a fairy tale.
Katsuki purposefully took an extra month in New York after his internship with over so Izuku could visit him and he could nerd out in Manhattan. But Izuku couldn’t make it and it devastated him. It took zero convincing when Shoto called him and said he needed to come back.
Katsuki let it slip to Dunce Face because he knew he would throw some party to surprise him and Izuku would be one of the first people he sees when returned. But Izuku wasn’t at the party and it broke his heart. When he heard how everyone talked about it, it made him feel worse.
Supposedly he shut out all alphas after getting engaged. Katsuki even found out he still had the same number so what gives about the new one?!

Shoto tried to pull him aside at the party to say something but Katsuki’s stupid friends hovered around him and got him drunk
When Iida called him the next day to invite him over for dinner, he accepted a little too eagerly. He knew he would hate seeing Izuku’s life with another alpha but he just wanted to see him again.

And seeing him again practically knocked him off his socks.
He was even more beautiful that he remembered if that was possible. And his scent was the best thing that has ever graced Katsuki’s senses. Iida was a hinderance at that point. Katsuki wished he would disappear. All he wanted was Izuku.
His alpha ego was stroked when Izuku didn’t seem to notice the class President either. His eyes were glued to Katsuki’s every word. And while Katsuki’s eyes were also glued to Izuku’s words, he couldn’t understand a thing he was saying, he was so distracted by his looks.
And his scent. And the sound of his voice. And his firm but gentle grasp on his arm.

Katsuki understood why Iida was annoyed with both of them. And he was very clearly annoyed. Any alpha would be annoyed at their omega looking at another alpha the way Izuku looked at him.
But it just stroked Katsuki’s ego even more. Stay mad glasses! Izuku was his! When Izuku drank from the same cup as him, Katsuki had to try not to grin in victory at Iida. He almost felt bad for him. But then Katsuki just HAD to get drunk. And damnit he may have messed thing up.
He definitely said way too much. Izuku was sweet and gracious about it as he was about everything but Katsuki worried he would shut him out like the other alphas. But there was something about when he grabbed his sleeve. The look on his face haunted him.

Was Izuku really scared?
Who was he scared of? Katsuki? Glasses? What made him grab onto his sleeve like that?

Katsuki tossed and turned as his stomach hurt from a sickening feeling he couldn’t shake off. Before he knew it, he stormed out of the house and ran towards Izuku’s.
To his horror, Katsuki arrived to the neighbors, police and fire fighters surrounding Izuku’s home which was up in flames.

“IZUKU!” Katsuki screamed before running toward the burning house.

“Stop!” One of the fire fighters instructed him. “It’s dangerous in there!”
“Deku!” Katsuki cried. “Where’s Deku?! Where’s Ingenium?!”

“The two residents were transported to the hospital!” The fire fighter informed him. “According to Ingenium, they were attacked by a deadly villain inside their home.”

“Where’s the villain?!” Katsuki looked around.
“He went up in flames and burned up the home supposedly.”

“Which hospital is Deku at?! Where are they being taken?!”

When Katsuki got the information he needed, he booked it to the hospital. When he got inside, Iida was yelling at the triage lady.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!”
“I’m so sorry sir. For our patients privacy we cannot disclose which room he is in.”

“Don’t you understand?! I am his alpha! His fiancé! You know how badly injured he is! He needs me by his side!” Tenya growled.

“I’m sorry sir. But you are not his husband or his mate.”
“We can only allow family in at this time.” She bowed.

“I AM HIS FAMILY!”

“Hey! Glasses! Calm down!” Katsuki pulled him away. “What’s going on?! What happened?!”

“A really horrible villain attacked when you left. Izuku fought it on his own as always and… he paid the price.”
Tenya cried. “Now our home is gone, and Izuku… they won’t let me see him! Bakugo-kun, it’s awful what villain did!”

“Let me handle this.” Katsuki walked to the triage lady.

“I’m sorry sir.” She mumbled under her breath. “Did he say your name is Bakugo-kun?”

“Yeah?”
“Can I see your Id?” She requested and Katsuki handed it to her.

“I see.” She handed it back and began frantically writing on a piece of paper. She ripped it off and handed it to Katsuki.

‘Wait in room 3A. Don’t tell his alpha.’

Katsuki nodded in understanding.
“This isn’t the time to be flirting lady!” Katsuki ripped up the paper.

“M-my apologies!”

Katsuki began to storm out.

“What happened?! Where are you going?!” Tenya questioned.

“To take a shit. They aren’t gonna tell us anything!”
“They need to! This is an abomination!” Tenya screamed.

“Keep tryin’ Prez.”

Katsuki had to resist socking him in the face. Whatever was happening wasn’t right. He found his way to 3A and sat there for an agonizing ten minutes.

“Apologies for the wait.” A doctor lady walked in
“I’m Dr. Miyagi. Are you Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight-San? I’m a huge fan of your debut in the states.” She greeted.

“YOU’RE NOT JUST A CRAZY FANGIRL ARE YOU?! Is that why I’m here?!” Katsuki raged.

“No dear. Keep your voice down.”
She whispered. “This is a serious matter regarding Midoriya Izuku.”

Katsuki stopped yelling and hung onto her every word.

“Working close to his route, I see him a lot and tend to most if not all of his injuries.” She informed him. “To put it bluntly, Midoriya is not here.”
“Huh?” Katsuki began to panic. Not here in this hospital? Or not here in this…

“I had him transported to a battered omega recovery facility.” She explained. “What happened to him today.” She began to cry. “It’s the worst I’ve ever seen any omega in his situation..”
“Do you understand what I’m saying Bakugo-San? This is not the work of a villain!”

“That bastard….” Katsuki began to hyperventilate. “Did something to him?!”

“I had my suspicions for a long time that things weren’t right with him and Ingenium but last night,”
“my fears were confirmed when Midoriya came in with a broken nose. They again claimed it was a villain attack but there was nothing on the news of hero Deku taking on a villain at night. I healed his injuries… but when Iida walked away he asked me to do something.”
“He changed his emergency contact from Iida Tenya to you.” The doctor informed him.

Katsuki’s mind swirled. His body ached. His heart hurt. Iida was… hurting Izuku? Iida hurt him more than once? He broke his nose? He.. oh god what did he do?!

“WHAT DID HE DO TO HIM?!”
“Midoriya was brought to us in a severe drop. He was dying from strangulation. There were bruises, bite marks, and scratches all over his body. His face was unrecognizable. His ankles and wrists were snapped… he was like a limp doll.” The doctor detailed.
“We did our best to heal all his injuries here but his best chance of recovering from drop was this facility.” She handed Katsuki a business card with the address. “I want to be clear about something. No alphas are allowed here.”
“But it is my professional opinion that his best chance of recovery is with you. He speaks and thinks very highly of you. It’s clear every time he said your name, you filled him with happiness. Take some time, calm yourself down. Don’t do anything to get arrested or-”
“draw attention to yourself. Izuku’s room number is on the back of the card. I have a friend there who is willing to do me a huge favor and let you in but the entire reputation of the facility lies on you getting in undetected. Understand?” The doctor instructed.
“How long has he come in for injuries by him?” Katsuki’s voice cracked.

“In hindsight… about a year now.” The doctor said sadly.

Katsuki broke down crying.

“Take your time to calm down before going to the facility. We will get justice for Midoriya. But he needs you.”
Katsuki’s head was all over the place. No amount of time could calm him down. He completely failed to protect the guy he loved. He should have back sooner. He never should have left the house. He never should have left Japan. He never should have left Izuku.

Katsuki was amazed by the rooms in the omega facility. They were cozy, calming, and their beds were so soft. Izuku looked tiny bundled up in the covers, it looked like the IVs were supporting the bed, not the omega in it. Katsuki caressed his beautiful face that-
they bastard dared to bruise up. He scented his neck and his wrist and curled up next to him.

“It’s going to be okay Izuku..” Katsuki whispered. “I’m here.”

He grabbed his hand gently and gave it a squeeze. And it was subtle but the omega gave him a tiny squeeze back.
TBC 🏥
Katsuki stayed by Izuku’s side for two weeks. Only leaving and sneaking back in to prepare things for when Izuku woke up. He wasn’t going to entertain the thought that he wouldn’t wake up. That wasn’t going to happen. Katsuki wondered if Izuku anticipated how far Iida would go.
“Kacchan, you should borrow these!” He remembered Izuku stuffing all of his All Might comics in a bag and handing it to him before he left his house the night of the fire.

The damned nerd would rather his precious comics stay in one piece than himself.
Katsuki informed three people only what was going on with Izuku. Auntie Inko, All Might, and Todoroki. Out of the three of them, Shoto took it the hardest. He desperately wanted to be wrong. Katsuki had to make him swear not to confront Iida just yet.
As much as he deserved to freeze to death or burn to death or whatever method Shoto chose, Katsuki wanted to be there. He needed to see him suffer. But he couldn’t do anything to him if he wanted to keep visiting Izuku.
He prepared Izuku’s old room in Auntie Inko’s house for his return. Set up his old merch, built a nest with all his favorite scents and set up All Might twinkle lights. Inko was grateful for his help, as she was equally devastated by what happened to her son.
She had to stay away from the news for her own good and so did Katsuki. Because Iida wasn’t backing down on his search for Izuku. That bastard was stirring up a wave of supporters to protest the hospital keeping his omega from him. There were conspiracy theories left and right-
about what happened to Japan’s greatest hero.

‘Where’s Deku’
‘Free Deku’
And
‘Give him the room number’

Were all trending topics for the week. Katsuki couldn’t believe the audacity of that prick. He practically killed Izuku. What else could he possibly want from him?!
“Katsuki-kun.” Inko answered the door as Katsuki brought her groceries of Izuku’s favorite foods. “Thank you so much for all you’re doing. But you should go home and rest. You look exhausted.”

“I can’t be away from him long, Auntie.”
Katsuki said stubbornly. “The chairs over there are comfy enough.”

“Thank you so much for being with him.” Inko cried. “I can’t believe I didn’t notice…”

“Izuku’s really good at pretending he’s fine.” Katsuki sighed. “If I never left… none of this would have happened.”
“Don’t blame yourself… Izuku wouldn’t want that.” Inko sniffled.

Katsuki knew she was right but it was impossible not to. The new phone number should have set him off that something was wrong. There were many warning signs looking back.
If Katsuki was here, he would have seen the complete picture and stopped this bullshit before it went too far. The only one who seemed to pick up on it was Todoroki. But according to him, Iida did a great job of isolating Izuku away.
After helping Auntie put away the groceries, Katsuki made the drive back to the facility. He looked up at the All Might that dangled off his keys and couldn’t believe he had to be the one stop his idol from committing a late night murder a few nights ago.
“YOU GOTTA WAIT OLD MAN! NOW IS NOT THE TIME!” Katsuki pulled the angry former symbol of peace away from Iida’s family home that he happened to drive by at the perfect moment to catch All Might before he could bust in his window with a hammer.
“HOW COULD HE HURT HIM THAT WAY AND STILL WALK AROUND LIKE THAT?!” All Might had screamed in pain. “IF YOUNG MIDORIYA FOUGHT BACK… if he fought back-”

Katsuki knew. Izuku had all the power in the world and Tenya took advantage of the fact that he would never use it against him.
When Katsuki arrived back at the facility, he was relieved Izuku hadn’t woken up scared and alone without him but he was also worried that he hadn’t woken up.

“I’m back…” Katsuki caressed his face gently with his thumb. It had healed at this point.
And Katsuki could never understand how anyone would want to damage it the way Iida had. It was such a perfect face.

“Have I got a news story for you.” The alpha kicked his feet up on the comfy chair and read to Izuku some hero gossip magazines.
“And this one theorizes that Kamui woods is cheating on Mt. Lady with a tree.” Katsuki scoffed. “Who wrote this stupid article?!”

“Mm…” Izuku groaned and Katsuki watched with baited breath to see if he would wake up… but he went right back to sleep.

“Bullshit stuff, huh?”
After rotting his brain for another two hours on hero gossip and discovering Denki does drag shows as a side gig, Katsuki fell asleep holding Izuku's hand. He didn't lie to Auntie about the chairs. They were soft and cushiony like clouds. He just hadn't let himself fall to their
temptation. But exhaustion had finally won.

"You got an offer in America?!" Izuku gasped after their graduation ceremony.

"Yeah..." Katsuki looked away bashfully. "I think I'm gonna take it."

"You would be crazy not to!"
Izuku encouraged.

Oh. This day. Izuku remembered the swirl of emotions he had felt. He had been hopeful after their third year at UA that he wouldn't drift apart from Kacchan after graduation. It was a strong fear he had. After all, school was the thing that kept them together.
But Kacchan had kept insisting on training together, coming up with combinations of their quirks and making comments about them facing villains together. It made Izuku feel like they were on the same page. They would work together. They would still be… together.
So when Kacchan dropped the bomb on him that he was leaving the country for two years, it devastated him. What he really wanted to say was…

“Don’t go!”

Or..

“Let me come with you!”

But Izuku couldn’t say either of those things. Afterall, if he got the offer, he would take it
It was an opportunity neither would be able to refuse. So who was he to ask Kacchan to refuse it?

He didn’t know how hard his life would get after left.

Izuku broke down crying.

“Oy! What’s wrong?!”

That’s not what happened… but Izuku’s subconscious was playing tricks.
“Don’t leave Kacchan! Don’t go! Stay here!” He sobbed. “I don’t want to present without you here! I don’t to rely on someone who isn’t you! I don’t want to become who I am now! I don’t want to let him hurt me!”

“Let who hurt you! What are you talking about?!” Katsuki shook him.
“Midoriya.” Iida appeared suddenly behind Katsuki. “Congratulations. I hope we could find time for each other once school ends.”

“Go away Prez!” Katsuki barked. “Can’t you see he’s crying?!”

“Midoriya. Let’s go.” Tenya grabbed Izuku roughly.

“No! Stop! Kacchan! Help!”
Tenya pulled him further and further into a dark hallway and danger sense stormed in his head.

“SAVE ME!”

“Izuku!” Katsuki grabbed his hand firmly and walked with him to a bright green field. “It’s alright. Open your eyes.”
“I’m scared.” Izuku sniffled.

“I know.” Katsuki gently wiped his tears away with his hand. “But it’s alright. I’m here now. So open your eyes for me.”

