The dust seems to have settled down. I am referring to the discussion around the #BJP-#AIADMK 2024 poll alliance. Ever since reports of Annamalai’s intention to go alone in 2024 came out and subsequent contradicting statements from some senior BJP leaders, [1/7] 2024 is going to be a significant year in TN politics, this
everyone seems to have understood what Annamalai is thinking. After his meeting with HM in Delhi, he seems to be more assertive and confident. The seniors in the party also seem to have got the message. This is what happens with a strong leader.[2/7]
The questions from #media, statements from #AIADMK leaders, #Twitter trolls, etc. seem to have toned down. AIADMK seems to be on the defensive. the new leader still seems unsure of himself. There is a sense of artificial camaraderie in the AIADMK camp.[3/7]
Before they realize, BJP may walk out of the alliance. As the #BJP’s hold gets stronger and stronger, more fence sitters in the #AIADMK camps might cross over to BJP. PM’s visit and potential victory in Karnataka or at least tough fight will boost the morale in BJP camp. [4/7]
Once #Annamalai becomes free post Karnataka election, the real activity will start. The ruling party is behaving as if they have won all the 39 seats and the #CM has become PM already. This overconfidence will also augur well for BJP. Overconfidence leads to complacency . [5/7]
The more lightly they take #BJP it is good for BJP. By the time the #Dstocks wake up and do the reality check on the raise of BJP TN unit it will be too late. Hopefully #Annamalai should set the ball rolling on April 14, they will also get Wrist Watch bill, grocery bill, [6/7]

Ten years - isn't it enough time for an individual, organization, party, or a system to redeem itself? 2014 was an important year for the grand old party - the year its ego got dented, and the year when cracks were left wide open. (1/5)
It was in dire need of a leader who could be trusted, turn it around, and put their life on the line. It was an opportunity to clean house, cement the cracks, provide a vision, and inspire the cadres. It was important to come out of the comfort zone. (2/5)
The yatra should have started right after the 2014 defeat, without much media glare. The period from 2014 to 2019 was an opportunity to travel and connect with people from various walks of life across the country, meet workers at the grassroots level, (3/5)

"I was hesitant to write about politics. I used to question my capabilities. But when I saw a few jobless people, an ex-constable, and a doctor turned political commentator, I decided to give it a try. Here is my view. (1/8) -
I saw some statements from few seniors in the press after KA expressed the point on clean politics and other matters. Everyone is parroting that the high command will decide about the alliance, but they forget their active role, which is to provide enough information, (2/8)
do groundwork, and strengthen the ground presence, enabling the high command to make an informed decision. First of all, these guys never worked on the ground until the young boy took over. They lack leadership qualities, aggression, and the capacity to inspire others. (3/8)
