What is @generalmills annual commitment to Black-owned media? Check this out. When the ill-fated app @quibi launched, they had ZERO track record. ZERO data. ZERO metrics. Yet they were able to sell out their $150M inventory. All of these major companies and ad agencies 1/

The reason you find it hard to believe is because you don’t understand the reality of Black-owned media today. First, there are VERY FEW Black-owned media who have actual reporters. That’s plural. It comes down to resources. #BlackOwnedMediaMatters 1/8
In the advertising industry, $322B is spent annually. Black-owned media gets .5% of that. That’s ALL Black-owned media. If you assess what is covered, it’s mostly sports and entertainment. And a lot of this is opinion. Not actual reporting. 2/8
The advertising industry doesn’t want to invest in Black-owned news. We are told that we aren’t “brand safe” due to the stories we cover: racism, police brutality, etc. Then there is the issue of Black folks actually supporting Black-owned media. 3/8

I’m on a plane reading this trash @nypost article viciously attacking @TiffanyDCross. It is obviously a story planted by a so-called @msnbc source to destroy her name and reputation. But it’s a bad hatchet job. The “source” was too dumb to even realize it. I’ll explain. 1/17
First, the “source” tries to offer 6-7 reasons why @msnbc didn’t renew @TiffanyDCross contract. They allege she wanted to burn the building down; she spent lots of money on expensive hotels; wanted more office space; and on and on and on. This is LAUGHABLE. 2/17
It took a so-called @msnbc insider two weeks to come up with this BS? First, it alleges @TiffanyDCross was calling around a week before she was fired saying she was gonna burn the network down and president @RJonesNews. Folks, that is a 100% lie. If she had gotten wind her 3/17

Hey @MeghanMcCain, this really is a silly question you pose, and it’s one that’s based on having no understanding of the long-term impact of politics. I’m from Texas and am still registered there. @BetoORourke’s run for the US Senate did more to help Dems down ballot than 1/5
Even @BarackObama in 2008 and 2012. It’s easy to sit in Arizona @MeghanMcCain and suggest that @BetoORourke running is a waste of time & money, but you literally have no clue about the impact it has had for voter mobilization and down ballot fundraising. Same for 2/5
