Jimin met Yoongi at one of the parties he and his friends decided to attend one night. He was a freshman and Yoongi was in his second to last year in the University. They hooked up. They liked it.
In the morning, Yoongi cooked him a meal and let him stay for breakfast. They started talking and found out that had a lot in common. But no one of them wanted to have something serious in their lives. That was how they ended up to a mutually beneficial solution.
"We can be friends who fvck each other," Jimin had offered over a cup of coffee. The alpha had tilted his head to the side, as if thinking about the suggestion. "No obligations to each other. We still remain friends, even after this is over."
"And we stop this if we decide we want something serious with someone else, right?" Yoongi had stared at him.

"Right," Jimin shrugged it off. There wasn't any serious relationship in his plans anyhow. So why not?
Their friends never found out about them sleeping together. Neither Jimin, nor Yoongi wanted them to know. Besides, it wasn't something that you can proudly confess to your friends, right? But Jimin wanted to focus over his studying.
If he was serious with his grades and he was able to graduate successfully, he was going to become the first omega from his family to ever graduate University. His mother had him very young and she had barely finished High School. His father was a hardworking owner of a-
-coffee branch back in Busan. And Jimin... Jimin wanted to create his own path in Seoul. He never intended to go back to Busan. He wanted to prove to his parents, and to everyone who ever thought low of him that he could be something, whatever he wanted to be.
He didn't need an alpha for that, not right now. Not in the near future anyhow, but he still needed someone to help him get off some steam. And Yoongi, Yoongi was the perfect alpha for that.

If the times were different, Jimin would've thought of trying his luck with him.
But the alpha had dreams of his own, which was perfectly fine with Jimin.

"I want to travel the world and help children," Yoongi told him one morning, while the two were still in the bed. "I want to be able to put my child psychology diploma in good use."
Jimin was impressed by the alpha's ideas. Maybe that was the reason he felt so drawn to him, wanting to keep him as his friend for the time being.

"Where do you want to travel, hyung?" Jimin asked with interest.

"I don't know... some poor countries in Africa maybe?"
And Yoongi kept working towards this goal of his. Jimin admired the alpha's dedication and that was only making him want to be better at his own field of work as well.

So, they kept fooling around two whole years. Jimin was Yoongi's rut partner and Yoongi was-
-the omega's heat partner every time Jimin needed him to be. They had learned their bodies so well, that it was almost perfect every time they made love, or simply fvcked each other, how Yoongi preferred to call it.

"You know Jimin-ah," the alpha sighed one time,-
-"we would only make love if we are together, as in officially together. You know that, right?" He asked with his feline eyes staring at the omega. Jimin always wondered what was that sharp pang in his chest with his words, but had nodded anyhow. "Good," Yoongi kissed him then.
When the time came and Yoongi had to graduate, it was around the time for Jimin's heat. The alpha had suggested that they should spend it together, like one last time. Jimin had nothing to say against it.
So they had fvcked restlessly a whole week. By the end of it, Jimin couldn't sit on his bum property. His hip bones were aching, but he never felt more satisfied in his life then the last time he had taken the alpha's knot.
"We'll meet again one day," Yoongi had whispered close to Jimin's ear, while they were saying their goodbyes at the airport. The rest of their friends had already left. "I hope you have your dream come true, pup," the alpha had kissed him hard and pulled away from him.
"I-is that all then?" To his surprise Jimin grasped the alpha's brownish jacket. "A simple goodbye?"

"Unless there is something more you want to tell me?" Yoongi looked him deep in his eyes and Jimin wasn't sure what was that feeling he had read there.
The truth was... Jimin wasn't sure why it was so hard for him to simply let Yoongi go. This was all they had talked about to have. This was everything that they would ever be - former friends with benefits to... nothing?
"Can you just... call me, or text me when you get there?" The omega stared at his own hands still grasping the alpha's jacket.

Yoongi chuckled. "Oh pup, I told you that there is almost no connection there. The place where I'm going is almost deserted."
"A letter then?" Jimin blinked back his tears, trying really hard to hold them back. Why it was so hard to let go?

"A letter?" Yoongi cupped his face and stared into his eyes. "So you're going to miss me then, pup? Ok, I'll try and write you a letter or two."
"Ok... ok then," the omega forced a smile over his face. He didn't pull back when Yoongi pressed a firm kiss over his lips and then turned around, walking further into the gates.

Jimin watched him, until he couldn't see him anymore.
Then he turned around and walked out of the airport, only to find his best friend waiting for him outside.

"Why didn't you tell him?" Taehyung asked once Jimin was close to him.

"Tell him what?" The omega stared at his friend with disbelief.
"That you love him," Taehyung said quietly and Jimin suddenly halted on his steps. "What? Oh, don't worry. I don't think anyone else of the guys knows how you feel about Yoongi-hyung," the omega patted his back. "I just probably know you the best, it's all."
"I... I don't love him," Jimin shook his head. "I mean, I love him as a friend, but nothing more."

"Then why do you look like you're going to break down any moment now?" Taehyung touched his shoulder. "Why Jimin-ah?"
"I don't love him," Jimin sniffed all of a sudden, "I don't... love him," he started brushing his face, but the tears kept on coming. "I don't... I don't... Tae... I don't... love--" He broke down in the moment his friend wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug.
Taehyung made sure that Jimin would reach his home safely and even stayed the night there. Jimin spent the said night in his nest, still holding the scent of his alpha. No! Not his alpha! Yoongi was never his alpha!
But his omega wasn't listening, feeling all too sad to lose their chosen mate for good. Jimin was also too weak to fight with his inner wolf and fell asleep dressed in one of Yoongi's shirts. The alpha had probably forgot about it in his apartment.
Jimin managed to survive the next few weeks somehow. Of course, no call, text or letter from Yoongi arrived. The alpha had warned him after all and Jimin had to learn how to live without him.

Taehyung even tried to set him up with few dates.
Jimin didn't even liked their scents, let alone their faces. It would always end as a disaster and finally, Taehyung put his hands up in surrender.

Still, Jimin had firmly decided to put everything, including Yoongi away from his life.
He had no more time to deal with distractions... and thus, he decided to start taking suppressants. But for that to happen, he had to visit his doctor. It was where his life plans changed drastically one sunny day.
"I'm sorry Jimin-ssi," the nice beta woman told him that day, "I cannot give you any prescription for suppressants right now."

"What? Why?" Jimin was ready to argue.

"You're pregnant," he had informed him calmly and Jimin... burst into tears.

A/N - I hope it was a good start. More tomorrow! <3

Jimin couldn't remember how he went back home, or rather the place where he rented currently, closer to the University. He had two more years before graduation... Two! And his life was already in shambles.
The first thought in his mind was weirdly to call Yoongi, but as soon as he had dialed the number and the robotic voice announced that the person is out of reach, Jimin suddenly remembered that... right! There was no more Yoongi in his life.
He was left all alone to deal with that mess... the omega chuckled bitterly, throwing his phone onto the bed and screaming his frustration into the air. He was so fvked up! Nothing was going in the the way he wanted it! The way he planned it! What the fvck he had done?
❤️‍🔥discussion of/ intention of abortion (not actually happening)
But it wasn't too late to do something about it! Right! He remembered how his doctor told him that Jimin still had few options ahead of himself. A pup was never in his plans for the future. Just like mating or marriage. He could do this! He could just... let go of the problem.
He opted not to call Taehyung, or Hoseok in that matter. The two of his best friends still left in Seoul. Namjoon and Seokjin were currently living in Japan, because of Seokjin's current job. The elder omega had taken his mate with him and because Namjoon could basically-
-work everywhere, the alpha had graduated Software Engineering, the two had decided to take the opportunity and live some time in Japan. It was where Seokjin had landed his job as a face model. It was only a temporary job - five years. But nobody had made a promise to come-
-back after that. It was left up in the air...

