This map shows the population projection for the year 2036 by the National Commission on Population Report 2020. It projects #TamilNadu and Himachal will have the lowest population growth in this coming decade and TN will have the highest median age in #India at 40.5 yrs 1/4 Image
I feel projections for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are very conservative. I feel TN population will be better than the projection. Reports finding show TN population will stagnate at 7.8Cr for 4-5 yrs then will start to decline, TN fertility rate will decline to 1.51 2/4 Image
The next 15yrs are crucial for #TamilNadu, we need to grow to be upper-middle-class economy with 8lakh per capita income in next 15yrs. TN has to achieve 1 Trillion economy in next 10yrs to reach USD 13000 per capita GDP. I wish the best for govt to achieve 1Trillion target 3/4 Image
Kerala and Tamil Nadu set to be the most urbanized state in #India. In 2036, Kerala will reach a whopping 92% Urban population, TN to reach 60% Urban population (I feel, it be higher). Improving ubran infra, old age social security will be a challenging task for both states 4/4 ImageImage
I feel TN number will be better than the projected, it will have much more urbanization than projected. Kerala really needs to improve its urban infra. They are going to be full urban state. with their coastal areas from Kasaragod to Trivandrum will be one big city
I am not alarmed by population decline. I am for the sustainable population, not population for the sake of consumption & economy. I feel 5Cr is sustainable for TN considering our water, forest, agriculture & living standard. But we have tough 30yrs to invest in old age security
Uttar Pradesh is already the most populated province/state in the world, it comes in 5 or 6 if it were to be a separate country. UP+Bihar combined will cross 40Cr population, will be the 3rd largest country in the world after India and China
Bihar is the most densely populated large state in the world (>50000sqkm) with a population density of 1316 people per sqkm which is 5.33 people per acre, 1 person has 0.19 acre (20 cents). TN will have 600 people per sqkm, 2.4 people per acre, very much higher than indian avg
In Tamil Nadu, every caste and religious group has an almost similar fertility rate. Population growth across communities is almost the same, one of the few states to achieve this milestone. There is no major disparity in population growth across communities and region

Stories of Tamils in Moreh town of Manipur is fascinating. Moreh is a multicultural town located on the Burma border. In 1962, Military Junta Ne Win, threw out Tamil's from Burma . Many Tamil's who came back to #TamilNadu, found it poor with no job, tried to go back to Burma 1/5
Rangoon Tamils who were born & brought up in the lush green field of Burma tried to re-enter Burma, but Burmese Army blocked them, so settled in the border jungles of Moreh in Manipur. In 1970 Moreh had >13000 Tamils, with their Burma connect, started dominating border trades 2/5 ImageImage
Tamil started dominating the border trade between India & Burma often it sis illegal. Tamil's domination in business led to 1992 Kuki tribe violence, they burnt the town business of Tamils, and many left the town and migrated to Tamil Nadu, now only ~3000 Tamils live there 3/5 Image

With #heartattack trending. Most cases, proper CPR is not performed. Majority of Indians doesn't know the basic first aid skills. Once, you ascertain the breathlessness, nopulse. Remember to do 2inches of chess compression. It can save heart attack patients
In india, there is a political lobbies to fight for teaching proud history, languages(3+), religious stuff but none want student to learn life skills like first aid, basic hardware, local governance/geography,.etc. last yr an 28yr old IISc student died, none around knows of CPR
