Pollutants from Petrochemicals Industry:

- It releases solid,liquid as well as gaseous pollutants.

Examples of pollutants :

1. Solid Pollutants :

- Petrochemical solids can include materials like coke, which is a byproduct of the refining process,

- plastics and other synthetic materials that are produced from petrochemicals.

- Contaminated soil and sediment from spills or leaks.

2. Liquid pollutants :

- substances like crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and other chemicals used in refining and production processes.

- These liquids can contaminate water sources if they are accidentally spilled or if they leak from storage tanks or pipelines.

3. Gas pollutants:

- missions of gases like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs),

which can be released during the refining or production process or from combustion of petrochemical fuels.

Worth noting that many petrochemical pollutants can exist in multiple physical states, and that the distinction between solid, liquid, and gas pollutants is not always clear-cut.