As for Jungkook, he was still studying, just like Jimin and Taehyung, but the alpha didn't actually look too keen on becoming an architect. Sure, he was good with designs and everything, but Jimin actually knew that he was only-
-doing this because of his family. The younger had other dreams though. Dreams, that Jungkook had basically decided to burry them down. And Jimin only happened to know, because their maknae got drunk one night and decided to blurt out everything to him.
The omega shook his head then and reached out for his phone. He shouldn't be distracted. Not now. He had to take care of his future, right? He had plans! They couldn't change! Not like this... never like this.

"Hello?" He said as soon as the call went in.-
-"It's Park Jimin," he bit his lower lip, curling into himself inside his nest. "I-I thought about it and-and... when can you schedule me for abortion?"

Two days... his doctor said. The omega could work with that. Yes, he could... he should felt relief, right?
Why he had to feel guilty over something like this? It was his body. His decision. I was... it was something he had to do, because of his future. He closed his eyes shut, fighting with his tears... and when he opened them again, he had to dash for the bathroom.
It was already morning... and time for his classes and what was he doing now? Wasting his time in his bathroom, because of... of the thing in his belly. Jimin washed his mouth abruptly, schooling his look for the day and basically ran out of his rented place.
The soon he finished with everything, the better, he thought throughout the whole day. The omega purposefully ignored his friends calls. He's got one even from Jungkook and it was weird to say the least. The alpha was never the one to talk to him.
He was more on the quiet side, hating phones and everything that comes with communication. It was strange how that reminded him of Yoongi. Jimin shook his head as soon as the uninvited image of the alpha showed in his mind. Yoongi wasn't here.
He was out there, somewhere in Africa... chasing his own dreams. Jimin should do the same. With that thought in his mind, the omega walked inside the doctor's cabinet. Unlike the day when she had announced his pregnancy, now she looked almost sad.
"I want to have one last look," she said and walked him to the ultrasound. "Just... to check how far exactly are you and how we should proceed with the procedure."

Jimin nodded passively. His eyes focused straight ahead. "Sure, let's get over with," he managed to say.
"Ok," the beta hesitated for a moment but then moved on with her job.

And everything was working really well. It was almost Jimin wasn't there. As if he was an outside observer of what was going on in the room until...

thumb-thumb-thumb...
And then again...

...thumb-thumb-thumb...

"Wh-what is that?" The omega's voice weakened. His heart skipped a beat.

"That is... your pup's heart," the doctor said softly. "They just developed it this week. It's--"
"No-no-no!" Jimin cupped his ears then but the sound was still there. "No! Stop this! Stop it now! Stop!"

"Jimin-ssi calm down, please," her voice was schooled, but it was strange how it didn't work over him.

"I can't... I can't hear this! No! Stop it please!" He begged.
But he kept hearing the sound even after the doctor turn it off. What did she say? They had just developed their heart that week... No! He shouldn't have to know this! This shouldn't... no he had no place for a pup in his life! No!
"Do you want me to give you something to calm your nerves, Jimin-ssi?" The beta asked him after he sat up on the table. "Usually, I wouldn't give such in a person in your condition, but it shouldn't matter to you, right?"
She even smiled when she got up from her place and went to take something from her desk. She came back carrying a plastic cup with a small blue pill inside of it and a glass of water in her other hand. "Here," she handed them the both.
The omega suddenly felt as if he couldn't breathe anymore. He felt as if the whole situation was suffocating him. But he reached out his trembling hands, taking both the cup and the glass from the beta's hands.
It should be easy, right? Just... taking the pill... and everything was going to be okay after that. He had to just press the cup to his lips and gulp down that fvcking pill! He could do it. He could...

"No... no!" Both the cup and the glass fell out of his trembling hands.
"Jimin-ssi," the doctor didn't look disturbed by the broken glass and the wasted pill resting on the floor. Her eyes were focused over the omega only. "Are you really sure you want to have this procedure?"
"I-I should... I fvking should I," to his horror Jimin started sobbing, cupping his face in his hands. "I don't have an alpha or-or a proper support system. I should..."

"But do you want to?" The beta asked calmly.
Jimin walked out of the hospital that day, still pregnant with his pup. His hand was now constantly resting over his belly, as if he was trying to shield it from the world outside.

He told Taehyung first and to his surprise, the omega hugged him tightly.
"But you have to promise me not to tell the others who the father is, ok?" Jimin had swore him to secrecy in that very moment. "I don't want them to know..."

"Chim, why?" Taehyung frowned. "If Yoongi-hyung contacts anyone of them, they could--"
"This is why!" The omega interrupted his friend, brushing his tears away, or at least trying to do it while they kept on coming. "I don't want him to know and stop chasing his dreams," his smile was somber then, "at least one of us should be doing it."
"Chim..."

"Please?" Jimin squeezed his friend's hands tight. "Just promise me, alright?"

"Fine," Taehyung finally sighed, "but you have to know that I'm not agreeing with this. Maybe if Yoongi-hyung is here, you'd be able to... I don't know talk?"
"Talk about what really?" Jimin chuckled bitterly. "We were only friends with benefits at best," he shrugged looking away. "I was the stupid one to catch feelings apparently, while he simply walked away. Let's leave it right there."
Taehyung never said another word about Yoongi in front of his friend. He swore to never say about the pup's fatherhood not even to Jungkook, who was currently dating him. And Jimin was sure that his best friend was going to keep his word.
When he was left alone again, Jimin snuggled in his nest, dressed in one of the oversized hoodie that Yoongi had forgotten at his place. The alpha's scent was completely gone from it... just like Yoongi was completely out of Jimin's life.

A/N - Not gonna torture you and ask you if you enjoyed the update, because it was a pure angst, but... gonna promise a very happy ending. <3

It's pretty bad... at the beginning. Jimin had to balance his life between his life in university and his newfound pregnancy. The omega was still firm on his decision to do everything on his own. So, he also started working, which was something that exhausted him completely.
There were some nights when he couldn't even sleep. He just kept tossing and turning around in his bed. When the morning came, the morning sickness would remind him once again that he was all alone but at the same time - he wasn't.
He also started giving private lessons and he quickly became popular amongst the parents, whose students were freshmen. Jimin was known for his best quality of teaching, which wasn't surprising, because he was studying to become a teacher.
When the morning sickness disappeared around the fourth month, Jimin felt how the energy was slowly coming back to him. When he went to the hospital for his next check-up, he was even able to find out the gender of his pup.
"It's a girl," the beta doctor told him. "She doing just fine and developing nicely. I want you to laid back a little, Jimin-ssi. I can also see that your blood pressure is higher than what I'd like."
"I'll do my best, Dr. Kim," Jimin smiled to the woman, who had done everything possible to make him keep his precious pup.

When he entered his fifth month, Jimin found out that Jungkook had suddenly left Seoul without announcing anything previously.
When he asked Taehyung, the younger had simply shrugged it off, telling him that they simply decided to break it off.

