1. Headquarters : WMO headquarters, Geneva Switzerland.

2. Establishment year: 1988.
3. Establishment organisations:

- World Meteorological Organisation (WMO)

- United-Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
4. It is an intergovernmental body,

- Its main task is to provide the world with scientific assessment of climate change, its impact and potential response options.
5. Reports so far:
- 1990 : IPCC first assessment report (FAR)

- 1992 : IPCC supplement to the FAR.

- 1995: IPCC second assessment report (SAR).

- 2001 : IPCC third assessment report (TAR).
- 2007 : IPCC fourth assessment report (AR4)

- 2014: IPCC fifth assessment report (AR5)

- 2018: IPCC special report on global warming of 1.5°C.

- 2019 : IPCC special report on climate change and land.

- 2021 : IPCC sixth assessment report (AR6)
6. Key Findings:

- Anthropogenic activities is driving force behind global world temperature rise,
which has already reached 1.1°C above the preindustrial levels.

- we need more finances to make the solutions to adapt against climate change.
Note : IPCC does not conduct original research,but undertake periodic and systematic reviews of all relevant scientific publications.