Izuku squeezed the hand that was holding his tighter.

“You did good. You got out. You’re safe. So open your eyes!”
Izuku jolted awake with a long gasp. He took a moment to collect his breath and take in his surroundings. He was in a strange room. But it was comforting somehow. There was soft purple lighting, a scent diffuser and the sound of wind chimes.
The bed he was in felt like heaven. Was he in heaven? He suddenly felt the reassuring pressure on his hand and looked to see who was holding it.

“Ka…cchan?” Izuku said breathlessly at the beautiful alpha who’s head was resting on his lap.

Yes, he must be in heaven.
Katsuki startled awake at his voice and stared at him in awe.

"Izuku... you're awake!" He cried. "Holy shit, you're awake!" His voice cracked as he embraced him.

Izuku melted into his chest. Was this real? "Am I... alive?" He questioned.
Katsuki desperately pulled away and caressed his face as he looked at him.

"Yes... yes you're alive! You survived what that asshole did to you! I'm sorry I didn't stop him! I'm sorry I didn't stay when you grabbed my jacket sleeve. I should have fucking seen it!"
"Don't apologize.." Izuku smiled. "You gave me the strength I needed to finally leave him. You reminded me who I was... And Kacchan..." He gave him a shaky thumbs up. "I didn't hurt him. I could have. I could have stooped to his level. I could have become his villain."
"But... I thought in that moment, I wanted to be myself. I wanted to show myself that he didn't break me. That I was still a hero. That even though I was scared... I was also brave. I didn't let him make me stay. So thank you!" Izuku rested his head in Katsuki's chest.
"I'm finally free."

Katsuki held him close and let him hold on to that sentiment. Izuku sounded proud of himself for whatever happened between them that awful night. And Katsuki needed to let him be happy before he could fill him on what was going on with that monster.
"Mmm..." Izuku grasped on tightly to Katsuki's shirt.

"What is it?"

"Kacchan smells good too..." Izuku inhaled his scent making him blush furiously.

"You always have time to be a creepy stalker, huh?"

"You're the one who said it about me first!" Izuku laughed.
Katsuki spent the night letting Izuku make sense of his surroundings, and ensuring he felt safe and comfortable. He talked about anything other than the matter at hand and did his best to keep his spirits up. Izuku caught on to what he was doing and was happy to play along.
He was grateful for this moment of peace. The first moment of true serenity since he presented as an omega.

"It's a miracle you're awake Midoriya." The Dr. praised him in the morning. "Dr. Miyagi was right. It was well worth the risk letting your childhood friend in."
Izuku had a lot of questions but he knew he would be overwhelmed by the answers.

"Your vitals are looking great for someone who has been through what you have. It must be all that hero work. You're amazing Midoriya-san."
"If your recovery stays on track, you'll be home by the end of the week." The doctor assured him.

"A whole week?" Izuku blinked. "But I feel fine now."

"You just woke up from a very severe drop." The doctor informed him. "I have to do my due diligence before I release you."
Izuku watched as the doctor gave Kacchan a knowing glance. There was something both of them were afraid to say.

Once the doctor excused himself, Izuku fiddled with his fingers in silence. He knew whatever it was was for his own good. But...
"Kacchan.." Izuku's voice cracked.

"Yeah? You hungry? You ready for the jello?!" Katsuki frantically fussed with the jello cup, desperate for him to eat.

"What happened to Tenya?" Izuku blurted out before he lost his nerve.
Katsuki put the cup down and sighed. "You sure you're ready to talk about everything?"

"You're here, aren't you?" Izuku grabbed his hand.

"First off... what do you remember about what happened? There's a lot I'm still unclear about." Katsuki grumbled.
"It's alright if ya don't wanna say, I'll just tell you what I know!" He assured him.

"I.." Izuku took a deep breath. "After you left, I grabbed my suitcase from the closet and I walked upstairs to our bedroom."
"He was angry. Danger Sense got louder with every step. But I knew I had to leave him. You don't know this, but I broke a lot of rules that night. I stepped all over his feelings the way I was with you. Because I stopped caring about the consequences."
Izuku bit his lip. "He was angry. Angrier than I had ever seen him. But before he could yell at me, I handed him the ring." He showed Katsuki his empty finger. "I told him it was over and I was sorry but I couldn't follow his rules any longer. I couldn't let him hurt me anymore."
"To my surprise, he broke down crying. I apologized and told him I was going to pack my things and leave. He begged me for another chance on his hands and knees. But I kept packing. He tried to stop me from leaving. He even tried using alpha commands but I persisted."
"He begged and begged but I kept packing my things. He tried destroying what I had left to pack so I just walked toward the door. He blocked that so I tried to walk out the window and then he..." Izuku began to shake.

"Hey.." Katsuki traced his thumb over the gland on his wrist.
"You're safe now."

Izuku looked at him gratefully and nodded. "Then he asked me if I still loved him. I told him I'll always have love for him. But no. I wasn't in love with him. After that, all I remember is pain. I couldn't tell you everything he did."
"He just kept hurting me. And when I thought he was done, he found a new way to hurt me. He kept telling me to take it back. That if I took everything back and stayed, he would stop. But I didn't." Izuku cried. "I was so scared. I thought I was going to die."
"But I was happy to die as myself! I was happy to die not giving in to him anymore! At some point he put his hands around my neck... and I don't remember anything else. I must have dropped then. I really don't know how I survived." He sniffled.
Katsuki had to steady his breathing and stop himself from blowing up in a rage. He had stop himself for the thousandth time that week from tracking down Iida and charring his body to bits and feeding them to his parents for daring to create such an abomination.
"I couldn't sleep..." Katsuki informed Izuku. "I couldn't sleep that night so I ran to your house. He... that bastard set it on fire!"

"He.. what?!" Izuku gasped.

"He claimed a villain attacked your home and put you in that condition. But your doctor knew better."
"He tried to cover for his own ass. Probably thought he DID kill you. Dr. Miyagi saved your life by moving you to this facility. She noticed something none of us but Todoroki did... And you saved your own life too. Thank God you changed your emergency contact!"
"She told me what had been going on. She's noticed for awhile Izuku." Katsuki's voice broke. "I wanted to kill him. I wanted more than anything to tear him apart but she told me I had to be there for you and she was right. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner!" He cried. "I'm sorry!"
"Don't cry." Izuku wiped his tears while his own dripped down his face. "I don't know how I let it get this bad. I... presented and I lost myself. I was so confused. Iida was there. He helped me understand. He made me feel safe, loved, cared for. I never thought he would do this"
"I should have left the first time he hurt me! I should have left when he threw that wine glass at me! I should have left when he made me change my patrol. But I stayed! I stayed hoping he would go back to the man who taught me what being an omega was!"
"So don't cry, Kacchan! It's no one's fault but my own!"

"It's not your fault!" Katsuki grabbed his hands desperately. "It's that sick bastards fault. No one's but his! Do you understand me?! You are so... God, you're the definition of love and he took advantage of that!"
"Then why?!" Izuku sobbed. "If I'm so great then why did he do that to me?! He said I was disrespectful, awful, that anyone would do this to me! And maybe I am! Maybe I don't deserve to be loved by anyone!"

"Bullshit!"
Katsuki pulled his shirt down and grabbed Izuku's hands, placing them gently on the scars on his chest. "That's complete and utter bullshit because I love you so damn much, Izuku! Your mom loves you! All Might loves you! And Todoroki goddamn loves you. And it's effortless!"
"You deserve so much more then what that low life did to you! And Midoriya Izuku, I swear, I'm not letting anyone hurt you ever again!"

"Kacchan..." Izuku felt like a the heaviest burden lifted off his shoulders. He felt free, happy...safe. "AAAAAH!" He sobbed his eyes out.
Katsuki held him as he cried for hours and for the first time in years he didn’t feel stupid for doing so. At some point he fell asleep again and when he woke up, he was still in Kacchan’s arms. Everything was okay. Everything would be okay…

“Midoriya, before we discharge you, there’s someone who wants to speak to you.” Izuku’s doctor informed him.

“Who?” Izuku questioned nervously as he put on his red shoes which Kacchan helped him tie.

“Midoriya-San. It’s been awhile.” Dr. Miyagi walked in.

“Miyagi-San!”
Izuku stood up and bowed to her. “I can’t ever repay you for all you’ve done for me.”

“You did this for yourself, dear.” Miyagi bowed back to him. “It was YOU who tipped me off. You fought for your freedom. And you fought to have the right people by your side.”
“Damn straight.” Katsuki nodded his head.

“Still. It’s thanks to you I survived that fight!” Izuku smiled at her.

“That’s actually why I came.” She sat on the chair and gestured for Izuku to sit on the bed. “I hate to point this out, but the fight isn’t over.”
“You’re very lucky to have survived Midoriya, and you can handle this however you please but Ingenium is still acting as a hero. He is still abusing his power to try and find you. He is still suing the hospital. And sadly, this isn’t a unique case.”
“A lot of alphas send omegas to facilities like this and still act as heroes. I know you’re close to the family but just look at Endeavor. Lots of omegas have been in your position and done nothing. You can do that if you please.”
“You can let the ones who love you take vengeance for you as I’m sure they’re all dying to do.” She glared at Katsuki. “Or you can fight for not just yourself but every omega who has been in your shoes.” She handed Izuku a business card for a lawyer.
“The world is wondering where you are. Everyone’s eyes are going to be on you and Ingenium whether you like it or not…”

“You’re thinking Deku’s case is the perfect chance to make a change to system, huh?” Katsuki sighed.

“Only if you’re ready for it.” Miyagi assured Izuku.
“Ingenium took a lot of power from you. You are kind and didn’t fight back even though you are strongest hero out there. But if you want to take your power back, there is no better opportunity than this. I hate spring this on you so soon into your recovery.”
“But in cases like these, telling the story first gives you an advantage. Please. Just think about it.” She stressed.

Izuku looked at the card in his hand and squeezed it tight. He truly had no idea what he was going to do about Tenya.
He thought he would keep his distance but he didn’t realize what a media circus he already made this out to be. The week Izuku spent awake, he remembered the distressed sounds of other omegas who were battered, beat down, and isolated just like him.
A lot of them didn’t have someone like Kacchan. A lot of them had no one. And often that’s why they return to the ones who did this to them. If Izuku could help just one of them by fighting…

“I’ll do it.”

“You sure?!” Katsuki grabbed his hand.
Izuku smiled at their hands linked together and nodded his head.

“Tenya thought he could control me. He thought he could make me forget who I was. But I remember now. I’m a hero. And I will always fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. I have to do this.”
“For me… and everyone who fought for me to get out. I don’t want you in jail for murder Kacchan.” Izuku squeezed his hand tight. “The only one who deserves to be behind bars is him!”

Dr. Miyagi smiled and nodded. “Spoken like a true hero.”
TBC 📇
Izuku was amazed by the way Kacchan set up his room in his mom’s apartment. His nest especially looked so cozy and soft.

“These lights! Where did you get them?!” The omega traced his hand over one of the red All Might shaped bulbs.

“There was a souvenir shop by the facility.”
Katsuki explained. “They had all kinds of shit like this.”

“Is that where you got this as well?” Izuku squeezed the DynaMight teddy bear that was placed in his nest.

“That, I just happened to have.” Katsuki blushed.

Izuku buried his nose in the plush and inhaled it deeply.
“It smells like you.” He smiled.

“Stop that!” Katsuki scolded bashfully.

“Izuku!” His mother walked in holding the phone to her ear. “I know you’re getting adjusted but are you up for some company? All Might is picking up some things for you.”

“Oh…”
Izuku nibbled on his lip. He was nervous to see his mentor. Part of him felt ashamed that he knew what he let happen to him. All Might gave him all this power and he didn’t use it…

“It’s alright.” Katsuki assured him. “He doesn’t think of you any different!”
Izuku smiled gratefully. Kacchan always knew what he was thinking.

“I’d love to see him.” He nodded to his mother.

“I’ll make some tea for us all then!” Inko fretted.

Izuku felt guilty as he noticed the bags under her eyes. He was always making her worry.
This was her worst nightmare when he presented omega. She had warned him that alphas would try and take advantage of him but he assured her he was the number one hero. No alpha would be able to hurt him. He wished he could have proven her wrong.
As soon as she left the room, Kacchan plopped in his nest and gestured for Izuku to join him. The omega timidly sat next to him and let the softness of the fabrics relax him.

“You really built this yourself?” Izuku asked in amazement.

“Ya think I’m a liar?” Katsuki jeered.
“N-no! It’s just…” Izuku clutched the plushblanket underneath him. “It’s great. This whole set up… is great. I feel at home.”

“Good. Now I’m not the only loser who lives with his mom.” Katsuki joked, making Izuku laugh.

“It’s like when we were kids again, huh?”
Katsuki reached over and grabbed his hand.

“It’s a bit different.” He said softly, flustering Izuku.

“Kacchan…” Izuku didn’t know how to bring up what was in his heart. He didn’t quite understand it himself. He loved him. He felt like they belonged together.
But everything was so soon. Izuku was scared. He knew Kacchan better than anyone. He knew Kacchan would never turn into a monster like Iida but… what if he was wrong?

“You’re overthinking again, Izuku.” Katsuki plopped his fist on his forehead gently.
“We don’t have to many any decisions right now. We can just be us. Wherever that naturally takes us. I know you just got fucked in the head majorly. So as slow as you want. As fast as you want. I’m not going anywhere.” He assured him.

“Can you do me a favor?” Izuku grumbled.
“Anything.”

“Can you stop reading my mind? It’s annoying.”

“Not my fault it’s so damn easy to read.” Katsuki scoffed.

“But only you can read it.” Izuku pouted.

“What, like you can’t read mine?”
Izuku looked into his deep red eyes and sighed.

“You’re hungry.”

“AM NOT!” Katsuki blushed furiously before his stomach grumbled, making Izuku laugh.

“Mom! Can you fix us some snacks too?!” Izuku shouted.

“You’re a little shit!”

“What?! You challenged me!”
All Might and Inko smiled to each other softly from the other end of the hall.

“They haven’t even noticed you’re here.” Inko giggled.

“I’m just happy to hear him laughing again.” All Might tried to hold back his tears.