"But why? All of a sudden?" Jimin was staring at his friend with disbelief.

"I suggested we have an open relationship and he didn't agree," Tae said.
"An open relationship?" Jimin chuckled with disbelief. "Tae... I thought you knew your lov-- ok, now ex. At least I thought you two talk."

"We did, why?" The other omega frowned.

"Never mind," Jimin waved his hand. "If Koo wanted to tell you something, he would've."
Taehyung looked like he wanted to say something else, but stayed mum. Later the same week, Jimin decided to tell Hoseok about his pregnancy. When the beta asked him who was the father, Jimin answered that it was a random one night stand.

"Four months ago?" Hoseok stared at him.
"Mhm," Jimin faked a smile. "You know what can happen if you drink too much and end up in a club full of horny alphas," he even chuckled.

"Yeah," the beta trailed off, "I think I know. So what is going to happen with your studying?"
"Nothing," the omega was thankful that Hoseok had let everything go so easily. "It still goes according to plan. I'll just postpone few of my exams for after the pup is born. She's expected to arrive around May," Jimin smiled for real this time.
"It's a she?" Hoseok couldn't stop the light squeal in his voice and Jimin chuckled good-heartedly. "She's gonna be such a cute little thing, Jimin-ah..."

The omega rubbed his stomach. "I'm sure she will, hyung. I'm sure she will."
Jimin went back home for Christmas and decided to stay the New Year as well. It's when he told his family about the pup he was carrying. They weren't happy at first, at least his alpha father. His eomma burst into tears and his brother only asked about the father.
Overall, when the emotions died down, the reaction was a bit better than the one he had expected. When they found out that Jimin wanted to take care of his pup alone, they offered their help. But Jimin knew that his family had to also take care of his brother, who was yet-
-to start his university years. They had to save, so he thanked them all, but refused the help. When his mother insisted, Jimin reluctantly agree to a small help, only when he made sure that the family wouldn't suffer too much from it.
He came back to Seoul with a lighter heart and intention to put his new life into work. When he entered his fifth month, everything looked just nice and fine around him. He was glowing and he was forcing himself not to think about the person, who'd only made him cry.
Even if he had some hopes that Yoongi would send him that letter, they were slowly crushed down after days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months.

Everybody around him started to move on, so he did his best to do the same.
He couldn't live stuck in the past all the time. He had to make sure that he was having his life in order, just like he wanted to do since the very beginning.

It was raining that day, Jimin vividly remembered it. He had forgotten his umbrella once more.
He was about to cross a street when his phone buzzed in his pocket. Jimin started walking, while pulling his phone out of his jacket and halted on his steps for a moment.

March 9th... Yoongi's birthday!
The omega had forgotten to stop the alarm for that. Then everything happened in a hurry. He heard screech of the tires first and after that his body basically flew in the air before landing heavily on the pavement. His last thoughts were about his unborn pup.
When he opened his eyes again, Jimin found himself in the hospital surrounded by all kinds of machinery. The omega looked around himself. His mind completely fuzzy and his body in pain. He was checked by a doctor and few nurses came after that as well.
"My pup?" The omega suddenly remembered and reached out to touch his belly, but his eyes widened when he found nothing left from his seven month's protuberance where it was supposed to be. "My pup!" Jimin screamed in the room.
"Jimin-ah, hey! Hey!" Hoseok's voice was coming to him as if from a large tunnel. "Calm down, Jimin-ah!" Jimin couldn't paste himself though. His eyes filled with tears. "Jimin-ah, your pup is alive, calm down, ok?"
"You're lying," fear clenched the heart of the sobbing omega. "She's... she..."

"Your friend is not lying to you, Jimin-ssi," suddenly Jimin's doctor appeared in the room. "She is alive in the NICU. We had to perform a C-section, because you bled really heavily."
"I want to see her," the omega sobbed. "I want to see her, please!"

"Soon," the beta doctor calmed him with a smile. "She also needs time for rest, because the delivery was quite stressful for her. Her little lungs are going to need an extra help for now, but she's doing ok."
When Jimin finally managed to see her, he burst into tears again. They let him touch her only inside of her incubator. She couldn't be taken out of it.

"Did you think of a name?" Taehyung asked him once Jimin was pulled outside of the NICU.
"Yeri," Jimin mumbled and looked down at his clasped hands. "Park Yeri."

"It's such a beautiful name Jimin-ah," Hoseok smiled. "Just wait for the others to learn about her."

"Better not," the omega shook his head. "Let's leave it like that."
"You... don't want our friends to know about your daughter?" Hoseok looked confused.

Jimin shook his head. "No, I don't want them to know. If they come back to Seoul one day... then maybe. But I can't see a reason why they should know now. What's that going to change?"
Both Taehyung and Hoseok didn't argue with the tired omega. Instead, they stood by him since the moment the little Yeri arrived to this cruel word.

Jimin graduated little before his daughter would turn two. She was in the audience, along with his parents, Taehyung and Hoseok.
Jimin's mother was holding her in her lap, while Yeri was clapping excitedly when they announced Jimin's name.

"Look," Jimin could read his mother's lips from the stage, "this is your amma over there!" To which Yeri would clap even more excitedly.
A few moths after that, Jimin landed his official job as an English teacher. It was to a small school in his neighborhood and close to Yeri's kindergarten. Jimin slowly started to embrace his life as a single father and a teacher.
He had somehow put his life back in order, without having an alpha beside him. Even if his friends insisted that he should at least try and date.

"No," Jimin would answer firmly every time. "I don't have a time for an alpha in my life. "
"But you deserve to be happy Jimin-ah..." Taehyung would always insist. "Stop living in the past."

"I'm not living there anymore, Tae," Jimin could shrug. "I can assure you that my three years old daughter is enough proof of that."
And he was telling the truth. Jimin could barely remember Yoongi's face now. Three years had passed in a blink of the eye. While he was busy working and taking care of his pup, everything was going almost smoothly in his life. He didn't need complications.
"Amma?" Yeri asked him one day after she came back from kindergarten. "Do I have an appa?"

"What?" Jimin almost dropped his daughter's jacket from his hands. "Why are you asking, little sunshine?"
"Hajoon has amma and appa," Yeri started explaining, while Jimin was leading her to the bathroom to wash her hands. "Jisoo has eomma and appa. Do I have an appa too, amma?"

"Of course you do," Jimin tried to smile, while helping his daughter to wash her hands.
"Oh," the pup looked confused for a moment. "But... where is he? Why is he not with us?"

"He's... he left to follow his dreams, puppy," Jimin ruffled her hair lovingly.

"But--"

"How about we watch "The Little Mermaid" tonight, hm?" He tried to distract her.
"After dinner?" The pup grinned and Jimin sighed with relief.

"After dinner," he greed.

"Yay!" The pup cheered and the omega smiled involuntary. "Can I also eat some tangerines tonight, amma?" The four year old asked.
"Of course you can baby," Jimin sighed and watched how his daughter dashed to her room. His smile slowly died down. "How can I tell you that your appa doesn't even know that you exist my little one?" He hummed with a slight feeling of guilt. "How..?"
Jimin didn't hear his daughter asking about her appa for the next year, well... she did try few times, just vaguely, but Jimin managed to dodge the questions somehow.

When Yeri turned five, she became even more curious though. She started asking more and more about her appa.
"I wanna be like the other pups," she had pouted heavily one evening. "I wanna have appa as well!"

