Braavos is a smart contract-based wallet that fully leverages Account Abstraction on top of Starknet.

Its goal is to provide a solution to the biggest obstacle to the widespread DeFi adoption: the complex UX and security issues of classical wallets.

By leveraging the technology of account abstraction, Braavos aims to bridge this gap by offering the same UX and security as Web2 applications.

Indeed, Braavos allows users to manage their own e-bank for crypto through a self-custodial and permissionless wallet, and plans to implement the same UX and security as digital banks and traditional applications

2⃣The features offered by Braavos

Let's start with the basics.

Braavos is a wallet that is compatible with a variety of web browsers, including Chrome, Opera, Brave, Edge, and Firefox.

It is also available on mobile natively, and is in fact the first and only Starknet wallet available on mobile to date, compatible with Android and IOS.

So you can use Braavos anywhere, according to your preferences and needs.

Through Braavos, you can also trade your tokens at the best rate and without additional fees (unlike Metamask), thanks to the integration of @mySwapxyz and the 'Swap' feature into the wallet

mySwap, which is currently the largest AMM on Starknet in terms of volume and TVL.

In addition to displaying the total value of your assets in your wallet, you can also have a real-time view of the NFTs you hold 😌

This feature may seem rather standard, but surprisingly, even the leading wallet Metamask does not offer it yet

That is why Braavos has integrated a transaction explainer feature to help users understand what they are signing and what actions they are taking 🙏

This last point is based on multicall, which allows users to aggregate multiple operations into one.

Thus, there is no more need to:

➡️ Make another TX to swap or provide liquidity

The wallet presents multiple ways for users to fund their Braavos wallets, including bridges, on/off-ramp services, and even a faucet

Braavos has developed and integrated the Hardware Signer, which is currently only available on mobile devices (coming soon on PC)

This feature allows users to activate an additional security measure that requires biometric authentication (face ID or fingerprint) to sign a transaction.

This means that even if a hacker steals your seed phrase, you will not lose your funds 🥰

With that, Braavos is implementing the first 2FA authentication in the wallet history.

This combines something you know (your seed phrase) with something you are (your biometric fingerprints or face ID).

Here is a list of features that Braavos is working on:
➡️Implementing the hardware signer on PC, introducing 3FA (2FA points + something you possess: mobile)
➡️Developing two different authentication devices (PC & phone)

➡️Implement a password recovery feature

4⃣Their successful fundraising

In order to further its mission and achieve its goals, Braavos raised $10 million in a seed round.

The round was led by the well-know VC @PanteraCapital, with the participation of @StarkWareLtd

You have two options.

The first one is, of course, to download and use the Braavos wallet to interact with Starknet: braavos.app