After tea and cookies and some soup for Kacchan,
All Might feverishly apologized for not noticing what his prized pupil was going through.

“If I had just paid slightly more attention… but I never expected Young Iida to be that sort of a man…”

“I don’t think any of us did.” Izuku curled his legs up to his chest.
“I don’t blame anyone for trusting Iida to take care of me. I trusted him too. How could anyone see it anyway? I’m a hero. Injuries are part of my job. I’m an omega. I’m expected to submit to an alpha… there was only one person who noticed and I was too ashamed to admit it.”
“About that..” Katsuki stood up and walked to the door. “We have one more visitor.”

Izuku felt his heart beat wildily as Katsuki opened the door and greeted Shoto. He was so overwhelmed with emotions, he burst into tears.
“Sh-should I go?” Shoto was taken aback.

“No… I’m sorry… I’m just…” Izuku ran and bowed to him. “Thank you… thank you so much. For calling Kacchan… for noticing something was wrong… Tenya was your close friend too and yet… yet you saw what he was capable of.”
“You saved me. You tried to earlier and I denied everything. I’m sorry I lied to you. I was just so embarrassed. I was so embarrassed I didn’t leave earlier.” He sobbed and Shoto pat his head gently.

“You have nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m so glad you’re safe.”
“I’m here for you, whatever you need. I’m just paying forward what you’ve already done for me.” Shoto smiled and Izuku threw his arms around him, startling the alpha who slowly embraced him.

“Um… I guess I’ll need a lot of support soon…” Izuku pulled out the business card.

“How have you been holding up?” Ochaco brought tea toward her long time friend who sat in her living room.

“I am sick with worry. How could this villainous hospital keep us apart! It’s been three weeks! And not even his mother knows where he is! What if he’s…”
Tenya ran his hand over his face. “What if he’s gone forever and they just haven’t told me?” He cried.

“Deku-kin’s strong!” Ochaco assured him. “That’s not going to happen!”

“Yeah, Iida!” Mina balled her fists. “Midoriya will make it!”

“Have you asked Bakugo if he’s seen him?”
Kirishima questioned.

“Bakugo was at the hospital with me. They told him nothing either. I called him the other day but he sent me to voicemail.” Tenya groaned.

Mina and Eijiro looked at each other in concern.

“Maybe I can try calling him.” Ochaco suggested.
She pulled out her phone and froze in shock.

"What's wrong?" Mina questioned.

"T-turn on the news!" Ochaco yelled. Eijiro obeyed and changed the channel and they all gasped at seeing Izuku on their screen.

"Hero Deku has finally been located after all this time!"
The news anchor announced.

"TURN IT UP!" Tenya demanded. Eijiro raised the volume as high as it could go as everyone hung on to the reporters every word.

"As far as his whereabouts the past three weeks, the villain attack in question, and his condition, the pro hero is-"
"speaking exclusively to us through a video chat from his mother's home in Aldera."

Ochaco gasped and Tenya cried as the video popped up on the screen of Izuku alive and well.

"Hello? Is this working?" Izuku tapped on the screen.

"Yes, Deku-san! We can see and hear you!"
The anchor assured him.

"Oh, that's good." Izuku smiled his signature warm smile and Ochaco cried in relief.

"I'm so glad!" Mina cheered as she rubbed Iida's back.

"He really had us worried there!" Eijiro noted.

"Deku-san, you have given the public quite a scare."
The reporter stated. "We understand you have a harrowing tale to tell about what's been happening for not weeks, but years!"

"Yeah..." Izuku looked down at his hands before looking off camera at something-or someone and taking a deep breath.
"First of all, I'm sorry for worrying all of you. I maybe should have said something when I recovered from what happened a week ago. But, for reasons I'm about to explain, I needed to time to myself... recovering from drop isn't easy. Especially with all eyes on me."
"He fell into drop?!" Ochaco gasped.

"How bad was this villain?!" Eijiro questioned.

"Second of all, I wasn't attacked by a villain."

"Huh?"

The room was quiet as they all took in what he said.

"This is..." Tears welled up in Izuku's eyes. "Not easy to admit."
"As the number one hero, you all look up to me but I'm speaking now because it can happen to anyone. No matter how strong you are... no matter how much power you have..." He took a deep breath. "As you all know I was engaged to someone I loved. And that person abused me."
"Three weeks ago, I tried to leave Ingenium. And he attacked me, almost killed me, and set our house on fire so he could blame it on a villain. But look at the police records that day. There was no villain. Just me, Ingenium and ANOTHER trip to the hospital he sent me to.
"I might be the number one hero... I might be strong... I could have fought back at any moment, I could have left at any moment. But I loved him." Izuku sobbed. "And I thought he loved me! But I finally understood that's not love! No one deserves what he did to me."
"I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I wouldn't wish it on him either!"

Tenya shut off the TV and turned to his friends who were looking at him in horror.

"I- I don't know what he's talking about!" The alpha cried. "It's not true! I would never hurt Izuku! I love him!"
"YOU BASTARD!" Eijiro socked him across the face with his quirk activated on his fist.

"KIRISHIMA-KUN! STOP!" Ochaco pleaded.

"YOU HEARD MIDORIYA! HE WOULDN'T LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS!"

"Kirishima, I swear to you! The villain must have brainwashed him! Or the hospital!"
Tenya wiped the blood from his nose and sobbed. "I didn't do this! I would never do this!"

"Midoriya can't get brainwashed!" Mina shook in place. "Shinso said so! Because of One for All!"

"I DON'T KNOW WHY HE IS SAYING THIS! IT'S NOT TRUE!" Tenya screamed.
"MIDORIYA'S NOT A LIAR!" Eijiro swung his fist back before Ochaco got between them.

"Wait! Please wait!" She cried. "It's true Deku-kun wouldn't lie about something like this but do you really leave Iida-kun would DO something like this?! There's something more going on!"
"There has to be!"

"Thank you Uraraka-kun..." Tenya's voice cracked as he cried. "I swear to you all there's something going on with him out of my control..."

"Yeah, you like control alright!" Eijiro snapped.

"Ei, maybe we should hear him out.." Mina gulped.
"No! You girls don't understand cause you're not one of Midoriya's alpha friends! The ones he completely cut off after getting engaged! God, I was so stupid not to see it! You must have made him!" Ei stressted.

"Do you really believe anyone can make Deku-kun do anything?!"
"Following that logic, no one can make him lie on national television either!" Mina pulled her curls in frustration. "I don't know what to believe!"

"You saw the pain in Midoriya's tears, babe!" Ei stressed. "We have to believe him!"

"What about the pain in Iida's tears?!"
Ochaco defended. "I don't want to believe that either of them can do something so horrible to the other! There's more to this story! There has to be!"

"I- I have to go to him!" Tenya stood up. "I must!"

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" Eijiro went full unbreakable.
"TRY AND STOP ME!" Tenya used his turbo speed and bolted out the window faster than Eijiro could keep up with.

He ran as fast as he could to Izuku's mother's apartment complex which was surrounded by police officers.

"Officers, please let me through!"
Tenya insisted.

"Ah Ingenium, they were right." Detective Tsukauchi sighed in relief. "Now I don't have to launch a manhunt."

"What do you mean?" Tenya tensed up.

"You're under arrest for battery and domestic abuse."
"What?! B-but it's not true! None of this is true! I love him! I LOVE HIM! IZUKU! IZUKU PLEASE COME CLEAR THIS UP! GET OUT HERE! PLEASE!" Tenya shouted as loud as he could as police handcuffed him with quirk nullifying cuffs. "IZUKU! I LOVE YOU!"
Katsuki was THIS close to snapping and murdering Tenya where he stood as he heard him dare to shout at Izuku. It was clear Shoto was too. The reporters and police be damned. But the two alphas did their best to keep their cool as Izuku sat huddled in his nest between them,
wearing noise cancelling headphones as he watched All Might cartoons on his phone.

Shoto glanced at Katsuki in disgust and Katsuki gave him a knowing glance back. But they both remained where they were as Izuku giggled contently at a gag scene.
"IZUKU!!!!!!" They heard Tenya shout once more before the sounds of police sirens drove him away. They heard reporters shout and shuffle before the noise finally died down.

"Hey. Nerd." Katsuki pulled one of his headphones out. "You hungry?"
Izuku looked anxiously at Katsuki before removing his other headphone. He let the quiet wash over him and give him peace before nodding.

"Just a little." Izuku smiled in relief.

"Soba's not that filling." Shoto suggested.

"I'll have my mom make some!" Izuku giggled.
He crawled off the bed and gratefully waved off the two alphas before heading the the kitchen. He wasn’t stupid. He knew Tenya likely stopped by and made a scene. Kacchan and Todoroki had the worst poker faces. But he was grateful for their protection.
He felt a little silly because he truly didn’t need it. But he couldn’t handle Tenya’s voice. He couldn’t handle seeing him. Even though he found the strength to press charges and let the world know what was going on… he was still scared of him.
His omega still wanted to submit to him. He still wanted to please him. Even though Tenya did so many awful things to him, he had a way of getting in his head and making him doubt himself. What if he really was overreacting?

He pulled out his phone which he set to airplane mode
He was about to turn it off so he could see what people were saying when his mom grabbed his phone out of his hand.

“Not today, Izuku.” She held it against her chest. “You need to shut it all out, okay? Doing that interview was hard on you as it is. And you did a great job!”
She assured him before tearing up and smiling. “I’m so proud of you!”

“Thanks, Mom…” Izuku hugged her and she squeezed him tightly back. He felt small needing his mom like this. But he was so so comforted by her touch. He felt so safe and cared for. And he needed this.
That was another red flag he so obviously missed. Tenya made him feel stupid for visiting her so much. He asked if he could back their family dinners to once a week and when they got engaged, he made him cut it back to only special occasions. Izuku should have never agreed!
“Oh dear, it’s going to be okay now.” She wiped his face with her hands. He didn’t even realize he started crying again.

“I know it will…” Izuku sniffled. “Because you’re here, mom.”

“I am! I’m right here!”

Katsuki watched from the hallway and smiled.
He knew this was only the beginning. Tenya wasn’t going to be in prison long. His family will probably post his bail by the end of the day. Discrediting and imprisoning a hero was tough task. Especially for domestic crimes. The commission was likely going to try everything to-
get Izuku to settle this out of court. A trial would be the last thing they wanted. Izuku was going to have to fight tooth and nail to get his case heard and if Iida’s lawyers were worth their dollar, they were going to try everything to discredit him.
Katsuki’s job was to ground him, keep him sane, and block out everything he didn’t need to deal with. Including their annoying friends who kept blowing up his phone.

‘Bakugo!!!! ANSWER!’

‘Have you seen the news?!!!!!’

‘Did you know?!’

‘Do you believe him?!’
“You should silence this too.” Shoto grabbed his phone.

“I was gonna blow it up instead.” Katsuki huffed.

“We have a long fight ahead of us.” Shoto said sadly as he looked at his own phone.

“And it’s a fight we’re gonna win.” Katsuki declared.

“Go over the details again.” Tsukauchi rubbed his temple in the interrogation.

“Like I told you the first time. The villain that attacked my home that day wore a mask that covered his whole face! The only thing I could make out was he had spiky hair and…” Tenya gasped.
“Y-you don’t think it could have been Bakugo-kun, do you?!”

“I don’t know. I wasn’t there.” Tsukauchi stated dryly.

“He returned to Japan that week… he was over my house that night! And then this happened!”
“I’m sure Midoriya would recognize his childhood friend he’s known all his life.” Tsukauchi sighed. “But he told us there was no villain. That it was you.”

“You don’t understand, detective! Midoriya would do anything to protect Bakugo! Even if he tried to kill him!”
“Is that the story you’re going with?”

“No. That is merely the truth of the matter!”

After Tenya’s interrogation and his release upon bail, Tsukauchi called All Might.

“How did it go?!” All Might asked desperately.

“We have a huge problem….”

(Author’s Note before I continue: Detective Tsukauchi does NOT have a lie detector quirk. That’s his sister Makoto in Vigilantes and his ancestors as well per the manga but he himself does not have the quirk. Continuing now but just so y’all don’t get confused.)
Katsuki was irritated. His blood was boiling, he couldn’t believe he had to do this. Part of him regretted not killing Iida when he had the chance. But he knew it was important for Izuku to do this himself. But he was sure if Izuku knew that he was headed to the police station,
to get ahead of this before Iida made him out to be the bad guy, the omega might kill him himself and go to jail for giving his own abuser what he deserved and that was something Katsuki couldn’t allow.

“I’m sorry you had to come down here.” Tsukauchi sighed.
“But I have to do my due diligence. And willingly speaking to us will look much better for Midoriya’s case than if we were forced to bring you in ourselves.”

“Let’s just get this over with.” Katsuki leaned back in the interrogation room.

“Where were you March 19th?”
Katsuki explained everything that happened that night in detail. How he went to Izuku’s house for dinner, got a cab home, and ran back to see the house on fire. He told him all about the hospital and how Dr. Miyagi pulled him aside and told him what’s been going on with Izuku.
“Do you remember the cab number?” Tsukauchi questioned.

“I was wasted as fuck.” Katsuki explained. “Why?!”

“We need witnesses. Someone who saw you leave Midoriya’s. Someone who saw you return AFTER the fire.”

“I talked to a fire fighter guy! I know that!”
“Do you remember his badge number? Anything?”

“Do I really have to fucking remember all that?!” Katsuki sighed.

“If this is the story Ingenium is going with in court, the more you remember about that night, the better. He doesn’t need to prove you did it.. he just needs-”
“to make the jury doubt Midoriya’s side of the story. If I can take the stand and account for your whereabouts that night, then Ingenium would have no story to tell.” Tsukauchi explained.

“The firefighter guy had a purple Mohawk. Does that help?!” Katsuki said in irritation.
After a long exhausting interrogation, Katsuki slunk home and had to deal with ANOTHER interrogation from his mom.

"WHY HAVEN'T YOU KILLED THAT BASTARD YET, KATSUKI?!"

"I'M WORKING ON IT, HAG!"

"IF YOU WERE WORTHY ALPHA FOR IZUKU, YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY?!"
"SHUT UP! STAY OUT OF THIS, HAG!" Katsuki barked.

"I CAN'T!" She suddenly broke into tears, startling Katsuki. He saw his mom have all sorts of irrational emotions, but he hardly ever saw her cry.