"Yeri please," Jimin sighed tiredly, rubbing his forehead. "I told you that your appa can't be with us, ok?"

"But why?" The pup looked ready to throw a tantrum.
"Yeri, please!" Jimin snapped, feeling the beginning of a headache staring behind his eyeballs.

"Why? I wanna know!" Yeri stomped her foot.

"That's it!" Jimin rose his voice up a bit. "Go to your room!"
"But--"

"Go!" Jimin pointed at the door of their small kitchen.

"Only Yoonie-samchon understands me," the pup grumbled while walking away...

Yoonie... why did that name sounded so familiar?

A/N - Given the events from today, I almost didn't update. But YM is always been my happy place so...
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
When Yoongi left that faithful morning, he never thought that he was going to leave a part of his heart behind. He was happy... supposed to be happy. But the memory of Jimin's lips pressed to his ones were chasing him even in his dreams.
He was young and naïve maybe. Love was never in the alpha's plans for the future. He wanted to dedicate himself to his work and helping people. In his case, helping children. So, when he landed in Africa that day, he decided to leave his past behind.
There was a car, well more like an ancient looking van that was waiting for him outside the airport. It was supposed to take him to the tribe where Yoongi was supposed to start his foreign career to help children in need.
It was... not what he thought that it would be. The tribe was different than the outside world. The place was basically in the middle of the desert and there was no life outside of it for kilometers away. But Yoongi loved working with the pups there.
He had studied a bit about this tribe's culture back at Seoul, while he was deciding where he should go first. He knew few words and he was a fast learner when it comes learning new languages. The alpha already knew English and Japanese.
This tribe's language was a challenge, but it was nothing that Yoongi couldn't do. He fell sick the first time he started writing that letter to Jimin. Honestly, Yoongi didn't know what to say. He didn't even know if the omega was still his friend.
His heart pained that day and the alpha couldn't figure out why. But he didn't have time to think about it that much, because he fell sick the same evening. Some weird fever had left him with almost no powers at all. He needed some time to recover.
"I think you'll live," Leila, a nice female omega doctor was taking care of him. Her father was from that tribe, while her mother was Korean. Leila was the reason why Yoongi and the others like him were sent to that mission.
"You think?" The alpha groaned and sat up on his makeshift bed. "Then it must be true. How many days I was out of it?"

"Three," Leila smiled softly. "But don't worry too much. The pups are still here. They kept asking about you."
"Good to know," Yoongi smiled and somehow managed to get out from the bed.

Leila tried to convince him to keep the bed few more days, but Yoongi refused. He was eager to get back to his work. The pups needed him, his guidance. He had to be there for them.
The second time he tried writing a letter to Jimin was almost five months since they saw each other for the last time. He was sitting alone in his tent, staring at nothing and thinking what he should write to Jimin now.
He wondered where the omega was now? How was he doing? Had he finally decided to find an alpha for himself? Yoongi didn't know why, but his chest clenched with the mere thought of it. He frowned slightly, not knowing what this thing kept happening to him.
"Yoongi?" Leila showed her face through the tent. "The chief wants to see you for the ceremony that night. Are you ready to go?"

"I..." Yoongi hesitated, looking down at the blank piece of paper. Then he sighed tiredly and got up. "I'm ready," he smiled.
Leila liked him and it was more than a friendly way. Yoongi found out a year into his stay at the tribe. He could tell by the omega scent, but the most affirming signal to him was how she suggested to spend his rut with him.
"I can't ask that from you," Yoongi shook his head. "I can deal with it alone, or I'll simply take the next van to the city and buy some suppressants."

"You rather than than spend it with me?" The omega lowered her voice.
It should've worked on the instinctual level and in any other situation, Yoongi would've been more than happy to accept the help. After all, it was supposed to be just sex, right?

"Listen, Leila--"
"Let me try something!" She said in a hurry and before he knew it, she was kissing him. It felt... well, nice? But also weird and wrong in some awkward way.

"What are you doing?" He panted while pushing her away.
"I-I'm sorry... I..." she cupped her mouth and her eyes widened. "I... I simply wanted to--"

"I'll take the next van to the city!" The alpha snapped and then pushed his way out of the tent. The next thing he knew was how he was washing his mouth.
Why he felt like this? What was wrong with him? He was single. He wasn't dating anyone and the last person who had kissed him was Jimin. Jimin! Yoongi clutched his chest again. He breathed harshly, staring at the mirror hang over his makeshift sink in his tent.
Maybe he should stop thinking about Jimin. The omega was probably living his life right now. He had one more year before graduation. Yoongi was sure that he was going to be the first in his class. Jimin was.. he was..

"Stop!" The alpha hissed, punching the mirror.
From that day on, he forbid himself to think about the omega. He dug himself deep into his work, dedicating himself to the pups who needed him. That was everything that he wanted to do.

When his mission ended that same year, Yoongi moved to another place in Africa.
And he kept doing it for the next four years. Not stopping, not developing connections, always moving. The only thing that was left the same in him, was the love that he had for the pups that he helped. He made a name for himself.
He was in Dodoma, the capital city of Tanzania when he received a phone call.

"I was hoping I could find you in between jobs," the manager of the organization that he was working for chuckled. "Listen Yoongi, there is job proposition for you."
"Where to now?" The alpha sat up in his bed and looked to the window. "I'm ready to go wherever you say, Jiwoo-nim!"

The beta chuckled once more. "Actually, how do you feel of coming back home?"
"Home?" Yoongi trailed off. Where was his home now? Did he have one even?

"Yeah," Jiwoo kept talking. "You've made a career back there. We recommended you to this school here, in Seoul. They are running a new program with their kindergarten students."
"Oh?" Yoongi's interest rose up. "Tell me more about it..."

Jiwoo kept talking and finally, Yoongi was convinced that maybe it wasn't so bad for him to go back to Seoul. The program sounded interesting and it was something that interested Yoongi very much.
"What should I tell them?" Jiwoo asked when he finished talking. "Should I tell them that you are available, or..?"

"Yes," the alpha's answer was immediate. "I'll need some period to fix my schedule."
"They are willing to wait for as long as you need, Yoongi," Jiwoo assured him. "How about I tell them that you agree and give them your phone number?"

"Sounds great," the alpha agreed and soon after that he hang up feeling a bit better than before.
It wasn't like he was going to miss Africa that much. Sure, he loved his work here... but at the same time he couldn't stand the constant heat. It was a challenge for him and now, Yoongi was simply happy that it had ended.
When he landed in Seoul after five years of absence, it was raining. Nobody was waiting for him there. Nobody even knew that he was back and Yoongi wasn't even sure if his old friends had the same numbers as they did in the past.
Once he crossed the terminal, he was caught with the memories of what had happened in the same place five years ago. The tears in the eyes of that precious omega. The confusion Yoongi had read there and how empty he felt when he turned his back to Jimin and headed for his flight.
Yoongi shook his head and fastened his steps. He took a cab to the hotel that he was going to stay, while he was waiting for his apartment to get ready for his moving in.

The school had actually sent him few recommendations for a proper accommodation.
Saving his money, which were a lot and the fact that he hadn't actually had the place where to spend them, proved to be something good when you want to buy a place for living.
Yoongi chose a small family apartment - two bedrooms and an office area. Nice living room, a kitchen area and joined living room in an open space. The alpha had fallen in love with the place as soon as they had sent him the offer.
He had to wait few more days in his hotel for it to be ready for him though. The place needed a bit of refreshing and Yoongi didn't mind to wait a bit more.

