The staking industry has grown to a whopping ~$152 billion, with #Ethereum leading the charge with the recent shift to PoS consensus🌐
But what if we told you that stakers could do more than just earn revenue from validating Ethereum transactions?
2/ EigenLayer is a "restaking" protocol that lets $ETH holders stake & earn higher returns by performing additional tasks beyond just validating transactions
According to its founder, @sreeramkannan, "it is an extension protocol that extends the scope of what #Ethereum can do"🚀
3/ EigenLayer provides middleware solutions that aim to raise economic security to Ethereum levels🔐
But what is middleware, you ask?
It's a software layer that connects different software components and services to create a seamless experience.
4/ This is achieved through restaking - the secondary staking of Ethereum validators' ETH exposure👨💻️
By participating in restaking, stakers can earn revenue on the middleware and also have their original staked ETH slashed if they commit misbehavior.
5/
EigenLayer also supports staking WETH/USDC LP Token and stETH/USDC LP Token, expanding the total addressable market. Moreover, EigenLayer enables other services, such as an oracle network, to rent security from #EigenLayer stakers, resulting in two core benefits👇
6/ First, by providing an extra layer of security, EigenLayer's middleware solutions ensure that other services are well-protected🔐
Second, EigenLayer stakers can earn additional revenue by renting out their security services to other projects.
7/ Examples of EigenLayer services include🛠️:
EigenDA: EigenLayer’s data availability (DA) solution that guarantees all transaction data is made available to other network participants regardless of validity.
EigenDA restakers function as DA nodes responsible for verifying data.
8/ MEV-Boost: Mechanism designed by Flashbots to manage bad MEV that occurs when front-running negatively affects the end user, usually a trader
EigenLayer's pooled security can help manage the process of block building, enabling partial-block MEV & helping honest block proposers
9/ Oracle secured by staked ETH: A project in which an oracle network secures its service by renting security from EigenLayer stakers.
Secure messaging through Hyperlane: A partnership with Hyperlane to provide secure messaging services using EigenLayer's pooled security
10/
Overall, EigenLayer's restaking protocol & middleware solutions are changing the staking game by providing additional revenue streams & enhanced security.
As the PoS movement continues to grow, EigenLayer's innovations could propel Ethereum & other projects to new heights🚀

1/ Avalanche's Subnets offer a solution to the problem of limited blockspace & high transaction fees by allowing developers to launch their own independent blockchains with their own state and execution logic🚀
2/ With Subnets, developers can launch their own blockchains to process transactions independently of the shared state of Avalanche's Primary Network.
This means more blockspace, lower transaction fees, & higher throughput - all without sacrificing security or decentralization🌐
3/ Subnets also offer a high degree of flexibility in terms of token economics and compliance
Subnets can have their own native tokens and fee markets, and can require validators to meet certain requirements - like location or licensing - to ensure regulatory compliance.
1/ 📣 We're thrilled to see that @LuganoPlanB has announced Plan ₿ Summer School 2023!

1/ The @Aptos_Network, has recently implemented AIP-17, which promises to significantly improve gas usage efficiency on the network🌐
Users can now expect to see a 100x improvement in execution gas usage, with 90% of transactions seeing at least a 10x improvement🚀
🧵👇
2/ With AIP-17, Aptos has separated out storage gas from execution gas, allowing for flat, absolute $APT pricing instead of scaling it to network activity📈
This decoupling of gas processes has resulted in more flexibility in gas design and significant fee savings for users.
3/ These gas improvements have been made possible through the introduction of gas-efficient data structures like smart vectors and smart tables📊
1/
Recently, @NEARProtocol announced the launch of the first of-its-kind Blockchain Operating System (BOS)🔗
The operating system creates a shared layer for discovering & exploring open web resources, making it easier for users to navigate the decentralized web🌐
🧵👇
2/
What's truly groundbreaking about #Near Protocol's operating system is its interoperability🔄
It's compatible with any #blockchain or web2 backend, allowing users to seamlessly switch between different applications and chains without interruption.
3/ Additionally, the system provides developers with the ability to create decentralized & composable frontends.
They can combine different components & add-ons with built-ins like payments, profiles, & notifications, all without needing to host them on a separate server🖥️
1/ The @NEARProtocol's unique architecture & it's phased upgrades are designed to enhance:
📈Scalability
🔐Security
🌐Decentralization
As the network continues to evolve, it will become more efficient & better equipped to handle the growing demands of #Dapps
🧵👇
2/ #NEAR uses a Thresholded Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm to execute transactions 📝
The network algorithmically sets a minimum validator participation threshold, where validators bid for participation👨💻️
3/
The sharding model used by #NEAR is called Nightshade, which is powerful but also complex 🛠️
One aspect that requires attention is the fork choice rule, which needs to be executed separately for each chain (shard chains and beacon chain) 🔗