"The hell are you crying for?" Katsuki grumbled.
"I can't kill him.. 'cause Izuku wants to take him on himself. He wants to help others by doing it this way." He sighed. "I'm not gonna take that away from him."

"You should have never left." Mitsuki sobbed. "I should have made you come back as soon as he presented!"
"You couldn't make me do anything! I should have come back myself..." Katsuki sighed. "That bastard should have never touched him!"

"I know Izuku wants to do this the right way..." Mitsuki grumbled. "But you should at least take a finger or something..."

"Heh." Katsuki scoffed.
“Maybe I will…”

Izuku almost regretted agreeing to press charges by the end of the month. His phone was practically unusable with how much it was blowing up. Going outside was difficult as all the cameras were on him for the wrong reasons. He wanted desperately-
to return to hero work but his lawyer and publicist said right now, preparing for his fight in court took precedence. If he just continued like nothing was wrong, people would doubt he just recovered from drop after a years long abusive relationship. He didn’t really get it,
but he knew he had to put his best face forward to take on Tenya. Speaking of Tenya, Izuku felt a growing sense of uneasiness the more time had passed. Ever since he got arrested, it was radio silence on his end. His publicist and lawyer said that was worrying sign.
“The publicist Ingenium hired is a wizard at image rehabilitation. The public is on your side now, but his silence and refusal to speak about it could mean he’s preparing something big… or preparing for you to slip up.”

“Slip up?” Izuku questioned.
“Anything to make the public doubt your story. Whether that’s a drunk night out, excessive violence doing hero work or it can be as simple as smiling and laughing like nothing is wrong.” His publicist explained.

“So I can’t even smile?!” Izuku grimaced.
“These people are really good at what they do. I would just stay away from the public eye for now.”

Izuku was tired after his meeting with his publicist. All he wanted was some Katsudon and a nice nap. And thankfully, when he got home, his favoring person was in the kitchen-
preparing the pork.

“Kacchan!” Izuku greeted him as he kicked his shoes off. “You’re here early.”

“As if I had anything better to do.” Katsuki shrugged.

“You have lots of better things to do.” Izuku pointed out.

“Like what?”

“Starting your agency maybe?”
Izuku suggested.

"I could do that at any time, and get number one in an instant!" Katsuki declared, making him laugh.

"It would be easy to take number one with me out of commission, huh?" Izuku challenged.

"Dumbass, it's not number one unless I have you to beat!"
Izuku grinned in excitement at Kacchan's challenge. He always made him feel strong even when he was at his weakest.

"Want to spar?" He suggested, making Katsuki freeze.

"You sure you're up for it?"

"I'm still me, Kacchan." Izuku nodded his head. "He hasn't taken that away."
Katsuki pondered what the right thing to do was. On one hand, he missed that mischievous glint in Izuku's eye when he trained with him. It was exhilarating sparring together. Afterall, they were the only ones strong enough to make it a fair fight when battling the other.
On the other hand, Iida put a target on Katsuki's back that Izuku was blissfully unaware of. Fighting with him in public, even if it was for fun would be a godawful idea. But Katsuki could see it was important to him. Nerd was going stir crazy.
"I'll see if Aizawa would let us use UA's gym." Katsuki smirked.

"Oh..." Izuku gulped.

"Is something wrong?" Katsuki could see he was shaken.

"It's stupid." Izuku tried to steady his heart. "UA has so many happy memories for me but...."

"It also has memories with him, huh?"
Izuku nodded shamefully. He realized Tenya was in his life for some of his happiest moments. How could be so kind then, so supportive, so heroic and yet so capable of destroying him inside and out? It made Izuku's head spin. He didn't get it. Before he knew it. the room span too.
"IZUKU!" Katsuki dashed forward to catch him before he could fall to the ground. He put his fingers on his pulse and felt his heart beating like crazy. Poor nerd likely passed out from another panic attack. They were fewer in number these days, but they were still prevelant.
Damnit he was so happy just a moment ago, but Katsuki was careless. With every passing day, his hatred for Iida Tenya grew more and more. What else did he ruin for Izuku? Tsukauchi's words rung in his head... he had to find a way to stop Iida from spinning that story.
Katsuki tucked Izuku in bed and scented him before continuing to make his favorite meal. When he finished and stored it in the fridge, he got a phone call from Shitty Hair. He had ignored all calls from everyone for a long time. But his mind was racing.

"What do you want?"

Eijiro deep cleaned his gym equipment in his and Mina's massive home gym, while she tried to calm him down.

"Wow I thought you baking cookies was bad." His mate teased. "You've been fussing with our home since you got off the phone with Bakugo-kun last night!"
"You don't know this..." Ei grunted as placed his dumbbells back on the bar. "But I was awful to Midoriya the last time I spoke to him."

"You were?"

"After the surprise party, I woke him up and yelled at him for missing it. He felt terrible and I made him feel worse."
Ei confessed. "It turns out, the only reason he missed it is because Iida DRUGGED him."

"He really was awful, huh?" Mina sulked.

"Imagine getting drugged, missing your closest friend's return home and then getting yelled at for it!"
"The least I could do is give him a safe space to blow off some steam!" Ei moped.

"I feel like I haven't seen him in so long." Mina sat on one of the benching chairs. "I don't even know what to say to him."

"We don't treat him any different!" Ei balled his fists.

"Hey guys, welcome!" Eijiro greeted Izuku and Katsuki cheerily at the front entrance.

"Yo." Katsuki grumbled as Izuku shyly waved.

"MIDORIYA!" Eijiro burst into tears and grabbed his hands desperately. "I'M SO SORRY FOR OUR LAST CONVERSATION!"
"I WAS A TOTAL JERK WHO SHOULD HAVE REALIZED YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE MISSED THAT PARTY! I TAKE BACK EVERYTHING I SAID!"

"So much for not treating him differently." Mina sighed.

"I-it's okay Kirishima-kun... Really." Izuku blushed.
“I was a terrible friend to you and Todoroki-kun and the others this past year. You had every right to blow up at me… you didn’t know.. and I appreciate that you care about Kacchan so much.” Izuku hung his head low.

“I was the terrible friend. I should have asked questions!”
“We all can go back and forth with the blame game for hours! But the one deserves the most of it isn’t here!” Katsuki made an explosion in his fist. “You can make it up to Deku by being our volleyball!”

“YOU GOT IT!” Eijiro curled into a ball and went full unbreakable

Izuku was thrilled to be training with Kacchan and Kirishima and Ashido. He hadn’t spent time with his friends in so long. And he hadn’t got to spar against Kacchan in forever! He missed the thrill. He missed the excitement. He missed being a hero.
“Come at me with all you’ve got!” Katsuki goaded him.

“Only if you can handle it!” Izuku used Gear Shift on Eijiro and launched him straight Kacchan faster than a bullet but Kacchan got even more quick since his time in the US and before Izuku could even blink,
he was behind him, tackling him to the ground.

“Give up, Deku!” Katsuki demanded.

“Never!” Izuku used Blackwhip and switched their positions until he was gleefully sitting on top of him with his wrists pinned to the ground. They say there breathing heavily for a moment.
“You’re turn to give up, Kacchan.” Izuku smirked.

“As if I’d ever lose to you!”

“Can they not flirt so loud?” Mina giggled to her mate.

“Shhhh. Let them have this.” Eijiro encouraged.

“You totally wanted this since Bakugo left.” Mina whispered.

“How can you not?”
“They’re perfect for each other.” Ei smiled. “Look how happy Midoriya is. I haven’t seen him smile like that since graduation.”

“You’re right.” Mina smiled softly. “They are perfect together.” Suddenly, she got a buzzing on her phone and Eijiro did too.

“Oh my god!” She gasped.
“No way!” Eijiro almost broke his phone as he shook in anger.

“Is something wrong?” Izuku questioned as him and Katsuki wrapped up their training and walked their direction.

Mina looked at Eijiro and looked at her phone.
Iida had sent a message to everyone in class A except for Izuku and Katsuki.

It was a long message. Approximately 7 paragraphs.

‘I am so sorry for my silence for the past month. I’m sure you are all shocked by my fiancés allegations but I want you all to know the truth.’
TBC 💬
“S-sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you, Midoriya. But Ei and I have been playing online poker and we just lost a lot of money!” Mina smacked her forehead over and over.

“Babe,” Eijiro tensed up as she grabbed his wrist.

“We gotta figure out how to deal with this! Be back!”
Eijiro looked back at Katsuki and Izuku apologetically as his mate dragged him upstairs to their living area.

“What’s the problem?! We have to tell them!” He fumed when they were alone.

“And we will! But not now!” Mina sighed. “Midoriya was so happy… I don’t wanna ruin that!”
“It will get back to him eventually! He’s gotta know what he’s up against! And if our friends approach him and ask him about what Iida’s saying?! He’s gonna be totally blindsided!” Ei argued. “It’s better he knows now before Iida says this to the news or worse!”
“I wasn’t sure.” Mina teared up. “I still wasn’t sure what to believe. Seeing how shocked Iida was that day, part of me thought he really didn’t do it. But what he’s telling everyone happened? Now I KNOW he’s lying. And…” She cried. “How could he be so awful?!”
“No one else is buying what he’s selling, right?” Ei grumbled as their phones blew up.

The both scrolled the group chat and felt sick at the response. There were a lot of people who left the chat and privately messaged them to vent about what he just said such as Denki,
Sero, and Mineta. There were those who were more direct such as YaoMomo who told their former class President she had never been so disgusted with someone she was once close with.

‘You should be ashamed of yourself, Iida.’ Jiro agreed with her before also leaving the chat.
But what shocked Ei were the ones who stood by his side.

‘We’ll get your fiancé back for you, man.’

‘We’ll have to reason with Midoriya-Chan again. Just like when he ran away.’

‘Everything that lies in the darkness will come to light’

To Eijiro’s shock, Koda just responded with a paragraph of expletives directed at Iida.
“It’s a mixed bag, huh?” Mina sighed.

Their doom scrolling was interrupted by a text from Katsuki.

‘We left to get ice cream since you losers were busy gambling. Thanks for letting us use the gym… Deku was happy.’

“Shit! We have to tell them!” Eijiro rushed downstairs.
But it was too late, Katsuki and Izuku were already gone.

“Mmmm! Delicious!” Izuku cried as he bit into his favorite ice cream at the shop they used to frequent when they were kids.

“You act like you’re the one who left damn country.” Katsuki laughed.
“I haven’t been here since Middle School!” Izuku blushed.

“You still came here, then?”

“You didn’t? You used to love this place.” Izuku chuckled. “I remember your mom storming in here and pulling us out by the ear the day you convinced us to skip school!”
“I woulda gotten away with it if it wasn’t for nosey granny over there.” Katsuki pointed at the shop keeper who waved joyfully at the two of them.

“I can’t believe she still remembers us.”

“How can she not? We saved all of Japan.” Katsuki pointed at the news clippings of them-
all over the walls.

Izuku smiled fondly at how far he and Kacchan had come from the days when they were little brats begging for samples of every flavor.

“I’m glad Tenya never wanted me to come home often.” Izuku mumbled. “He didn’t ruin this…”
“Then come on.” Katsuki grabbed his hand. “Let’s go do other things he didn’t ruin.”

Katsuki could tell Izuku was coming out of his shell again, loosening up, being more himself. It was a good thing they both moved back in with their moms.
They both got to act like neighborhood kids again, tearing up the town like it was theirs.

“You still scared to go down the ramp?” Katsuki teased at the skatepark.

“It was MUCH bigger when I was 7, Kacchan!”
Katsuki asked a kid if he could borrow their skateboard and they freaked out.

“AH! Lend my skateboard?! T-T-T-to Deku and Dynamight?!” The child’s eyes sparkled.

“We’ll autograph it for ya!” Katsuki smirked. “We just need it for a few minutes.”

“ABSOLUTELY! YES!” The kid bowed
“Kacchan, I think you’re a little too big to ride that skateboard.” Izuku giggled.

“But YOU’RE not!” Katsuki grabbed him and plopped him on it. “You’re goin’ down the ramp today, nerd!”

“H-hold on! I don’t know how to skateboard!”

“It can’t be too hard!”
Katsuki shrugged as Izuku tried to balance on the board.

“I see if I use Blackwhip, I can steady the board and..”

“Nuh-uh! No quirks!” Katsuki poked him.

“Not fair! If it was you, you would make the board a high powered rocket!”
That gave them both an idea…

“WOW!” The kids in the park cheered and clapped as Izuku tied Blackwhip around Katsuki’s waist, launched him down the ramp and Katsuki used his explosions in the air to keep the board going higher and higher.
Then Izuku met him in the air with float, wrapped his arms around him and used gearshift to send them flying to the beach.

“THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!” Katsuki cheered as emerged from their landing in the ocean.

“Ah! Where did the skateboard go?! We have to return it!”
Izuku looked around the ocean frantically.

“It may have burned up in the atmosphere.” Katsuki grumbled.

“Oh no! That poor kid!” Izuku gasped. “We’ll have to find him and-” but before he could say anything, Katsuki splashed him in the face with water.

“Quit yer worrying!”
“Those kids were having the time of their lives!”

“We should still buy him a new one.” Izuku splashed Katsuki back,

“Some experiences are fucking priceless!” Katsuki splashed him again and the two splashed and dunked each other in the water before laughing as the sun set.
“I had a lot of fun, today.” Izuku smiled.

“I could tell.” Katsuki ruffled his hair before stumbling back as the omega threw his arms around his waist. “AH! You tryin’ to tackle me again?!”

“No! Just hug me, asshole!” Izuku blushed.
Katsuki froze before wrapping his arms around him and feeling his deep contented purrs.

“What’s up?” The alpha cleared his throat.

“My body’s doing something weird…” Izuku mumbled against his chest.

“Have you really not purred before?”

“I-is that what it is?!”
“You’re telling me in the two years since you’ve presented, you haven’t been happy enough to do this?” Katsuki tilted his flushed face up.

“I um… I guess not.” Izuku looked into his eyes. “Maybe it’s cause I haven’t had you around.”

“Well I’m here now. So get used to it.”
Izuku couldn’t help himself as he closed the gap between their lips, kissing the alpha deeply. He felt so stupid for fearing anything with Kacchan. He knew who he was inside and out. He would never hurt him. He wasn’t anything like Tenya.
“I.. I’m sorry!” Izuku tried to swim away but Katsuki held him in place.