His first day at work felt nice. It was a good change to be surrounded by people, who spoke your language.
He wasn't assigned any pups, mostly because they weren't that problematic. The meaning of this program was to make every pup to feel good about himself and understand better the environment around himself.

Yoongi quickly learned their stories. It wasn't that hard.
But... there was this pup, who was a bit different than the others. She was a bit too shy for her own good. She didn't look like she was having much friends. She also preferred to play alone, or with two or three more pups. By the look of it, she got easily tired about-
-communicating with others. Yoongi found some resemblance with himself in her.

"What's her name?" He pointed at the pup, who was sitting alone by the swings.

"Ah, Yeri," her teacher smiled. "Park Yeri."
"Do you know her story?" Yoongi found himself asking.

"Well," the nice beta teacher smiled once more. "She's a pup with only one parent. She has her omega father raising her alone. Yeri is also a bit of a loner."
"I've noticed," Yoongi nodded slowly. "Do you know why?"

"She's just like this," the teacher shrugged. "She's always been like this."

"Can I see her after lunch?" Yoongi insisted. "Maybe there's a problem that we don't know yet."
"Of course Yoongi-ssi," the teacher nodded. "I'll send her to you."

When Yeri walked inside of his sorta office, Yoongi couldn't stop the smile on his face. She was looking strangely familiar with her chubby cheeks and almond eyes. Her nose was weirdly looking like his own one.
"Hello Yeri," Yoongi knelt down to be on her level. "My name is Yoongi. It's nice to meet you."

"Yoonie-samchon," the pup nodded seriously. "I know you. My friends said that you're nice."
"Oh?" Yoongi smiled. "It's so nice to know that."

They kept talking and Yoongi didn't feel how the time went by. The pup's teacher knocked on his door when it was time for her to go.

"Her parent is here," the teacher smiled.
"See you tomorrow, Yoonie-samchon?" The pup looked at him with hope and that warmed the alpha's heart.

"See you tomorrow, Yeri," Yoongi nodded and watched the pup leave.
But he had other pups to work on the next day, but he still found a way to talk to her anyhow.

"They mock me, 'cuz I don't have an appa," Yeri finally mumbled as to why she preferred to stay alone.

"They?" Yoongi asked. "The other pups?"
"Yes," the pup nodded. "But... it's not my fault, right?" The look that she had in her eyes touched something inside alpha's chest.

"Of course it's not your fault, Yeri-yah," Yoongi assured her. "Why don't you ask your amma? I've heard you have an amma, right?"
"Yes," the pup nodded once more. "But... he never really talks about my appa. I'm scared to ask."

"You shouldn't be, Yeri," Yoongi smiled warmly. "Don't be scared, ok?"

"Ok," the pup smiled and as if the sun had peaked from behind the clouds for Yoongi.
He kept working with her and the other pups, but now when he knew what was the case, Yoongi really wanted to help. He couldn't tell why he felt so drawn to that pup in particular.

"I want to talk to her parent," he said one day to Yeri's teacher.
"Of course," the beta nodded.

"Can you give me his name and number, please?" The alpha asked and pulled out his phone.

"Sure thing," the teacher nodded. "His name is Park Jimin and the number is--"

Yoongi almost dropped his phone onto the ground. What a coincidence? Right?
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
It was Saturday on the next day and it was probably nice that Yoongi didn't have to go to work. He couldn't focus over anything else, rather than the name of that pup.

Park Jimin...

Could it be? The piece of paper with that number was still in his pocket.
Yoongi hadn't changed his phone, or his number ever since he had left Seoul back in the days. There was something in him that was too afraid to dial the numbers and see that he had that number all along. Could it be possible? Park Jimin... a parent?
A single parent, if the alpha remembered the words of Yeri's teacher correctly. So... what now? Maybe he had found another alpha? But... if he had done that, it must've happened around the time Yoongi had left for Africa.
He couldn't remember if he had read Yeri's file that well to see the date of her birth. Yes, she was five... but why it was suddenly so important to him to know the month? Yoongi frowned and decided that a short walk should clear his head.
His phone buzzed around the time he decided to stop for a short break at one of the parks along the Han River.

"Hello?" He called unsure, too absent to see the name over the screen.

"Yoongi-hyung!" Namjoon's voice brought a smile to his face. "You have the same number!"
"I haven't changed it all," the alpha chuckled. "How have you been? Are you still in Tokyo?"

"That's why I'm calling," his friend said. "Jinnie and I are coming back to Seoul, so I was wondering where in the world are you?"
"You are... coming back?" Yoongi wasn't honestly surprised. Ever since his friend told him about taking that adventure and living in Tokyo for a while, the alpha was sure that his friends would return some day. "This is funny..."
"But hyung--"

"I've been back in Seoul since few months ago," Yoongi admitted. "You should give me a call wherever you're back, ok?"

"This is amazing! Faith, huh?" His friend laughed it off. "We'll be back by the end of the next week, hyung. I'll call you then."
"Sure thing, Joonie," Yoongi chuckled and hung up the phone soon after.

He had to admit that this call made him feel a bit better. The alpha hadn't seen his friends since a long while. He never wasted his time of creating new friendships while he was in Africa.
Why doing it, when he knew that they wouldn't last more than few months? He had left his friends behind once he left Seoul five years ago. He wondered where the others were now... maybe he should try and find them?
But being social was never his strong side. He knew himself well-enough to be sure of that. Everything would happen with time, eventually. The alpha sighed and decided to head back home. He had few more boxes to open, besides he still had to fix the shelves of his library.
That basically took all of his time from the weekend and he was perfectly happy to take some break from the social life around him. He remembered that he had to give a call to Yeri's parent, when that crumbled piece of paper fell out of his pocket late that Sunday.
It happened right after he decided to finish with the remained laundry. Thankfully, he had a washing machine in his apartment, along with a clothes dryer. Now he could find it useful, after spending so many years without both of it.
Yoongi sat back in his kitchen, after loading the rest of his laundry. A glass of whiskey between his hands and that piece of paper in front of him. He stared at it, afraid of what it might happen if he dialed that damned number.
He decided to leave it for the next day, refusing to call himself a coward, but knowing full well that he was such one.

"I asked amma again," Yeri told him on the next day.

"About your appa?" Yoongi asked softly and the pup nodded. "And?"
Yeri pouted, focusing over her drawing. "He got upset and... he sent me away. I didn't ask more."

Yoongi frowned, watching how the pup was drawing her picture over the small table in his work office. It was especially made for the pups to feel comfortable around him.
"Then maybe you should stop asking him for a while, Yeri-yah?" The alpha focused over the softness of his voice. "Don't you love your amma?"

"I do," the pup sighed. "I love him very much! But... I don't want to be different."
Yoongi took a deep breath and release it slowly. This case shouldn't influence him that much. What if the pup's conception had caused trauma to Yeri's parent? What if... it wasn't something he willingly participated in? The alpha felt so confused all of a sudden.
Whomever her parent was, Yoongi really hoped that nothing violent had happened to that omega. No omega deserved to be threated in such way. Yoongi had dealt with such cases in his short career. But usually the single omega parents were very distant with their pups, if they-
-were conceived in a violent way. But he knew for sure how close Yeri and her amma were. The pup couldn't stop talking about him. That single omega parent in particular didn't fall into category of r@ped omegas. Yoongi could only hope that he, at least knew Yeri's father.
"They came for Yeri," the pup's teacher knocked on the door and showed her face there. "We should get her ready to leave."

