2/ About me: I've experienced many tech cycles and can spot signs of a new movement. The AI revolution is emerging with the right elements: energy, market conditions, tech, user adoption, and narratives. π₯
3/ Last night: "Woodstock of AI," a meetup for open-source AI, challenging the idea of a single corporate monopoly. Social media buzz led to 3 venue changes, finally landing at SF's large Exploratorium on the waterfront. π
4/ 5k attendees β builders, devs, entrepreneurs β all gathered to drive AI forward. Cocktail tables for demos, networking, and investors. The energy was reminiscent of Web 2.0 mass meetups β‘
7/ Stopping AI would require global regulation. If not, devs will flock to unrestricted countries. We saw this with Web3. π

8/ SF remains the epicenter of the AI movement. Pandemic slowed things down, but the nexus of emerging tech continues in SF. More events, meetups, and builders are exploding in the region. π

9/ To avoid obsolescence, we must embrace AI! Understand it, use it, adopt it. I've helped companies transition before and will do it again. π€

10/ Andrew Ng, @AndrewYNg famed AI pioneer, gave an impromptu lecture on AI and engaged the attendees. Every movement has its heroes! π¦Έ

12/ This event was organized in just one week. It was one of the largest tech popup events, ever.
13/ Summary:
-AI has birthed, starting βBoomβ phase
-AI Battle: open-source vs Big tech
-Ethical concerns are high

2/ Don't take my word from it, here's what Bill Gates said in spring 2023:
"Whoever wins the personal agent, that's the big thing, because you will never go to a search site again, you will never go to a productivity site, you'll never go to Amazon again"
3/ Awareness Stage: In the near future, people will ask their AI to understand their needs. Further down the line, AI could even take the initiative to educate users. For instance, an AI might propose a health-conscious meal plan based on your individual data.
2/ Microsoft 365 Copilot uses similar natural language experiences that you already know with GPT, and combines it as a layer on top of existing 365 business apps
3/ Microsoft 365 Copilot is integrated across the apps you already know: word, excel, powerpoint, outlook, and teams.