“Don’t apologize. I told you, I love you effortlessly.”

Izuku smiled as tears poured down his face. “I love you too. So much.”

They kissed under sunset, blissfully unaware at all the cameras on the shore.

Katsuki felt like a little kid as he snuck Izuku in his window. They were giggling and shushing each other like teenagers as they kissed and stumbled into his bed. Fuck, Izuku smelled amazing. His scent was ten times stronger, almost like..

“Fuck, are you in heat?”
“Hmm?” Izuku asked feverishly as he clawed at the alphas chest and pulled him on top of him.

“Izuku…” Katsuki whined. “I need to get you home..”

“No… want you… now…”

“The hag is going to notice any second, your scent is so strong.” Katsuki whispered.
“Then kick her out. You’re mine.” Izuku wrapped his legs around him.

“You’re not in your right mind.” Katsuki pointed out. “I wanna do this with you when YOU want it.”

“I DO want it.” Izuku growled. “Now stop talking.”

Shit. He was hot like this.
Katsuki kissed him deeply before hoisting him off the bed and dragging him back toward the window.

“What are you doing?”

“Taking you home…” Katsuki groaned.

“But I need you… I’ve never felt this way about anyone…please, I…” Izuku begged.

Katsuki had taken the classes.
He knew omegas in heat would do or say anything to get an alpha to fill their need. It was up to him to do the right thing. But damnit, it was so hard to say no to Izuku when he pulled the waterworks.

“Finally feel safe…finally feel loved…need you…need Kacchan now..”
“You are safe. And I’m fucking crazy about you. That’s why I’m taking you home.”

“Not fair…” Izuku huffed.

“It’s okay, Izuku.” Katsuki kissed him gently. “I’ll take care of you. I’m not going anywhere. I just can’t fuck you, alright? I would be a total ass if I did.”
“You’ve always been an ass, why stop now?” Izuku grumbled.

“Hey!”

After tucking Izuku in his nest and fleeing the room before he lost his sanity, Inko sighed in relief.

“Thank you for not taking advantage of my son.”
“I would never, Auntie.” Katsuki blushed furiously.

“It’s hard to trust anyone with him these days. But it’s so nice that I can trust you.” She smiled. “I feel relieved so… please don’t prove me wrong.” She cried. “I can’t have anyone hurt him ever again. I can’t bare it.”
“All this time, I thought he was a Beta. If I had known he would present as an omega, I would have educated him growing up. Taught him what to look out for. Let him know what’s normal and what’s not!” She said in frustration. “I would have never let that monster get in his ear!”
“None of us expected this…” Katsuki put his hand on her shoulder. “But I love your son. I can regret not being here all I want but all I can do is make it up to him now. I’ll never hurt him, Auntie. I’ll never let him down again.”

“Thank you.” She cried.
Suddenly, Katsuki’s phone rang. He was surprised to see it was Izuku’s publicist.

“Hello?!” He asked in confusion.

“DynaMight-San! Is Deku-San with you?!”

“He’s not feeling well, why?” Katsuki questioned.

“You both are all over the news!”
TBC 💋
Part of Katsuki was glad Izuku was in heat and unable to deal with this nonsense but the other part of him was drowning in having to deal with it all himself. That fucking glasses asshole told the story he told the police to all their friends and now over half of them considered-
HIM the devil. With the pictures out of him and Izuku kissing in the ocean, it confirmed pieces of the tall tale Iida told. That Katsuki had always wanted Izuku. That he was jealous when he went over that night and beat the shit out of the omega,
and convinced the hospital that he belonged to him. He told them all Izuku was doing all of this to protect Katsuki from the consequences of his actions. And that he must be giving him what he wanted to stop Katsuki from killing Iida in a jealous rage.
Eijiro had screenshotted and sent him the message and damnit this bastard had nothing but audacity.

‘Izuku is in danger as we speak. I love him. I just want him back. I forgive him for damaging my reputation. Think about it!’
‘This all started when Bakugo returned from overseas. Before then? Izuku never had a problem with me! You all know I treated him like the treasure he is!’

What a manipulative low life. After the pictures came out, Katsuki got a barrage of unwanted visitors.
“Bakugo-kun! You have to let us see him!” Ochaco screamed as Katsuki prevented her from going inside Auntie Inko’s apartment.

“HE CAN’T HAVE VISITORS RIGHT NOW!” Katsuki knew how that made him sound, but damnit, Izuku was in heat! He deserved to have that much privacy.
“How could you do this to him?! Deku-kun was happy without you! He was going to get married! He’s STILL engaged!” Ochaco raged.

“He wasn’t happy! He was fucking tortured by that bastard! And he’s not engaged anymore! Not after what he did to him!” Katsuki slammed the door.
“LET ME TALK TO HIM!” She cried.

Katsuki was irritated. She had been coming by every day that week. Sometimes with Tsuyu or Sato. Their more level headed friends who were unsure what the truth also stopped by in concern,
and Katsuki didn’t help himself by shutting the door on them as well. But he was being honest when he said Izuku was in no condition to see anyone right now!

Speaking of, the little bell Katsuki gave him chimed and he put a mask on and went in his room.
“Yo.” Katsuki waved as he closed the door behind him.

“Why was Kacchan yelling?” Izuku grumbled.

“Jehovas Witnesses.” Katsuki lied.

“Mom is friends with them…” Izuku grumbled. “Makes them tea…”

“Well your mom’s out right now getting you those snacks you crave so much.”
Izuku sat up and patted for Katsuki to join him in his nest.

“Just to hold you.” Katsuki said cautiously.

“I know…” Izuku blushed. “But I had a bad dream…”

“Alright..” Katsuki sat next to him and let the omega crawl in his lap and inhale his scent.
The first few days of Izuku’s heat were bad. That sick freak Iida had conditioned him to think if an alpha didn’t take full advantage of him in that state that they didn’t want him. So Izuku actually thought Katsuki rejected him and was in physical pain because of it.
He was inconsolable that first night and when he was finally able to communicate, Katsuki had to spend a lot of time reassuring he wanted him more than anything. But also he loved him more than anything. It took another day for Izuku to actually believe him.
That day, he was calmer and seemed happy with just physical touch and reassurances. Which meant his heat was probably ending in the next day or two and then he would have to deal with all that bullshit on the outside. What made Katsuki especially uneasy was the silence.
The media wasn’t too critical of the kissing pictures. Most people were happy Izuku found love after the harrowing ordeal with Ingenium. Some people wondered why he even bothered with him in the first place. There were those who were upset he moved on so fast,
mostly Ingeniums die hard fans. But they were drowned out by Ingeniums haters who were still enraged that he dared to abuse the omega. Izuku’s publicist released a statement that Katsuki had saved him from Ingenium and they quickly fell in love.
Overall, the PUBLIC was happy for them. Katsuki’s good friends were too. Eijiro, Mina, Kaminari, and Sero. And Shoto was more than thrilled that they were together. Momo and Jiro were excited too.

‘You should come over for dinner in celebration!’ Momo had suggested.
But Izuku’s lawyers and publicist were bracing for the worst.

“I’m surprised he hasn’t released his statement telling this story to the press.” His lawyer had stated. “He might be saving it for court.”

“We have to get ahead of it somehow!” His publicist insisted.
They were working on an action plan but Katsuki couldn’t help but wonder why Iida gave them the chance. What was his end goal here?

“Are you okay?” Izuku mumbled.

“Why wouldn’t I be okay?” Katsuki chuckled.

“Scent… it’s different.”
“Maybe cause I’m trying not to eat you.” Katsuki pulled down his mask and chomped on his cheek.

“Y-you can if you want!” Izuku fussed.

“Damnit!” Katsuki plopped him on the bed and kissed him ferociously. “Stop being so damn cute.”
“Mmm…” Izuku pulled him on top him. “Stay…”

“I can’t or I’m gonna go insane in here, Izuku.” Katsuki huffed as he inhaled his deeply intoxicating scent. Mistake. It was still just as strong as the first day.

“I don’t mind…”

“I know you don’t Damnit but I do!”
Katsuki caressed his leg. “Cause you might mind when your head clears up. And just a small chance of you freaking out is enough for me to not go there. Alright?”

Izuku stared at him and nodded. He seemed to actually take in what he had said repeatedly this past week.
“You’re amazing…” Izuku caressed his face. “I like you.”

“I like you, dork.” Katsuki head butted him. “So I’ll be outside!”

“No fair…”

“Deku-kun! Open up! Please! Open up!” Ochaco banged on the door.

Izuku opened the door and greeted her nervously.
When Kacchan and his mom briefed him on everything, he was horrified. How could Tenya be so low as to blame Kacchan for his actions?

“Uraraka. It’s nice to see you again.” He smiled at her.

“I…” She choked up, not expecting him to answer. “I’ve been so worried.”
“Let’s catch up.” Izuku exited his home and locked the door behind him. He floated and offered his hand to her. “That coffee shop we like is open.”

A sudden realization dawned on her. They hadn’t been to that shop since Iida stopped by almost a year ago.
She placed her hand on her stomach and floated herself before grabbing his hand. The two hadn’t flown together in awhil. She knew once her two closest friends got together, they would hang around her less. But she didn’t realize just how long it had been.
When they got to their favorite table, Izuku looked down at his coffee and sighed.

“Do you remember the last time we sat here?” He asked her.

“Yes.” Ochaco said nervously. “You were worried Iida didn’t love you and I-”

“No. I was worried I was doing something wrong.”
Izuku stared firmly. “What I tried to say before he interrupted our conversation was he was hurting me. He was hurting me and I thought it was my fault.”

“You didn’t say that… that’s not how I remember it.” She teared up. “You two were happy. You were happy! I don’t know what-”
“Bakugo-kun’s done to you but he doesn’t have to-”

“Kacchan hasn’t done anything!” Izuku snapped, startling her. He groaned to himself. Kacchan warned him the more defensive he got, the worse it would look, but it was hard! He hated anyone thinking he was capable of this!
“Sorry.. I know Tenya’s your friend too. And it’s easy to believe him. I believed in him too. I never thought he would hurt me the way he did. But that day, he got angry at me for trying to tell you what was going on! I tried to tell you, Uraraka! But he bugged my phone!”
“He told me you might say that.” Uraraka mumbled. “Is it code? Is that what’s happening? Is Bakugo-kun listening?!”

“What? No!” Izuku gasped.

“Iida still loves you Deku-kun! He understands that you’re scared.” She cried. “But we’re here for you! You can escape!”

“Stop it!”
Izuku grabbed her hands. “Look at me! Listen to me! Iida’s the one who hurt me. Not Kacchan!”

“I just don’t see how that can be true! Iida-kun’s strong but he’s nowhere near as strong as you! The only one who is strong enough to take you on is Bakugo-kun! Everyone knows this!”
“I let it happen! I didn’t fight back! That’s on me!” Izuku insisted. “I’m not proud of it, but I loved him and I thought he loved me! I wish I could make it make sense to you but it doesn’t even make sense to me!!!”

She looked at him for a long moment and sighed.
“You’ve been hurt.” She looked at him sadly. “Regardless who did it, I know that part is true. Deku-kun… I have to trust my gut. And my gut says you still need saving. You’ll do anything for Bakugo-kun, but please remember… everyone who loves you is still her for you.”
Izuku left that conversation feeling frustrated beyond belief. No matter what he said, he couldn’t convince her that he was safe now. She said all the right things. Everything he needed to hear over a month ago! Her words were moving! Convincing! If she had said them when he was-
with Tenya, he would have taken her helping hand. But Tenya had manipulated her too! It wasn’t fair! He was playing dirty blaming everything on Kacchan. Because no one had seen the way Tenya treated Izuku behind closed doors. But their friends HAD seen the way Kacchan treated him
their first year at UA. Even though it was years ago! Even though he clearly changed, there were those who never forgot their first impression of him and their relationship. And Kacchan wasn’t a sweetheart. He never was. He was brash, and rough and loud but they didn’t know-
how soft and loving and amazing he could be when no one was watching. That was the difference between Kacchan and Tenya. And Tenya was using that against him. Izuku’s stomach twisted. If he took these accusations public, or brought them to court, what would everyone believe?
Izuku opened the front door of his mom’s apartment and slammed it, startling Katsuki who was still sleeping on the couch.

“I..zuku?” He asked drowsily.

“Sorry for waking you.” Izuku kicked off his shoes and stomped to the kitchen to grab a snack.

“What’s wrong?”
Katsuki slunk off the couch and found the omega furiously scarfing down an energy bar.

“Nothing…” Izuku pouted as frustrated tears poured down his face.

“Alright then.” Katsuki lazily made his way behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist before resting on his head.
“I can pretend to believe you. And you can eat that granola bar and cry. OR I can tie you down and force feed you a carrot like the bunny rabbit you are.”

“How is that supposed to get me to tell you what’s wrong?” Izuku scoffed.

“Gotcha. You admitted there’s something wrong.”
“You’re a child.” Izuku sniffled.

“And you’re distressed.” Katsuki kissed his scent gland slowly. “I can smell it. So tell me.”

“You’re playing dirty.” Izuku blushed.

“Tell me.” Katsuki went from kissing his neck to his cheek to his lips.
Izuku savored the kiss and relaxed, melting into his….boyfriend’s? They never really defined what they were. Just madly in love. His Kacchan’s arms.

“She didn’t believe me.” He whispered as more tears poured down his face. “He’s taking everything away from me.”
“Not everything.” Katsuki wiped the tears with his thumbs. “Our favorite assholes are throwing us a party tonight, ya know. Everyone there believes you.”

“I’m just afraid he’s going to take you too. His story… it’s convincing. Maybe it won’t hold up in court… but it’s enough.”
“Enough for what?” Katsuki questioned.

“To damage your career. To ruin civilians trust. I thought this would be a fight between me and him! But he wants to drag you into it!” Izuku cried. “He knows this would hurt me the most! Why can’t he just leave me alone?!”
“Because you’re showing him he can’t control you! We’ll find something, Izuku. Irrefutable proof that his story is bullshit! I can handle myself! Hell, if I wanted to I could go kill him now! Just say the word and we can fuck the whole trial!” Katsuki assured him.
Izuku looked into Katsuki’s eyes and kissed him passionately once more.