"Amma's here?" The pup squealed and jumped from her place, but just before she could go to her teacher, she gave her drawing to Yoongi.
"This is for me?" Yoongi took it with a soft smile over his face.

"It's for you, Yoonie-samchon," she pointed at the figures there. "This is me and amma," Yeri grinned.

When Yoongi looked down, he noticed that the stick figure that was representing Yeri's amma-
-was wearing a black line over the face. He pointed at it before the pup was able to leave with her teacher.

"What is this Yeri-yah?" He asked nicely.

"Oh," the pup frowned. "It's the scar amma has on his face," she pouted for a moment. "But he is beautiful!"
Yoongi chuckled at her fierce defense. "Of course he is, I am sure he is, little one. See you tomorrow, ok?"

"Ok," the pup grinned and waved her hand at him, while walking away.

Yoongi sighed and turned around to place the small drawing over his desk.
He didn't know what made him look to the window few moments later. His office was on the second floor and with a clear view to the gates.

Just then he spotted a male figure there, probably a parent waiting for their pup.
Initially the male was with his back towards the window, but then he turned around, probably because he got called by someone. A smile bloomed over his face, while Yoongi's blood ran cold in his veins.
He knew that smile all too well. He knew the man, who was now crouching down onto the ground to meet the running pup towards him.

Jimin wrapped his arms around the little girl, as soon as Yeri was in close proximity to him.
Then he picked her up and carried her to the car, parked near the gates. Yoongi watched with clenched heart how the omega placed Yeri back onto the ground and opened the back door of the car for her. Then he waited for her to get up and took his place behind the wheel.
The car drove off, with Yoongi still staring outside. He suddenly felt sick and called Yeri's teacher to ask her about the pup's file. Yoongi was the child's psychologist of this institution and he had the access of such information.
His hands shook while he skimmed over Yeri's file.

/Date of birth/: March 9th

His vision blurred and he had to rub his eyes few times. Then he took a deep breath and scrolled down once more.

/Omega parent/: Park Jimin
His heartbeat fastened.

/Alpha parent/: Unknown

Unknown? Unknown!!! What was that supposed to mean? He didn't know what to think anymore. His hands reached out to rub his temples, while he was desperately tried to think.
What had happened to Park Jimin five years ago? Why Yeri was born on March 9th? How was that possible? He suddenly felt bad taste in his mouth. Was he sleeping with other alpha, while they were still friends with benefits, because he was sure that... Wait!
He couldn't even remember the last time he and Jimin slept together. Was it... before he left? Yes! But when? He suddenly groaned because of the intensifying headache. The alpha closed his work laptop fast and reached out for his jacket. He had to get out of there and fast!
He couldn't go back to work on the following day and the one after it. Yoongi had received one of his migraine crisis, now regular if he was under a lot of stress.

When he finally went back to work, it was Thursday and he still didn't know what to think.
"Yoonie-samchon!" Yeri squealed as soon as she walked into his office. She ran to him without a warning and threw herself in the alpha's arms. "I've missed you!"

"Thank you Yeri," the alpha smiled, but couldn't help to sniff the pup's hair beforehand.
Tangerines... mixed with her still sweet powdery scent. It was the scent of her omega father. It was the scent that Yoongi had missed all this time, without even knowing it.

She smelled of her omega parent - Park Jimin.
The pup got busy with her pencils and new drawings. She started telling him about how two of the pups from her group finally accepted to be her friends, even if she was different.

Yoongi tried to focus over that thought and what was happening around him right now.
And right now, he had to convince this pup that she wasn't different, just because she didn't have an appa in her life. He didn't know how much his words worked over her, but when her teacher came to pick her up later on, Yeri was in a better mood.
"Wait!" He heard himself saying before he could help it. "How about I take her to her amma instead? I can finally meet him then."

"Sounds good," the teacher agreed. "Let me just dress her up, yeah?"
Yoongi followed the both of them and waited outside Yeri's group room for her to be ready. The teacher led her out and bid her goodbye. Then the pup reached out for his hand.

"Your amma is here to pick you up, hm?" Yoongi tried to sound normal, while the two walked out of the-
-building.

"Uh-huh," the pup nodded with a grin and pointed ahead. "Here he is!" Jimin was indeed standing outside the gates with his back turned towards them. "Amma!" Once the pup squealed though, the omega turned around.
The smile that bloomed over his face soon disappeared in the moment his eyes met Yoongi's ones.

"Amma!" Yeri ran to him. "Amma, look! This is Yoonie-samchon!" She giggled excitedly, while the two elders just kept staring at each other.

Next update, let me hear your thoughts:
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Never in his life Jimin felt the urge to run more present than this very moment. The only thing that was grounding him to his place right now was his daughter, who was holding his hand. He didn't know what to say or do with Yoongi suddenly being there, right in front of him.
"Jimin-ah?" Yoongi's raspy voice brought chills down his spine. But he couldn't deal with it. Not right now. He wasn't ready.

"I have to go," the omega said in a rush and turned around, basically running to his car and dragging his daughter with him.
"Jimin-ah, wait!" He heard Yoongi's voice calling after him. But he refused to turn around and look at him. His hands were trembling while he was helping his daughter to climb into the car and take her car seat. "Jimin-ah, please! We have to--"
"No!" The omega refused to turn around. Even if he could basically hear how Yoongi was begging him. "No! Leave me alone!" Then he simply got into the car and drove off.

"Amma?" Yeri's voice was filled with panic when she called him. "Amma? You ok?"
"I'm ok baby," Jimin looked at the rear-view mirror. He even tried to smile. "It's just... it's getting late, ok? We have to be home on time."

"Ok," the pup didn't sound convinced but she let it slide. Then she spoke again. "You not angry at Yoonnie-samchon, right?"
"Wh-why should I be angry baby?" The omega tried to control his voice. "Of course I'm not."

"Good," Yeri seemed to relax. "He's been my only friend there. I don't wanna lose him."

Something clenched the omega's heart. "Your only friend?"
"Hajoonie and Jisoo said that I can't play with them anymore," the pup looked down at her hands. "They said I'm not like them, so I can't play."

"Not like them?" Suddenly Yoongi was forgotten for a moment. "Did they tell you Yeri baby?"
The pup shrugged with sad expression over her face. "I don't have an appa," she sighed and grabbed her plushie that Jimin was always keeping the car for her. She hugged it close to her chest. "So now, I can only talk to Yoonie-samchon."
Jimin clenched his jaw. "Did you tell this to your teacher?"

"Yes," Yeri nodded. "She tried to talk to them, but they don't want me," the pup looked so sad that Jimin wanted to cry.

"Oh baby... you're not different, ok? You also have an appa," Jimin sighed. Only if she knew.
Yeri shook her head though. "I don't," she refused to look at Jimin though. "Hajoonie and Jisoo appas are living with them at home. I don't have an appa. But Yoonie-samchon told me not to ask you anymore. He says it can hurt you. Am I hurting you, amma?"
Jimin felt the desperate need to hug his pup, but he had to focus on the road, at least for now. He took a deep breath instead and looked at the rearview mirror.

"Never," he simply said and this time Yeri looked at him through the mirror. "Do you hear me baby? You can never-
-hurt your amma! What do you want to do when we go back home, hm? How about we have pancakes for dinner? Then we can watch "Cinderella". How's that sound?"

