I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where going to a conference or to the dentist could cost your life, or cause disability, because a SARS virus is let to rip rampant, with no mitigations
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you have to choose between cancer treatment and risk of infection with a SARS virus, because hospitals refuse to implement mask mandates
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where people are going on a cruise with no mitigations; and get sick in the hundreds with a SARS virus; and authorities have to decide where the ship is to disembark, while people are sick on it with poor medical care
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where fetuses are exposed to SARS-COV-2/ covid sequelae from the mother in utero. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where children are exposed again, and again, and again to a SARS virus in schools
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you have a key exam at university; and you have to sit in with no mitigations; and you're infected with a SARS virus; and you're sick three months; and you miss graduating
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you are infected with a SARS virus; you work paycheck to paycheck; you can't work for too long, and you lose your job. Your partner is a delivery rider, and now has lung damage from covid and can't work anymore
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you're infected with the "cold" and you have a stroke six weeks later. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where your partner is infected with the "cold" and now has such "exhaustion" and tachycardia they're bedridden
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where your fav cycling star is infected with SARS2; you see him struggling to breathe on a race. It's sad. And scary, because your mom has been infected with the same virus; she's immunocompromised, and struggling too. What's next?
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where life expectancy is dipping because of the uncontrolled spread of a SARS virus and collapsed healthcare. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where cardiovascular disease is going up and up because of covid-19
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you get diabetes from the "cold" you got from your colleagues who refused mitigations because the "emergency is over". I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where there is 1 year waiting list to see a diabetes specialist
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you urgently need a document from your accountant. But they got the "cold", then "bronchitis", no, actually pneumonia, and then new-onset arrhythmia; and they can't work; and you miss a key deadline. The other account is in ICU
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where your child with asthma is exposed to a SARS virus in the kindergarten. But the uber elite at the top Davos meeting is getting all those safety measures: #davossafe beahind the scenes

I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you test positive for SARS2, you need paxlovid urgently, but no! Your doctor tested positive, too, and is on sick leave! The substitute isn't available on phone. You don't get the prescription. Now you've trouble breathing!
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where the ambulances are always late because healthcare is collapsed. Oh no! your dad has a myocardial ischaemia. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you can get SARS2 at the emergency, as you take your dad in yourself
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where top health officials are saying the sudden increase in cardiovascular diseases since 2020 is due to "mental health", the "lockdown", or you, it's you, you forgot to take your pills
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where people are being blamed for refusing mass infection with a SARS virus. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where sportspeople are out for weeks because of a mysterious "flu like syndrome". And one collapsed on the pit?
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where top policymakers "blacked out" in a meeting during their third known SARS2 infection. And what's going on with the Pope's "bronchitis", and that president "health scare" on television?

reuters.com/world/americas…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where all journalists and anchors on television keeps coughing on our way to summer; and a top football coach, 44, declares he was on the field with "pneumonia and high fever": "I don't have any energy"

itasportpress.it/calcio/serie-a…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where children and adolescents are needing to see a cardiologist in increasing numbers. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where life expectancy in care homes is spiralling down because of covid
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where hundreds of people might need a lung transplant because of covid, in addition to those who already had it. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where we need to worry about fibrosis after the "endemic cold"
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you have to risk the life of your immunocompromised partner because you need an healthcare procedure where you can't mask; and the doctors aren't masking; but you really need it; and a new SARS2 variant is in town
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where a 15 year-old has a stroke after he got covid at school. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where chickenpox vaccination is compulsory in some countries but doctors recommending the SARS2 vaccine are threatened online
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where a 23 year old boy, who just wants to ride a bicycle, and he is good, has his career slowed down and hampered by reinfections with a SARS virus: "my body didn't react as I thought".

cyclingpro.net/spaziociclismo…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where a top health official says there will be hundreds of millions needing care for the "post covid condition". And yet, policymakers are letting the virus causing such condition rip (yes, a top health official said that number)
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where rockstar Bryan Adams gets covid twice in a month, and ends up in hospital. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you can get covid twice in a short time frame, and end up in the hospital

repubblica.it/spettacoli/peo…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where we have to "live with" a SARS virus that killed an estimated 15 to 20+ millions despite the prodigies of today medicine. I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where you can die from such a virus for a lack of prevention
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where we've been forced to "live with" a SARS virus which, in 2020, was described as turning your blood into