“It’s infuriating how you make all my problems seem so small.” He sniffled.

“Welcome to life with me, Izuku.” Katsuki kissed his forehead. “I’ll blow up all your problems.”

“Then I’ll keep fighting…”
“So I can pay it forward and help even just one person out of this situation that you saved me from.”

“That’s the Deku I know.” Katsuki whispered as he held him close and Izuku felt his strength restore once more. Tenya couldn’t intimidate him any longer.

“Come on! You can do it Midoriya!” Kaminari cheered as Izuku threw the green shell in Mario Kart, barely missing Kacchan’s car.

“HAH! GONNA TAKE A LOT MORE THAN THAT TO BEAT ME!” Katsuki bragged.

“Even to your boyfriend you’re like this?!” Jiro gawked.
“I can handle it!” Izuku almost passed him but then Katsuki hit him with a green shell and knocked him off of rainbow road. “NO!”

“BOOOO!” Everyone jeered at Katsuki.

“Fuck off! I won that fair and square!” Katsuki barked.

“You did. You did.” Izuku laughed.
“Would everyone like a tea break?” Momo walked in to her and Shoto’s living room carrying a tray.

“I haven’t had your tea in so long!” Izuku smiled.

“Neither have I. The States don’t know shit about tea.” Katsuki nodded.

“I’m so glad you guys can have some again!”
She served them first before everyone else.

Izuku felt content as everyone chatted and acted as lively as he remembered them. He missed this. Feeling like his friends were friends with HIM. Like they cared for him as a person and not a package with Tenya.
“Midoriya, your dashing smile! I haven’t seen it in so long!” Aoyama praised.

“Has it really been that long?” Izuku blushed.

“We all should have noticed much sooner.” Mina sat next to him and grabbed his hand.

“I’LL KICK IIDA’S ASS!” Mineta cried as he hugged him.
“If anyone’s gonna take a swing at him, it will be me!” Katsuki roared.

“No.” Shoto said calmly. “I’ll tear him limb from limb.”

“Y-you guys. This isn’t a murder planning party.” Izuku chuckled nervously. “I’m doing this the right way.”

“When is your court date?” Ei asked him.
“Next week.” Izuku informed him. “That’s when the trial begins. I’m nervous. But my lawyers are prepared to make his idea that it was Kacchan seem impossible. They said there’s only one person they can place in that house T that time and that’s Tenya.”
“Good.” Momo sighed in relief. “I hope it ends quickly. And you can finally put this all behind you and move forward.”

“I’m already moving forward.” Izuku smiled as he grabbed Katsuki’s hand. “I’m doing this so other people in my shoes can too.”
“For the first time in a long time, I’m hopeful. And it’s thanks to Kacchan and Todoroki-kun! And everyone of you who is by my side now. Thank you! I feel much stronger because of you.”

“We love you!” Everyone gave him a group hug.

“Alright alright, give him back to me now!”
Katsuki pulled him out of Shitty Hair’s grasp and kissed him.

“Stop showing off!” Sero scolded. “Some of us are single!”

“But only some.” Denki grinned and kissed Jiro and Eijiro pulled Mina on his lap and kissed her before Shoto and Momo shrugged and kissed each other.
“WE NEED TO FORM A MUTINY!” Mineta shreiked.

“Viva Revolution!” Aoyama agreed.

“You all are so mean!”

“Sorry!” Izuku giggled as Katsuki kissed his cheek again and again.

Suddenly his phone rang, and he stepped away. “Sorry! I have to take this!”
Izuku went outside for some quiet and stared at his phone buzzing with Uraraka’s name and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Deku-kun?” She cried.

“Uraraka? What’s wrong?” He asked frantically.

“I need your help. Can you please come over. It’s urgent. And don’t tell anyone.”
Izuku looked in the window at his friends laughing and having a good time. “I’ll be right there!”

He hung up the phone and went inside before pulling Kacchan aside. “I’ll be back, okay?”

“Where are you going?” Katsuki raised his brow.

“Uraraka needs me.”
“I don’t know what for.” He sighed. “But she sounded upset.”

“I’ll go with you.” Katsuki insisted.

“That will just convince her Tenya’s right.” Izuku grumbled.

“Well I don’t want you going alone! We can’t trust her!” Katsuki growled.

“I’ll come with you!” Mina volunteered.
“Ashido-San.” Izuku whipped his head toward her in surprise.

“Sorry for overhearing. But when you came inside, you seemed upset. And I’m not going to ignore your pain anymore Midoriya!” Mina declared, making him smile gratefully.

“Thank you. Let’s go together.”
Izuku and Ashido knocked on Ochaco’s door who made a face when she greeted them.

“I know you said not to tell anyone but obvious reasons I’m a little cautious.” Izuku explained.

“Of course you are.” Ochaco sighed.

“I’m not a spy or anything!” Mina fumed.
“I’m just here to make sure my friend is okay!”

“Well then come in. Because that’s what we’re all here for.” Ochaco stepped aside.

“All?” Izuku blinked. The two walked in to see Tsuyu, Sato, Hagakure and Ojiro sitting around eating cake.
“Midoriya-Chan.” Tsuyu ran and grabbed his hands. “We want you all to know we care about you so much.”

“None of us want you in pain!” Toru asserted.

“We’ll always be here to defend you just like you defended us!” Ojiro nodded.

“So it’s okay.” Ochaco closed the door behind her.
“We should leave.” Mina grabbed Izuku’s arm as Ochaco locked the door.

“You’re safe with us. Please don’t run back to Bakugo, ribbit.” Tsuyu pleaded. “He just wants to talk.”

“Who just wants to-” Izuku’s heart thundered in his chest.

“Izuku.” Tenya’s voice called.
Izuku turned toward the kitchen where Tenya walked out slowly. All the memories of that last night came flooding in like a hurricane. He felt the air leave his lungs, his blood ran cold, his legs trembled as nothing but sheer panic set in at the sight of him. He wasn’t brave.
He was terrified. All he could think of was being on the floor in pain. All he could think of was begging him to stop. Things he blocked out… horrible things that Tenya said and did to him that night resurfaced in his mind.

“Why…?” He asked Ochaco. “Why did you do this?”
“Izuku. I-”

“DON’T TAKE ANOTHER STEP CLOSER!” Mina stepped in between them. “YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! YOU ALL SHOULD B-” Suddenly, she was knocked unconscious but Hagakure.
“I’m sorry Ashido. But we want to help Midoriya too.” Toru sighed.

Help? Why did they think they were helping him? He couldn’t say anything. He felt so weak, pathetic and helpless.

“It’s okay, Deku-kun.” Ochaco grabbed his hand. But it wasn’t reassuring. “You’re okay.”
But he wasn’t! He wanted to scream. Couldn’t they all see he was clearly panicking?! Couldn’t they all smell how distressed he was?! He couldn’t even let out a whine, he was paralyzed in fear.

“Izuku. I’m sorry I didn’t save you from him when he broke in our house.” Tenya stated
“Kacchan didn’t break in our house!” Izuku seethed with boiling anger as tears poured down his face. How dare he?!

How dare he?
How dare he?
How dare he?!

“I have the footage Izuku!” Tenya pulled out a laptop. And placed it on the table in front of him.
“The security cameras may have been destroyed in the fire. But the footage was saved to my phone.”

Izuku watched the time stamp on the cameras. He watched as Katsuki threw a rock at their window, put a mask on his face and jumped in.

“Bakugo-kun did this to you.”
“Stop this!” Izuku knocked the laptop off the table with Blackwhip, breaking it.

The lawyers already have the backup!” Tenya sighed. “Not only that! They have the cab driver ready to make a statement that he asked him to turn around!”
“How far did you go, Tenya?!” Izuku cried. “Was almost killing me not enough?! Was turning my friends against me not enough?! Was abusing me over and over not enough for you?! Leave Kacchan out of this! He didn’t do anything to you!”
“I KNOW how special he is to you darling!”

“Don’t call me that!” Izuku sobbed.

“I know you would do anything to protect him! Even blame me for all of this! So I’m willing to drop it! I’m willing to let all of this go. I’m willing to let Bakugo walk free-”
“his reputation unharmed as long as you drop this! Drop this defense of him and come back to me! I just want you safe again!”

Izuku couldn’t believe this. He was threatening him to drop the charges in front of everyone and he was looking like the good guy.
“I don’t want to stand on that witness stand against you Deku-kun.” Ochaco cried, making him slowly turn to her.

“Why would you be on the witness stand?” He asked shakily.

“Our last conversation at the cafe. Remember? I said you’re used to making alphas angry. Like Bakugo-kun.”
“And you looked so scared! He scares you! I know he does!”

Izuku covered his mouth as the room span around him. He didn’t know what else was being said. All he heard was noise as the panic set in deep inside of him.

If he didn’t go back with Tenya, Kacchan would be ruined.
Sheer terror overwhelmed him. He didn’t know what happened next or how he ended up on the floor or how there was broken glass near him. He didn’t understand why the floor was suddenly ice or how a deep comfort overcame him. He was warm.
Strong arms were wrapped around him, carrying him away from wherever he was. He took a shuddered breath and that’s when he smelled Kacchan’s angry scent. He was furious. But he wasn’t furious at him. He was enveloped in his scent and then he was home.
“Stay with me. Stay with me.” Katsuki cradled him as nuzzled his scent gland. “I’m sorry. I should have just went with you. Or followed closer behind. I didn’t think that bitch would spring him on you.” He sobbed.

“Don’t…cry…” Izuku curled into his chest.
“I love you.” Katsuki kissed him. “I love you so much. You’re safe. You’re safe.” He assured him.

Izuku looked into his eyes and wondered why he was panicking so much. How distressed was he? He must have been a mess. Dropping again wouldn’t be good.
“Can’t…drop…” Izuku slurred. “Kacchan’s here…” He tried to smile. But he was tired. Really really tired.

“Stay with me…”

Izuku wanted to… but it would ruin him.
TBC 💻
The week leading up to the trial, everything felt heavy. It was difficult to move, it was difficult to breathe, it was just difficult. Izuku felt numb and the days felt long but they also flew by. It was getting close. He had to make a decision.
“TV is a lot cheaper than what you’re doing to your mom’s water bill.” Katsuki shut off the faucet in the kitchen sink. Izuku didn’t realize how long he had been staring at the water overflow from his cup.

His gaze went from the running water to the burning fire in his eyes.
Kacchan gently grabbed his hand and helped him set the cup down, then he walked with him to his nest, pulled him into his lap and said something. Izuku couldn’t comprehend what. But the hum of his vocal chords was comforting. He knew the fog in his brain needed to clear up.
If he was gonna stand trial, he needed to know what was going on around him. But the omega just kept drowning in his own thoughts. Izuku had clarity sometimes and other times, it was like the world was a silent film in slow motion.
He wished he could feel happy about things, or sad about things or anything at all. But he just felt gutted by his own weakness.

His lawyers had said it was going to be an open and shut case. Whatever footage Tenya showed him, he never handed over to his lawyers.
Probably because it wouldn’t be admissible. Izuku remembered where that footage of Kacchan putting on the mask was from. One of their school projects where he had to act as a villain. It was a heavily edited video that made it seem like it came from Tenya’s home.
He likely made it only to intimidate Izuku into coming back. The cab driver, however, was a listed witness. And he was prepared to lie on the stand and say Kacchan asked to go back. Sato and Kacchan’s old friends from middle school were also ready to testify on his behavior.
But Izuku’s lawyers were prepared to poke holes in all their stories.

“As for the middle school chums, it’s as easy as one question. Have they even hung around you since then? When they say no, I’ll have no further questions. They are irrelevant.”
As far as Uraraka…. She had stopped by again that morning.

“I’m so sorry! I’m sorry! I should have believed you! Deku-kun. Can you ever forgive-”

“GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!”

Kacchan had slammed the door in her face. He was sure if his mind wasn’t so jumbled,
he would have been grateful for her apology and chased after her. He didn’t know what it was that changed her mind all of a sudden. Maybe his panic attack was worse than he thought. The others had come by to apologize to according to his mother but she didn’t let anyone see him.
Things were looking up… but Izuku just felt empty.

“Izuku?” Kacchan had whispered in his ear.

“‘m sorry…” Izuku mumbled. “Did you say something?”

“Yeah.” Katsuki smirked at him. “I said you’re still a damn nerd.”

Izuku laughed. Kacchan probably said something meaningful,
or maybe he just vented about something or got something off his chest. But he didn’t want him to feel bad about it.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” Izuku apologized again before kissing him on the cheek.

“The doc said you would be like this. It’s fine.”
Izuku sighed and rested on Kacchan’s chest, inhaling his scent and letting it bring him back to earth.

“I wish it wasn’t like this.” Izuku mumbled. “I thought I would be stronger… I thought it would be different when I saw him again. But I was the same.”
“You were ambushed.” Katsuki stroked his arm. “Those assholes didn’t prepare you. He did awful things to you, Izuku. Cut yourself some slack.”

Izuku caressed his face and slowly kissed him. He was so grateful for Kacchan. He loved him so much. He wished things were different.
He wished he could have waited after presenting omega. When Tenya began to court him, he imagined a life where he refused him. Where maybe they could have remained friends. Then Izuku could have visited Kacchan in New York like he planned.
They could have reconnected and bonded then. Maybe even mated. Eloped and come back to Japan madly in love. All their friends would be happy and Class A would celebrate their quick marriage with them. Izuku would never have doubted himself. He never would have become a shell.
He looked at the bags under Kacchan’s pretty eyes and planted kisses on them. He was so exhausted. Has he gotten any rest since he came back? Or has he caused him no sleep yet again. From the moment he landed foot in Japan, he had been devoting all his energy into helping him.
And now he had to defend himself in court for something Izuku let happen to him. It wasn’t fair. Kacchan shouldn’t have his entire character questioned like this. He shouldn’t have their history dragged out for all the world to comment and gossip on. Kacchan didn’t deserve this.
The only way Izuku could stop it all was going back with Tenya. But that was hell. Hell on eggshells. He couldn’t even imagine holding his hand again or kissing him or letting him touch him again. Letting him control him again. Letting him hurt him for the rest of his life.
Katsuki caught his lips with his own and caressed his face with his hand. He slowly entered his mouth with his tongue and let Izuku savor the taste. Izuku loved moments like this. Where it was just him and Kacchan and nothing else mattered. He felt so loved. So treasured.
And Izuku loved and treasured him. Kacchan was beautiful. His scent and taste were all consuming. He was perfect in every way. He was rough and loud but strong and the reliable person Izuku had in his life. Always there. Always reminding him who he was. And who he could be.
Izuku hadn’t gotten to feel all of him yet. But he imagined it would be an amazing feeling. He was grateful after his heat that Kacchan made him wait. But now, he wished he got to feel it just once.