"Can we cuddle and eat tangerines too?" The pup started smiling and Jimin suddenly felt lighter.
"Of course we can baby," he smiled as well and focused over the road once more.

Luckily, the traffic wasn't that bad and they managed to get back home in a reasonable time. He helped his daughter out of the car. Yeri kept babbling on their way up to their apartment.
Jimin let his daughter's presence soothe his nerves, at least to a certain point. He managed not to think about his meeting with Yoongi while they were having dinner and then cleaning the table together. But once the cartoon started and Yeri relaxed on the sofa with her head-
-resting over his lap, Jimin's thoughts suddenly started to wander. He never thought that he could cross paths with Yoongi again. Never in a millions of years he thought that he would see the alpha standing right in front of him.
Yoongi looked the same, although a bit older, mature maybe. Jimin didn't have the time to stare openly at his face. His hands slid through Yeri's curly black hair and he looked down, just to see how his pup was immersed with the characters from the cartoon playing on the TV.
Her face was a nice mix between his and Yoongi's ones. She had the alpha's eyes and nose, but Jimin's lips and cheeks. The hair was from Yoongi as well. The shape of her face was the alpha's also. Jimin wondered if Yoongi had somehow picked up the resemblance.
The omega rested back on the sofa with a quiet sigh. Yeri looked up to him and Jimin gave her a small smile to reassure her that everything was ok. Once she looked back to the TV, his smile died down. What was he supposed to do now?
He asked Taehyung to take Yeri to and from school on the next day. Maybe he acted as a coward, but he wasn't ready to meet Yoongi once again. He needed some time to think. When Taehyung arrived back to his apartment with the little pup that same day, Jimin could tell that-
-the omega had met Yoongi as well.

"Why didn't you tell me that Yoongi-hyung is there?" His friend asked as soon as Yeri disappeared in her room.

"I found out yesterday," Jimin admitted with a tired sigh. "I-I ran before he's able to ask anything."
"You ran?" Taehyung blinked and sat down in one of the kitchen chairs. Jimin was cooking dinner, while talking with his best friend. He was almost ready. "Why?"

"Why?" Jimin threw a look over his shoulder. "Do you really have to ask me why?"
He saw how Taehyung rolled his eyes with his words. Then he looked back to his cooking, but the omega hadn't finished.

"You can't keep running forever, Chim," he said simply and that strangely irked the older omega.
"It sounds strange coming from you," Jimin said quietly, but enough for Taehyung to hear him.

"If it's about Kook again, for the last time Chim - he was the one who ran away from me. Not the other way around!"

Jimin sighed. "I don't want us to argue again."
"I don't want us to argue either, but we're going to keep doing it if you don't stop with this bullshit!" Taehyung snapped, but then Jimin heard him taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry."

"Me too," the elder omega said and turned off the stove, removing the meal form it.
"But... you should really talk to Yoongi-hyung," Taehyung told him, once Jimin sat down as well. The omega threw a look to the open door and then back to his friend.

"And what should I tell him, Tae? Hello! Do you remember me? We were friends once and I have your daughter."
His friend rolled his eyes again. "You could start with that, yeah."

"Be serious, please?" Jimin groaned. "I really don't know what to say to him."

"Maybe you should try and think of something, instead of running?" Taehyung suggested.
"Maybe," Jimin sighed and lowered his look to his clasped hands, resting over the table. "I just... I guess I'm scared Tae."

"I can guess, but..." his friend reached out and squeezed his hands lightly. "You should think or Yeri too here."
"I know," Jimin mumbled, remembering what the pup had told him about her friends at school... or the lack of them.

"You have this weekend to think about, yeah?" His friend said it encouragingly. "But you have to think of something, yeah?"
He received and unexpected call later than evening, just right after Taehyung had left his apartment and Yeri was put to sleep.

"Jin-hyung?" Jimin gasped when he heard the voice of his long lost friend. "It's been ages!"
"I know," the omega chuckled good naturally. "Actually, I called to tell you that Joonie and I are back in Seoul. Do you wanna meet up sometime?"

"Sounds amazing hyung!" Jimin grinned.

"Good," the elder omega answered from the other side of the phone. "See you then!"
It almost felt like everybody were coming back home in a way, Jimin thought. No one knew where Jungkook was though. He had lost his tracks once the maknae moved back to Busan five years ago.
Jimin could only hope that his friend was ok, suddenly feeling guilty that he hadn't even tried to reach out to him. Even if he hadn't kept contact with his other friends, at least he knew where they were. He didn't know a thing about Jungkook.
Then another thought passed through his head. Both Namjoon and Seokjin didn't know he had a pup. And... he had told Hoseok that Yeri's father was some random alpha. His blood ran cold. What if Yoongi was to speak to Hoseok before Jimin was able to speak to him?
The omega couldn't sleep that night. He was curled up in his nest and simply staring at the darkness. His thoughts were all messed up and his heart was hurting. The omega could even feel his inner wolf suffering, which was strange.
He hadn't felt that way since the moment he decided to forget about Yoongi and move on with his life. His inner wolf couldn't agree with him back then as well.

Jimin sighed and closed his eyes, hoping that the sleep would eventually come. It didn't happen.
When the morning came, he realized that he wasn't able to sleep the whole night. The omega sighed tiredly and got up from the bed. Tired or not, he had a pup to take care. He had promised Yeri to take her to the amusement park that day and he had to do it for her.
The pup had fun and that was all Jimin wanted. It didn't matter that he felt on the verge of his powers when they finally got back home. Spending the weekend together was something as a tradition to the both of them and they both enjoyed it fully.
When Jimin closed his eyes that night, he was hunted by dreams of Yoongi that very last day at the airport. In his dreams, Jimin was still watching him walking away.

He woke up with a sob, clutching the cover between his hands. His chest hurt and the omega couldn't-
-lie to himself, not anymore.

He only thought that he had forgotten everything about the alpha. He had lied to himself all this time, but now when Yoongi was back in their lives, Jimin couldn't live in that lie anymore. But that didn't change the fact that Yoongi was-
-a stranger for him now. He was someone Jimin used to know once and nothing else. The omega took a deep breath and looked at the window. The sun was rising and it was time for him to start his day.

Sunday passed in a blur and the Monday came once more.
This time Jimin was the one to send Yeri to school. He hoped not to meet the alpha so early in the morning. The omega wasn't sure how he was going to pass through the day if that were about to happen.

Luckily, only Yeri's teacher was there.
Jimin quickly bid his goodbye and travelled to his own work. The school he was working was in a different neighborhood. It was close to his daughter's one luckily though. Once he started his work day there though, every other thoughts were pushed aside.
It was suddenly time for him to go and pick up his daughter. Jimin took a deep breath once he got into his car and drove off to Yeri's kindergarten.

Once there, he stopped in front of the gates and asked the security to call for him.
When Yeri walked out of the building, she wasn't alone. But this time, Jimin wasn't surprised when he saw the person who was holding her hand. Yoongi looked different that day also. Once their eyes met, Jimin could see the confusion written there.
Jimin clenched his fists close to his body and forced himself not to give to his wish to run again. Taehyung was right. He should stop running.

"Amma!" Yeri dashed to him once the gates opened in front of her. Jimin took her in his arms right away.
"Hey baby," the omega ruffled her hair and put her back down. "Did you have a good day today?"

