On March 1, a customer had placed an order for mutton korma and naan from a restaurant in Karol Bagh. The customer’s delivery address was near Ram Kachori shop near Jamuna bazar Hanuman Mandir in Kashmere Gate.

Food delivery agent speaking to a Swiggy customer argued against delivering order. He told the Swiggy executive that he will not deliver the mutton korma order as the delivery location was near the area where offerings or sweets and Kachori to god Hanuman are prepared each day.

In response, the food delivery agent said that he was not an “adharmi” and will not go inside to deliver the order. He allegedly told the customer care executive that he would make the call details public if he was forced to do so.

On Tuesday, the food delivery agent, who was fired by Swiggy, was felicitated by the temple board of Marghat Hanuman mandir for upholding the religious sanctity of the holy shrine.

Whatever he has done to protect #Hinduism is his own conscious and #moral action. He does not belong to any Hindu #group, or any #politicalparty or any #religious group. This is a message to people who say "Hindu so raha hai"