"Imagine the difference between something flowing like molasses or honey, instead of like water.”

news.emory.edu/stories/2020/0…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where professionals are diagnosising with "anxiety" survivors of a SARS virus, which was describing as "changing the properties of blood" in 2020

'I’ve never seen such sticky blood’ says thrombosis expert

medicalnewstoday.com/articles/covid…
I don't think we should accept a "new normal" where people are forcibly infected with SARS-CoV-2, the close "cousin" of which, SARS-COV, left survivors from the early 2000s sick to this day

Things that clearly went wrong in this pandemic—list not exclusive: letting a SARS virus rip; saying said SARS virus was akin to a "flu" or a "cold"; saying the "flu" was to last 2-6 weeks maximum; not recognizing the true nature and scale of LongCovid despite patient driven data
Letting SARS2 rip largely unchecked (including potentially in immunocompromised cases) until omicron arised; saying omicron was a "cold"; saying vaccines were enough to end the pandemic; saying this SARS virus wasn't airborne; letting omicron rip until the "variant soup" emerged
Other things that went wrong in the pandemic: saying children weren't much affected by SARS2 and didn't contribute significantly to the spread; removing mask mandates and knowledge about airborne transmission; not pushing for a "clean air revolution"

"Giving up the Giro breaks my heart ..But I have to listen to my body .. I've to recover in the best way possible because the season is long and the risk of compromising it would be too high"

Cyclist Ciccone dropped out the top race after SARS2 infection

cyclingnews.com/news/giulio-ci…
Cycling star Giulio Ciccone, 28, a fav at the prominent Giro of Italy tour, has decided to not take part after testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 over one week ago. He experienced a symptomatic infection (described as "mild" in the press) which left him unable to train
This is the third known infection for Giulio Ciccone, 28, which already suffered lingering symptoms and health problems after his first two infections. Many other racers are currently sidelined by Covid and had to drop out the Giro, or risk to

"Long Covid: the evidence of lingering heart damage"

"Cardiologists are finding that problems aren’t related to age or severity of infection."

This was published in a mainstream newspaper like the Guardian in October 2020.

theguardian.com/world/2020/oct…
Ongoing research has only confirmed the early scientific findings of 2020, which included patient testimonials and patient-produced data. Covid survivors were among the first to raise awareness of cardiovascular symptoms even in "mild" patients, already in early to mid 2020
Research on cardiovascular disease in #LongCovid is now huge, with publication after publication being produced across the globe. They're concordant in raising the alert for cardiovascular health following SARS2 infection. The effects on global health are of extreme concern

"I felt a strong pain at the end of March [2023]. I had acute and strong pneumonia, in the lower part of the lung. I did not lose consciousness but I had a high fever". The doctor "right away took me to the hospital"

Pope Francis according to the press

gulfnews.com/world/europe/p…
Pope Francis suffered an health scare with acute symptoms in late March, after which he was hospitalized in Rome. At the time, several sources said the Pope suffered from bronchitis. His SARS2 test was reportedly negative

We have proven evidence of organ and multi-system damage in LongCovid. It's in the published literature. This can happen with patients who were hospitalized and patients who were not hospitalized in the acute phase of the disease. It's scientifically proven
The body is made up of organs and body systems: liver, lung, heart, nervous system, cardiovascular system, pancreas, spleen. We have proven evidence of damage from Covid across all the human body (a short easy-to-read blog by myself on the topic)

allaboutlongcovid.uk/2023/03/22/lon…
Of course, not everyone with #LongCovid will have access to the top scientific tests to prove organ damage. Some damage can be subtle enough to be visible only on autopsy, or with the most sophisticated imaging. But the damage is there

There is a push in certain quarters to reduce Long Covid to some "vague symptoms", a "vague syndrome" which can't be exactly defined. This is political and intended to limit access to care, disability, and treatment
This is a way to ensure the most severe consequences of SARS2 infection aren't addressed, like severe cardiovascular and thrombotic events. It's the way people with complications which can be addressed, like diabetes, will not be addressed
It's the way numbers of harm from SARS2 will be intentionally lowered. This is fundamental for policymakers which let SARS2 spread to cover up the harm caused by this virus.