“Mm…”

“You alright?” Katsuki huffed.

“Wanna do something crazy?”
“Like what?” Katsuki smirked and Izuku wrapped his arms around him and kissed him once more.

“Wanna get a hotel?”

Katsuki froze as he realized what he wanted. “Right now?”

“Mmhmm…” Izuku ground against him. “I want all of you, Kacchan.”
Katsuki shuddered before grabbing his face and passionately making out with him. He then gripped his legs in place and picked him up, stumbling towards the door and pressed him against it.

“The doctor did s-say this might help…” Katsuki sweat.

“Are you nervous?” Izuku giggled.
“Shuddup.” Katsuki blushed before Izuku kissed him again.

“Take me…”

Katsuki didn’t know how he was able to fumble through a whole hotel selection and check in process but he did. And didn’t pick a cheap place either. If they were finally doing this, it was going to be perfect
“Did we really need a whole penthouse?!” Izuku gawked at the beautiful suite they had checked into.

“Duh! This is going to be the best moment of my life and I wanna remember it somewhere nice damnit!”

“You’re expectations of me are kind of high.” Izuku giggled.
Katsuki kissed him over and over, stumbling toward the bed before tripping and landing both of them on the couch.

They both laughed before continuing to sloppily make out on the couch.

“‘M sorry..” Katsuki grumbled.

“What are you sorry about?”

“I’m fucking lame.”
“No you’re not.” Izuku caressed his face. “You’re Kacchan which means you’re perfect.”

“You’re one to talk about high expectations.” Katsuki nibbled on his neck.

“You have nothing to be nervous about Kacchan.” Izuku assured him. “It’s just me.”
Katsuki stood up and pulled Izuku up again before finally finding the bed and plopping on it with him. He gently caressed his face before kissing every inch of it slowly, tenderly, like he was worshiping it.

“There’s no ‘just Izuku’. It’s IZUKU.”
“It’s like having the brightest star in the galaxy by your side your entire damn life. And now you finally get to fuck it.”

“Pfffft! Kacchan!” Izuku cackled as tears poured out of his eyes.

“What?!”

“That’s the sweetest and most hilarious thing you’ve ever said.”
“Shut it!” Katsuki turned bright red. “I just.. I’ve never done this, okay?!”

“Huh?” Izuku blinked. “Really?”

“Y-yeah. I’ve never..” He was flustered, more flushed and unsure of himself than Izuku had ever seen him. “I’ve never wanted to do it with anyone but you.”
Izuku realized at that moment that he was being selfish. This was special and important to Kacchan and while he would have treasured it forever, it wouldn’t be right to take this from him.

“Maybe we should wait then.” Izuku kissed him slowly. “Maybe after the trial.”
“I’m paying a lot of money for this room, Izuku. I’m ready when you are.” Katsuki fumed.

“I’ll pay you back.” Izuku held him and rested his head on his chest, listening to his heart hammer erratically. Kacchan really was excited and nervous for this. It was so sweet.
Izuku wished he could have taken care of him and given him what he wanted. What he himself suggested. But it wouldn’t be right. He had to protect not only his reputation, but his heart as well. He will thank him one day.

“It’s not that I don’t want to… in fact I want to more..”
Izuku explained. “I just want to give you all of me. When I’m whole again. When everything is right. I’m barely hanging on right now. I can’t even process rinsing out a tea cup. So… when the trial is over, let’s get this room again to celebrate.”
“Alright then.” Katsuki sighed and let himself relax. “It’s nice to have the privacy though. We don’t have to check out yet.”

“No.” Izuku smiled. “We don’t.”

They spent the day talking, laughing, dancing around the room, renting movies and eating junk food. It was nice.
“You can’t do that!” Katsuki screamed as Izuku beat him in chess.

“Yes I can! That’s a check mate!”

“No! That’s not an L shape! That’s- FUCK ITS AN L SHAPE!” Katsuki flipped the board over.

“Kacchan!” Izuku cackled. “Clean this up, sore loser!”

“I’m not a loser!”
“Sorry! Clean this up, almost winner.” Izuku teased.

“I’m going to shove this up your ass.” Katsuki grabbed the winning knight.

“I’d like to see you try.” Izuku stuck his tongue out before Katsuki chased him around the room.

“AHHH! Stop!”

“Get back here!”
Katsuki eventually got a hold of him, making him shriek before pinning his back against the wall.

The two took a moment to catch their breath before feverishly kissing. Izuku was so happy. Kacchan was so fun. A life with him would have been amazing. Perfect. Safe.
Izuku loved him so much. Having a little taste of his love was almost cruel. He wanted it forever. But that wasn’t the reality he was dealing with. He let himself be terrorized by Tenya. And he involved Kacchan in this mess.
So he had to deal with the consequences. Only him. Tenya won. He broke him down. But that didn’t mean Kacchan had to lose.

“I love you.” Izuku whispered.

“I love you more, Izuku.”

“I want you to know how much I love you.” Izuku slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
Then kissed his lips and trailed his tongue down his neck before kissing his chest all the way down to his torso and getting on his knees.

“We can save everything for after the trial. But a little taste doesn’t hurt.” He unbuttoned Katsuki’s pants, shocking him.

“Oh….fuck…”

The day before the trial, Izuku felt at peace. He sat at the beach with All Might, looking at the waves. He remembered when he cleaned this beach all himself.

“You’ve come a long way, my boy.” All Might smiled at him.
“It’s all thanks to you.” Izuku smiled back.

“Are you ready for tomorrow?” His mentor asked, making him frown.

“No. But it’s okay. I don’t have to be ready. It’s just something I have to do.” Izuku said as he watched a large wave crash on the shore.

“I’m proud of you.”
All Might wrapped him in a tight hug. “I want you to know that whatever happens tomorrow, I am so proud of the man you’ve become.”

Izuku took in his praise greedily as it was probably the last time he would hear it, before muttering under his breath. Too quiet for him to hear.
“You shouldn’t be…”

The day of the trial was a media firestorm. Katsuki and Shoto anxiously sat in the car, dressed in their hero uniforms.

“I know he had to be with his lawyers, but damnit, I wish I could ride with him.” Katsuki moped.
“We’ll wait for him right at the top of the steps.” Shoto noted. “He’ll know he’s not alone.”

When they arrived, reporters were everywhere. Katsuki felt sick to his stomach that that’s what Izuku was going to be swarmed with on such a vulnerable day for him.
Katsuki checked his phone after they got through the sea of camera to the top of the steps.

Nerd 🐰
‘Kacchan,
Thank you so much for everything. Whatever happens today, just know, I will always love you.’

“Something wrong?” Shoto questioned.
Katsuki felt his stomach twist. “Did Izuku text you?”

Shoto blinked before checking his phone. “Oh. He did. He just said he’s grateful for having me as a friend.”

They both looked at their phones and then each other.

“Something’s wrong.” They both said at once.

All Might anxiously sat in the packed courthouse waiting. The reporters, jurors, lawyers, witnesses and heroes were all here. It was 30 minutes past the the time the trial was supposed to start.

“Are you still unable to locate both your clients?!” The judge asked.
The defense and prosecuting attorney looked at each other then addressed the judge.

“No, your honor.”

“I’ll give them both ten more minutes!” She banged the gavel.

Tenya happily hopped the fence into an abandoned training facility that had a a beautiful flower field.
It was a secret spot he discovered on a mission. A place he treasured forever. His whole body relaxed when he got to the field and found Izuku waiting for him.

“Izuku.” Tenya greeted him with a smile. He had so much to say to him, but now he was grateful he finally had him back
“Thank you for meeting me here.” Izuku greeted. “Do you remember when you first brought me here?”

“Yes… our first date.” Tenya picked a red flower and gently placed it in his ear. “I told you how no flower in this field could match your beauty.”
“I still mean that.” Tenya’s voice cracked.

Izuku looked at him then looked away. “I thought it was so cool when you brought me here. The Iida-kun I knew who was always willing to breath rules if it was for the people he loved and cared about.”
“Yes… and Izuku… despite everything I’ve done… I love and care about you! I still do! I’m so sorry! I went too far! Much too far! I can’t ever make it up to you! But I can try! That’s all I can do!” Tenya cried.

“You brought me here.. and you told me no one could see us.”
Izuku continued. “No one can hear us. It could be our secret hideout from the world.”

“Y-yes. We can live here if you want! Start over!” Tenya begged.

“Tenya…” Izuku looked at him. “Are you scared of me?”

“Why would I be scared of you, my darling?”
“Right… why would you be scared of me? I’m Midoriya Izuku right? Deku, right? I love you, right? So what reason would you have to be scared of me?” Izuku laughed.

“Yes… I darling.”

“Except you made me forget who I am, Tenya.” Izuku cried. “I don’t remember Deku…”
“I thought I could bring him back. The hero who is strong and brave and kind and who always does the right thing. But seeing you this week… having all my options swept out from under me again. Being made to feel weak and scared and downright terrified. I realized he’s gone.”
“You broke him.” Green electricity surrounded him as he floated slowly above the ground.

“Darling…. What are you saying?” Tenya backed up slowly.

“Don’t call me darling.” Izuku launched Blackwhip at Tenya’s legs, knocking him on the ground.
“Ack!” Tenya had the wind knocked out of him before Blackwhip wrapped around his legs and Izuku dragged him through the field before lifting him up in the air, dangling him by one leg.

“You’re fast Tenya, right? You’re strong.”

“Izuku!” Tenya cried. “Don’t do this!”
“Why? Are you just now remembering? I’m faster. I’m stronger.” He used one tendril to rip out one of Tenya’s engines on his leg, causing him to scream in agony. Izuku grimaced at the sound. “But I guess you knew that this whole time right?”
“But you relied on the fact that I’m kinder!”

Tenya sobbed in pain and terror. “Please stop this! Stop this Izuku! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”

“Damnit…! I really don’t know how you did it.” Izuku dropped him.

“Ah!” Tenya tried to catch his breath as he held his head.
“How did you do it, Tenya?!” Izuku sobbed. “I don’t understand! Because watching you pathetically beg me to stop? Seeing you in pain?! It KILLS ME INSIDE! Fight back at least, alpha!” Izuku fired airforce at Tenya who barely sat up, knocking him back down.
“I don’t know….” Tenya sobbed. “I would just get so angry… you were so…”

“I was what?” Izuku cried as he floated over him, “What about me made this so easy for you? Tell me. All I did was love you. All I did was trust you. I don’t understand. Why was it so easy?”
“It was never easy!” Tenya cried. “I never wanted to to hurt you! I just wanted you to be safe! Be home! Be mine! I just wanted you to listen to me! Respect me! And you wouldn’t! No matter what I did, you wouldn’t behaving how I wanted and… I’m sorry! I’m a monster!”
“You’re not sorry!” Izuku wrapped Blackwhip around his neck. “You still want me to behave as you see fit. That’s why you brought Kacchan into this, right? You knew I’d do anything for him. You knew I’d die for him. But did you forget that possibility that I would kill for him?!”
He hoisted Tenya in the air, choking him.

“I’m…..sorry…” Tenya failed to breathe. “Don’t…do this….please…”

“How many times did I say that to you?” Izuku questioned before dropping him on the ground again.

Tenya inhaled desperately, gasping for as much air as he could.
“Well?” Izuku sniffled. “You still have one engine left. Run.”

Tenya stood up desperately and used recipro burst on his working leg. He grabbed the fence and was about to jump over when Izuku appeared on the other side.

“Slow.” He said before dragging him back to the field.
“Aaahhhhh!” Tenya shreiked his lungs out. “HELP ME! SOMEONE HELP ME!”

“There’s something I never did.” Izuku dropped him back in the center. “Maybe I should have. Do you think all those people who tricked me into seeing you again would have helped?”
Izuku kicked him across the field. “You’re so weak. This is so easy. I could have done this at any moment. Why didn’t you realize that? Why weren’t you scared of me?”

“IZUKU! I’M SORRY! PLEASE! LET ME LIVE! I’ll confess to everything!”
“I can’t guarantee that, Tenya.” Izuku shook his head. “Afterall you have that very convincing video you can share at any moment. I can’t very well kill the cab driver too. That would add to my death sentence and cause pain to his family.”
“Please! Please I’m begging you!” Tenya sobbed. “I’ll do anything! Whatever you want!”

“I want you dead….” Izuku said before hesitating as he looked in his eyes. His terrified eyes that were begging for help. He was so scared. He was in so much pain. “How did you do it?”
The omega asked again as he cried his eyes out. “How?! This is so hard! I have to get this over with! I have to do now! How should I do it?!” He began to ask erratically. “If you were in my shoes, how would kill me Tenya?! Should I choke you?! Should I snap your neck?!”
“Tell me what do, Tenya! You just wanted me in your control, right? So control me! How do you wanna die?!”

“I…” Tenya cried. “Just float as high as you can and drop me… please… that way I don’t feel it.”

“You’re such a coward…” Izuku sniffled. “Why was I scared of you?”
He took a deep breath and picked him by the neck with Blackwhip before floating as high as he possibly could.

“Goodbye Tenya.”

“Goodbye Izuku.. I really am sorry.”

Izuku was about to drop him when he noticed a sparkle in the corner of his eyes. “Huh?”
“IZUKU!” Katsuki launched Shoto at Iida before tackling Izuku out of the air into a building not too far from the abandoned facility.

“Kacchan…!” Izuku gasped before they ran into the window, entering a closed office.

“Shit… made it just it time.” Katsuki caught his breath.
“How did you…?” Izuku blinked.

