🔥1/ Introducing Brevis @Brevis_zk: a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) omnichain data attestation platform, enabling dApps and smart contracts to access, compute, and utilize arbitrary data across multiple blockchains in a completely trust-free way. #ZKP#ZK#ZKproof blog.celer.network/2023/03/21/bre…
👋2/ Why Brevis?
Although Web3 dApps are built on append-only, publicly accessible data storage, counterintuitively, they are mostly “blind”: smart contracts can only access data via defined interfaces, on the same blockchain, and without a complete historical view.
3/ Brevis is built to solve these challenges—its architecture has 3 components:
1️⃣ zkFabric collects block headers from connected blockchains, generating Consensus Proofs via ZK light client circuits, enabling dApps to access headers & states from all supported chains trust-free.
4/ 2️⃣ zkQueryNet is an open marketplace of ZK Query Engines, catering to diverse dApp requirements with specialized & generalized engines. It accepts on-chain queries & generates query results with corresponding ZK Query Proofs.
5/ 3️⃣ zkAggregatorRollup is a ZK rollup blockchain aggregating proofs from zkQueryNet & zkFabric. It enables efficient cross-chain access to verified data, reducing overhead and sharing query results on-demand across connected blockchains.
6/ 🙌This modularized architecture unlocks new paradigms for dApp development that were not possible before. Use cases include data-driven DeFi, zkBridges, on-chain user acquisition, zkDIDs, social account abstraction, and A LOT more.
7/💪Our initial zkFabric testnet involved building high-performance ZK light client circuits (the fastest AFAWK) for #Ethereum PoS, #Cosmos, and @BNBCHAIN. These circuits allow any EVM or non-EVM chains to access the states of these chains completely trust-free.
8/ 🌉In addition, we implemented a user-facing asset zkBridge between Ethereum Goerli and BNB Chain Testnet for users to try out, showcasing the power of Brevis. zkbridge.brevis.network
