LGBTQ+ activist teachers talk about safeguarding but have zero understanding of what it means.
This teacher from the Oasis MAT thinks safeguarding is all about challenging the behaviour of non LGBTQ+ pupils and issuing sanctions. 1/ #edutwitter schoolsweek.co.uk/solutions-a-wh…
She says "It is non-negotiable that safeguarding provision is available to all, in a way that best meets the needs of the individual."
No, that's not safeguarding.
Safeguarding is a range of legal requirements to keep all children safe, mentally & physically. 2/ #edutwitter
"Setting an example and encouraging an open and accepting mindset among students is the best way to ensure the long-term safety of all pupils."
What does having an 'accepting mindset' mean?
For Oasis it means encouraging children to believe in 'gender identity.' 3/ #edutwitter
"in the majority of situations we would not discuss a pupil’s gender identity with parents. Acting in the best interests of the child, we instead help them to decide whether this is a conversation they are ready to have. If so, we support them in their ‘coming out’ story." 4/
So their 'inclusive' approach to safeguarding means not telling parents about a child's gender-related distress.
Doesn't Oasis know that the law says that one of the first principles of safeguarding is maintaining parental involvement?
It would seem they don't. 5/ #edutwitter
Oasis runs 52 schools, with 32,000 pupils.
Their safeguarding policy is based on ideology & will not help those children with gender issues.
This group requires professional clinical care, not affirmation by staff acting way beyond their competence & training. End/ #cassreview

This is a serious failure of duty.
The body that should oversee the care of looked-after children in Scotland has issued a trans policy that will put these vulnerable children in danger of harm. #SafeguardingFail careinspectorate.com/images/documen…
Children in care were over-represented at GIDS. Looked-after children suffer above average mental health issues, bereavement, sexual and emotional abuse. But @CareInspect ignores the Cass Review's call for caution in diagnosing these children as 'trans.' #SafeguardingFail
The guide is a political document, based on all the demands of LGBT+ lobbyists.
*Access to the spaces of their chosen 'gender'
*New pronouns to be enforced
*Help with name changes for under 16s
*Help to get on a medical pathway
*LGBT+ posters & flags in care homes
The Guardian speaks to 'Beth' a teacher who works in a "typical state secondary school in the north of England where there are now 25 to 30 pupils questioning their gender." #edutwitter theguardian.com/society/2023/m…
Beth runs "an LGBTQ+ club in the lunch break to support pupils experiencing gender dysphoria – a mismatch between their biological sex and gender identity."
Read how these clubs spread the idea that transition is the solution to gender distress. 👇 transgendertrend.com/school-lgbt-cl…
She admits transitioning children behind the backs of their parents "We are working in the child’s best interests. We will do what we can to support them – what they ask for is what they will get. We work for the students, we don’t work for the parents essentially."
The @Policy_Exchange report found:
"The agencies most frequently named were the Proud Trust, the Rainbow Flag Award, Just Like Us, Diversity Role Models and the PSHE Association."
We have written about all these groups.

The Proud Trust website states “Trans and non-binary children and young people exist in our world, exist in our primary schools."
Pupils learn in the first lesson an understanding of “gender identity including terms trans, non-binary and cis.” transgendertrend.com/proud-trust-no…
The Rainbow Flag Award is an alternative version of the Stonewall School Champions scheme. Sold as a package of policies, lesson plans, RSE resources and anti-bullying measures it was financed by @educationgovuk and @GEOgovuk. transgendertrend.com/rainbow-flag-a…
“The drive to undermine sex based data collection is fundamentally a form of silencing which is designed to make certain facts unknowable and unspeakable.”
- @ProfAliceS.
This point was the basis of the submission we made to the @EHRC statutory review, regarding children. 1/
For example: by collecting data based on gender identity, not sex, the Stonewall School Report 2017 covered up the scale of suicide attempts and self-harm rates of girls. 2/ transgendertrend.com/stonewall-scho…
Increasing numbers of referrals to the Tavistock GIDS have not been recorded by sex. 3/
The transcript of the case brought by Mermaids to try to strip the LGBAlliance of their charity status is available.
It contains some astonishing admissions. 🧵
Mermaids Chair of Trustees was asked about the definitions of sex and gender. Yes, she really did admit, on oath that she doesn't know if babies are born with a sex.
Dr Bell of Mermaids also claims that the Cass Review is not their 'field'
"She cited the cases of two authors, Rachel Rooney and Gillian Philip, who had suffered “severe personal and professional harm” because they dared to “challenge a fashionable ideology..""
Thank you @jk_rowling for standing up for your fellow authors. archive.ph/2022.08.15-231…
JK Rowling said "I’ve received no communication whatsoever from Harris expressing sympathy for the death and rape threats I’ve received.”
Gillian Philip said “I had no trust whatsoever in the society and thought it more likely to condemn me than my publisher or the mob who got me fired."