“It wasn’t me who put a tracker in your phone…” Katsuki grumbled. “Half and Half said he’s done it to every one of your phones whenever he gets the chance. Cause you’re always runnin’ off and he only ever uses it for emergencies.”
“I forgot about that…” Izuku sighed. It’s not like he ever did it in secret. Shoto was the only person he trusted to keep tabs on him that way because he knew he wouldn’t look at it unless he absolutely had to. “Why’d you stop me?”

“I’m not gonna let you go to prison.”
Katsuki seethed. “The only one who deserved that is him!”

“You’re a hypocrite.” Izuku grumbled. “You’re always talking about how you would do it for me. So why can’t I do it for you?”

“But did I actually do it?” Katsuki crawled next to him.

“No…” Izuku sulked.
“Because guess who would have stopped me?” Katsuki poked Izuku’s head. “That monster deserves to die. But not at cost of who you are, Izuku. I’m not gonna let him destroy your heart.”

“I didn’t know what else to do!” Izuku sobbed. “I just felt so helpless!”
Katsuki held him close and let him cry. Maybe he should have offed Iida when he had the chance at the hospital. Maybe he would have gotten away with it. Then Izuku didn’t have to deal with this burden.
“When Uraraka said that she would testify that I was scared of you, I felt like everything was over. That no one would believe me… I knew if I took this to trial, her testimony would ruin you. She was the only one I reached out to for help when I was with Tenya!” Izuku sobbed.
“And she was going to use that to hurt you. It made me feel like nothing I did to escape my situation was good enough. Even after she took it back when I panicked in front of everyone. Even after se apologized and recanted her statement…”
“I felt like if he could make her believe him… if he could make everyone in the room believe him… he could make a jury believe him too. I felt like I had two options. Go back with Tenya or end his life…. And I was too scared to go back with him! I took the coward’s way out!”
“You’re not a coward for what you almost did, Izuku.” Katsuki kissed his forehead. “You’re just a human. Anyone who was pushed as much as you would have snapped at one point. He really fucked with the wrong person! You have One for All for Christ’s sake. What a dumbass!”
“Yeah…” Izuku sighed, before staring at his hands. “I guess I also did it to remind myself I could… and that scared me too. It didn’t make me feel any better. In fact, it made me feel worse. All Might trusted me with this power to help people. To save people.”
“All Might almost killed Iida himself.” Katsuki informed him.

“Huh?! He did?!”

“I happened to drive by at the right time before he broke in his window with a hammer. Scary shit. He fucked up, Izuku. Because he messing with you, he messed with all of us!” Katsuki seethed.
“And none of us are gonna let him mess with you anymore! You’re not doing this alone. You have people who love you on your side. There’s nothing embarrassing about putting up with what you did! He should be the one embarrassed! We don’t see you any different!”
Katsuki assured him. “We’re all just happy you’re free from him. We don’t pity you. We don’t feel sorry for you. We’re all here to stand by you! If you wanna go to hell, we’re ready jump in too! But I don’t think you deserve to be there! So let’s put this bastard away together!”
Izuku threw him arms around him and broke down, sobbing all his worries away. Kacchan was right. He had so many wonderful people at his side. He may have thrown the trial by attacking Tenya… but it would be okay somehow. It would all work out. Izuku had forgotten.
He had people he could trust. Friends, family, colleagues, and even fans he could rely on to get him through this. He had to trust that they would be on his side even if he stumbled. Tenya made him forget to trust his own self. But Kacchan, Todoroki and everyone made him remember
He was still Deku. He was still the number one hero. He was still Izuku. And he had to do the right thing.

“Repeat that again?” Tsukauchi sighed after Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto turned Tenya into the police station.

“Iida tried to scare Midoriya into dropping the trial.”
Shoto informed him.

“By injuring himself to frame him?” Tsukauchi blinked.

“Yes…” Izuku cleared his throat. “He did it all in front of me. Ripped out his own engines, threw himself against a rock… even strangled himself.”

“And the burn marks?” Tsukauchi blinked.
Izuku and Katsuki turned to Shoto who shrugged.

“Um… his engine blew up when he ripped it out.” Izuku lied.

“And you’re saying Iida will corroborate this story and admit to everything.”

“Yes.” Shoto nodded. “He already confessed to me, a pro hero, when I apprehended him.”
“Well let’s just hope he confesses to a judge.” The detective ran his hand over his face.

“After our conversation? He will.” Shoto said coldly.

“I am going to pretend I didn’t hear you see that as a favor to All Might.” Tsukauchi waved them off. “Go home, boys.”
“And Midoriya… get some rest.”

“I’ll try.” Izuku smiled.

One Week Later

“TO PUTTING THAT JERK IN THE SLAMMER!” Mina toasted at the celebration party for Iida pleading guilty to all charges including witness tampering in court.

“HOW MANY YEARS?!” Katsuki questioned.
“20!” Ei cheered.

“THAT’S 20 SHOTS!” Denki poured Soju into all the glasses on the table.

“Wow! 20 whole shots?!” Izuku blinked.

“You have first honor!” Katsuki gibbed as he passed him a shot glass.

“To you guys! For staying by my side!” Izuku cheered before downing the shot.
“Wooo! To Midoriya!”

“To Midoriya!”

It didn’t take long for everyone to get drunk off their ass and make idiots of themselves. For Kacchan’a part, he was all over him.

“Let’s get that hotel Izuku…” He slurred.

“Not yet, when you’re sober.” Izuku laughed.
“You’re the drunk who’s one…” Katsuki mumbled in his ear as he ran his hands up his shirt.

“Kacchan… we’re in front of our friends!” Izuku blushed!

“Alright alright party pooper.” Katsuki kisssed him and hung onto him like a koala.

Izuku couldn’t help but feel content.
Kacchan still respected his boundaries even when wasted out of his mind. It made him feel so safe. So respected. He was surrounded by people who were looking out for him. Eijiro pried his boyfriend off of him and brought him a water bottle while Mina took him to dance.
Shoto and Momo frequently checked in on him to ensure he was still having fun and overall Izuku had forgotten why they were celebrating in the first place. He just knew he finally felt whole again. Things finally felt right.

The doorbell interrupted that feeling.
Izuku went ahead and answered it because he had a feeling who it might be.

“Deku-kun…” Ochaco stood there, looking ashamed. “C-congratulations on the trial… and putting everything behind you… I don’t want to ruin your fun, but… can we talk really quick?”
Izuku took a deep breath and looked back at the party which had seemed to stop as everyone watched him at the door.

“One day, we can Uraraka.” Izuku promised her. “I don’t think that day is today… or a while, really.”
“I am really sorry about everything.” She teared up.

“I know you are. But right now, I’m not in a place to hear it. I want to be surrounded by those who stood by my side and helped me when I needed them the most. Take care. I’ll reach out to you when I’m ready.”
She sobbed and Izuku closed the door on her before he could laugh at her or cry along with her. He was really wasted and couldn’t be trusted to keep his composure longer than he already had.

“Is there still more nachos?” He asked everyone.

“Right this way, man!”

Izuku and Katsuki giggled and took each others clothes off piece by piece as Izuku floated them into the penthouse they checked into the next evening.

“No tripping on the couch this time.” Izuku teased.

“If we did, I would have taken you on it, I don’t care!”
When they landed on the bed, Izuku climbed on top of him kissed him feverishly.

“I’ve been wanting this for a lot longer than you think, Kacchan.” The omega whispered hungrily.

“Oh, I know you little perv.” Katsuki rolled him over and pinned his wrists above his head.
It was at that moment, the alpha took in the scenery. They were surrounded by rose petals and there were champagne glasses left on the table in the main room.

“Did you call ahead?” Katsuki whispered.

“I kinda did more than that.” Izuku blushed.

“Huh?”
Izuku sat up and grabbed a card that was sitting by the box of chocolates on the bedside table Katsuki also just noticed.

“I had a lot of fun with you in here when we first checked in. And I noticed you really liked the space. So…” He handed the card to him.
Katsuki opened it and his eyes widened with every word.

‘Dear Deku and Dynamight,
We are so thrilled you chose to make Sakura Towers your home. Please take these resident room keys and use them to get in the parking garage, resident entrance and penthouse elevator…’
“We don’t have to!” Izuku said. “If it’s too fast for you, I understand! Or if you’d prefer to find a different home together, something smaller! We can look! But I just thought-” Katsuki interrupted him with a deep kiss before he could ramble more.
“Yes.” He tackled him. “Let’s live here.”

“I’m so glad you like it.” Izuku sighed in relief.

“Now let’s make our home truly ours, yeah?” Katsuki traced his hand down his leg.

“Mmhmm…” Izuku blushed.

Katsuki thought he looked so beautiful under him like this.
He could never understand how someone could have him all to themselves and decide to crush him. It made no sense. He was the type of person they made entire religions about. Divine, good hearted, heroic and so damn beautiful.

“I kinda had this stupid fantasy.”
Katsuki confessed.

“You had fantasies about me?” Izuku blushed.

“Several, now shut up! I had this fantasy that when I finally did this with you… I’d make you mine. I’d claim you after and then we’d do it again but as mates and shit. I know it’s old fashioned and-”

“Yes!”
Izuku teared up. “I’d love to be your mate! I wanna be yours Kacchan! Please! Claim me, I-”

“Alright alright, it’s MY fantasy.” Katsuki chuckled.

“Then let’s make it our reality.”

“Yeah..” Katsuki kissed him. “Let’s do what we were always destined to do.”
Like magnets, their lips crashed together and they spent the entire night and the entire next day breaking in their new home in a mateful bliss.

After, tiring each other out, they kissed slowly and held each other’s hand in the bed that was barely holding together.
“Izuku…” Katsuki tried to catch his breath. “You’re mine…” He said in a daze, taking in the past 18 hours of sheer happiness.

“Yes Kacchan.” Izuku caressed his fresh mating bite. “I’m all yours.”

“But you’re also still you, you know.” Katsuki turned to face him.
“I’d never wanna take that away.”

Izuku stared at him in amazement. He had no idea how much that meant for him to say.

“Thank you for reminding me.” He smiled before kissing him.

“That’s what I’m here for.” Katsuki smirked. “I’ll never let you forget.”
“And I’ll always be here for you.”

“Pinky promise?” Izuku held up his pinky.

“Till death do us part.” Katsuki laced his pinky in his and kissed him.

“Not anytime soon though.” Izuku grumbled.

“I’ll always find my way back to you.”

“We’ll always find each other.”

Midoriya Izuku didn’t have the best of luck. He was a male omega which also meant he didn’t have the best of choices. And by that, he meant he had 0 choices. He was sold to marry an alpha he disliked who had a career he hated.
Monoma Neito made a career out of tricking people. That was how he ended up married to him in the first place. He convinced his family he was a noble with a family in a far away land that would give Izuku the world. He was no such thing. He was a traveling conman.
Izuku was forced to follow him from place to place with new identities, and new disguises and new ways to con people out of money. He didn’t know how his husband got away with getting luxurious homes in all these towns, but convincing people you had money was surprisingly easy.

Midoriya Kazui was excited as his dam dressed him up in his best clothes. Combed his unruly spiky hair, and put the smell good stuff all over him. It was a routine he was used to and something he found fun.

"Today, I'm gonna do it!" Izuku puffed his cheeks.
"Yeah! There's lantern sharks! And Lemon sharks and Whale sharks! And Nurse sharks!" Kazui and the kid, Mahiro became fast friends. Kazui ended up following him and his family all through the aquarium.

"You should come have dinner with us!" Mahiro begged.
"Yeah! That sounds fun!" Kazui completely forgot about his class as he walked out of the aquarium with them to the parking lot.

"Where are your parents, dear?" Kazui's mother asked him. "We're happy Mahiro made a friend, but.. maybe it's time you go back with your Mama?"

CW: Self Harm, Dark themes (But major healing and love at end!)

Midoriya Izuku lived his biggest dream as the number one hero. It was a short time, but it was the best time of his life. He lost One for All at 23 years old and now he was back to being quirkless.
Izuku gratefully guzzled the water as Katsuki held his head to his heart and let him hear it beat. He always knew exactly what to do.

“Kacchan, you had a hard night last night.” Izuku reminded him. “I saw the news, you were helping those civilians evacuate for hours.”
“The last thing you need to worry about is my runny eggs!”

“Izuku!” Katsuki kissed him. “When we got married, I made an oath. In sickness and in health, damnit! Helping you and your runny eggs is my job that I take seriously!”

Izuku smiled gratefully at him.

Bakugo Katsuki was a very important businessman. No, he was more like a business tyrant. Needless to say, he was extremely busy and this annoying ass wedding planner was the last of his worries. He looked at his assistant,
“I had the wrong idea about you. Thank you for watching over my son. Please continue to allow him to be part of your success.” Inko bowed.

“It wouldn’t be success without him.” Katsuki smirked before standing up. “I’ll try and take more days off for the both of us.”

Izuku jolted awake as his alarm blared for him to get ready for work. Shit! Was he at his mom’s?! He hadn’t slept here in two years, at least. His began to pound. Oh no.
Oh no.
Oh no no no!

How much did he drink last night?! What did he do?!

“Are you boys ready for your first day?” Bakugo Mitsuki excitedly asked her son and his childhood friend as they walked out of the house.

“Don’t you dare snap a picture!” Katsuki seethed.
“I am excited, thank you Auntie.” Izuku smiled at her politely and let her take a photo. He then followed Kacchan out the door nervously.

“You better walk behind me!” Katsuki roared.

“Whatever you say, Kacchan.” Izuku said dejectedly. Their relationship was bad.
Izuku could only blame himself for it. He kept his distance from the alpha. But he had to live with him, and unbeknownst to Katsuki, he had to have a future with him. Because they were married.

Izuku wished he could be blissfully unaware of this fact like Kacchan was.

Midoriya Izuku took a deep breath as he looked into the morning sunrise. He needed to do it. He needed to confess his love to Kacchan. Ever since the war, things between them were nice… but awkward. There was something unspoken. A looming tension.
“I wish it were that easy, but the other world has enchanted objects! The other me insisted the Kacchan from that world was great at tricking people with it! I know the Kacchan from our world would never hurt Kazu, but I can’t risk it not being that Kacchan!” Izuku stressed.
“I get it.” Katsuki sighed as he stared down at the journal. “It’s really ours, huh? The brat?”

Izuku paused for a moment. “Yeah… he’s a lot like you.”

They stared at each other as that thought set in. They had a child that they made together. Out of love.
