A unique story of love and devotion from the United Kingdom!
Dr Margaret McCollum, a general practitioner, has been visiting the Embankment station each day since her husband’s death in 2007.
Margaret was married to Oswald Laurence, who had recorded the ‘Mind the Gap’

announcement for the northern line in the 1950s.
Margaret visits the Embankment tube station every day, just to hear her late husband’s voice.
The chime of ‘Mind the gap’ is quite well-known in the UK,

however, nobody fathomed that the depth of the voice meant a lifetime for Margaret. ‘Since he died I would sit and wait for the next train until I heard his voice,’ and explained how the recording helped keep his memory alive,”
/3
In 2012, when the tube station replaced the audio with a digital system, Margaret was shocked as she could not find her husband’s voice. She inquired about the announcement with the TfL Rail services, however, the authorities told her that they were unable to embed

Oswald’s recording on the new system.
After comprehending what the voice meant to Margaret, the rail company arranged a CD of the recording for her.
"We were very touched by her story, so staff tracked down the recording and not only were they able to get a copy

of the announcement on CD for her to keep but are also working to restore the announcement at Embankment station," Nigel Holness, London Underground director, was quoted
Margaret had requested the authorities to restore her husband's voice.

Her plea was accepted and the rail company decided to restore the 40-year-old announcement audio. #LoveStories 🥰

A Special Salute to #SaharFares on International Women's Day!
Aug4, 2020 at 17:55 @beirutfirebriga received a call alerting them of a fire at port of Beirut.
A team of 9 firefighters & 1 paramedic got into a firetruck and raced to the site, unknowingly heading to their death.
/1
She video-called her fiancée from the ambulance, signaled to him she’d talk later. She left the truck to get a better view of the fire,. He saw her at a loss, looking from side-to-side, not knowing what to do. Their signal was lost, and that was the last time he saw her.
/2
At 6:07 pm, one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in the world took her life, along with her 9 colleagues and 223 innocent lives. #SaharFares beacon of light is so bright that the world will continue to see it shine long after that devastating day #AlwaysInOurHearts

Dear @AUBMC_Official
now that my hand healed smoothly, I want to thank Dr. George Abi Sa'ad (Head of Trauma surgery at #AUBMC)
I was bit by an aggressive dog days before New Year. my left hand had 9 holes, 3 of which were big and deep wounds.
/1
During my stay at ER, they cleaned the wounds, did some X-rays to assess and started with antibiotics, tetanus along with Pain killers.
The second day, Dr. George Abi Saad changed the wound dressings and asked to check the wounds every day as he was worried.
/2
The hero ended up changing the dressings of my hand more than 20 times!
The effort he did making sure none of the wounds gets infected was amazing.
I felt I wanted to share my gratitude to Dr. Abi Sa'ad 🙏🏻♥️♥️♥️

Will anyone take #Fawaz out of his ‘dark well’😞
A video showed Syrian child Fawaz Qetaifan during brutal torture, in which he appeared crying ‘please don’t hit me’
Fawaz, 6 years, was kidnapped 2 months ago while he was going to school in the village of Ibtaa in Daraa
/1
The sources said the kidnappers demanded that the kidnapped child’s family pay 500 million Syrian pounds (US$140,000 equivalent) after broadcasting the video.
He appealed to Syrian citizens to free him
/2
The child’s relatives appealed to the kidnappers to release him and their willingness to pay the ransom “whatever it is” despite the difficult financial situation of the child’s parents and the lack of ingenuity in raising the required amount.