"Jisoo let me color her book once Yoonie-samchon talked to her," the pup grinned. "She wants me to be her friend now!"
"Is that right?" Jimin felt something clenching his throat, but smiled to his pup. "That sounds amazing baby. Why don't you wait for me in the car, hm?"

"Oki," she then turned around to wave. "Bye-bye Yoonie-samchon!"
"Goodbye, Yeri-yah..." the alpha said with a soft smile. Then his eyes moved to Jimin, once the pup got into the car. "Jimin-ah..."

"I know... we-we have to talk," the omega tried really hard to keep his presence in front of the alpha.
"I just... " Yoongi sighed nervously. "I-I have so many questions and I--"

"Are you free for dinner?" Jimin heard himself asking all of a sudden. "Today?"
"I... yes, I am," the alpha nodded. "Why?"

"Give me your phone before I change my mind," Jimin uttered quickly. The alpha was fast to retrieve his phone from his back pocket and hand it to Jimin. "This is my address," the omega typed as soon as he opened the alpha's phone-
-"You can come tonight if... you want to," he said and placed the phone back to Yoongi's hand. "Just... yeah, we can talk or... whatever," then he simply turned around to walk to his car.

"Jimin-ah?" The alpha called him and Jimin halted on his steps. "I'll be there."
"Ok hyung," the omega simply nodded and got into his car. His hand shook when he placed them over the wheel.

He hoped he was doing the right thing... even if he was feeling the need run once more.
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Jimin drove off after his encounter with Yoongi. His eyes stopped over the rearview mirror for a brief moment, just to notice that the alpha was still standing there and watching after the car. The omega took a deep breath and tried to calm his fast beating heart.
"Hey Yeri-yah, how about I tell you something," the omega was careful with his next words. "I invited your Yoonie-samchon to spend his dinner with us."

"Did he say yes?" Yeri was already excited.

"He did," Jimin couldn't stop the smile on his face. "Will you help me cook?"
"Oki!" The pup started clapping his hands. "What are we cooking?"

"How about Kimchi-jjigae?" Jimin had learned how to cook, but he wasn't a chef after all and this was going to be the first time he and Yoongi were going to spend some time together since 5 years.
When they went back home, Yeri only went to wash her hands and change her clothes. Then she dashed to the kitchen, where Jimin had made sure that she would only help him with things that wouldn't harm her.
By the time the doorbell rang, the table was ready. Jimin took a deep breath and waited a little in the kitchen, while his daughter rushed to the front door. Yeri had to wait for him though. She was still too little and couldn't open the door alone.
Yoongi hadn't changed his clothes, Jimin noticed. The alpha had probably drove off straight from work, just to be there.

"Hello,"Jimin's voice wavered, while Yeri grinned wide.

"Yoonie-samchon!" She squealed. "Now you know where I live! See, I told you my amma looks beautiful!"
"He is indeed," the alpha chuckled and then looked up at Jimin. He handed him a bottle of wine. "I didn't know if you drink or not and... I didn't know what else I should bring here, so..."

"This works," the omega smiled nervously. "Please, come in."
He took a step aside and waited for the alpha to take off his shoes. After that it was Yeri who took his hand and led them to the kitchen table. The pup kept babbling about everything and nothing and Jimin was only able to watch.
He noticed how patient Yoongi was with her and how he really listened to what the pup had to say. Something warmed inside his chest. Did Yoongi already know? Could he figure it out on his own that Yeri was his own daughter?
The omega shook his head, as if to punish that thought away. He busied himself with opening the wine and pouring it into two glasses. Just then he took his place around the table and the trio began with their dinner.
Yeri felt sleepy soon after that and Jimin excused himself to put her to bed. The pup fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow and Jimin left her room quietly. The alpha was still waiting for him, sitting on the table.

"She's asleep," Jimin said and took his place.
"Ok," the alpha nodded awkwardly. "I guess... I guess I can start with an apology," he cleared his throat awkwardly and Jimin frowned with confusion. "The-the letter, Jimin-ah. The letter I've never written to you."
Ah, the letter that Yoongi had promised to sent to him but it had never arrived. The omega didn't know what to say though. He remembered that time when he was waiting eagerly, only to have his heart broken. And how he had stopped waiting eventually around Yeri's birth.
"I don't know why I even asked you," he finally said and reached out for his glass. "We were... I don't know what we were by the end," he shrugged.

"What do you mean?" The alpha frowned.

"I mean... we were friends who were sleeping together, occasionally," Jimin shrugged.
"Occasionally," the alpha repeated the word, but the expression on his face was sour as if he didn't like the taste of it.

"We were never that close Yoongi," Jimin smiled wryly. "And by the end of it, we were only having sex. That was it."
"It was something that we agreed to be, Jimin-ah," Yoongi stared at him for a long moment. "You told me that you don't have time for a relationship and I accepted it."

"You told me the same," Jimin snorted. "Are we arguing now?"
"No," the alpha put up his hands, "no, I'm sorry. I just... I wanted to know how have you been and--"

"If it wasn't because I happened to be Yeri's parent, you weren't even look for me," Jimin interrupted him. "If you wanted to know how I am, you could've send that damn letter!"
"I thought that you moved on with your life," the alpha scoffed.

"You hadn't even thought of me," Jimin countered him. He didn't even know why he felt so angry all of a sudden.

"Jimin-ah, I don't want to fight here," the alpha looked at him with tiredness in his eyes.
Jimin barely nodded. The silence screeched for a long moment. "I'll... clean the table," he suddenly said and got up from his place, gathering the empty plates.

"I also wanted to ask you about Yeri," the alpha's next words made him feel numb all of a sudden.
He didn't feel how the plates slipped off of his fingers and crashed onto the tiled floor. "Fvck!" He cursed under his nose and bent down to try and pick up the pieces, but one of them cut his finger.

"Hey! Wait," Yoongi was on his feet next. "Let me help you!"
The alpha asked him to stay still, while he was using the was using the broom and the shovel to clean the space around the omega. Just then, Jimin was allowed to move.

"Thank you," his voice wavered. "I don't know how it happened."
"No problem," the alpha smiled softly and Jimin felt the well-known warmth in his chest. "Now, about Yeri?"

"What do you want to know?" Jimin clasped his hands in his lap. He was thankful that Yoongi couldn't see them, because they were also shaking.
"I've started working with her, because her teachers told me that she's always shying away from the other kids," Yoongi rested his hands onto the table. "I wanted to talk to her parent, to help me with her problem and it turned out that..."
"That the parent was me," Jimin licked his lips nervously. "Yeah, I... I'm raising Yeri alone, ever since she as born. I'm doing everything I can to take care of her and when she told me about how the other kids treat her at school... I was surprised."
Yoongi nodded. "Yes, I was surprised at first also. Yeri is very clever child for her age. She is also quiet and a bit shy, but that's not the problem. The other pups stay away from her because they think that she is different than them."
Jimin looked away, feeling how the familiar guilt crippled up his spine. "She... she doesn't have an appa," the omega finally said quietly. "They think she is different, because she doesn't have an appa."
"But... she has one, right?" There was something strange in Yoongi's eyes when he asked that question. Jimin's heart skipped a beat.

"She... she does," Jimin squeezed his hands tight until they started sweating.
"What happened with him, Jimin-ah?" Yoongi asked and at first Jimin wondered what did he mean by that. The alpha was good at math, ever since Jimin knew him. He could do the calculations. After all, he had seen Yeri's birth date.
The omega took a deep breath then. He had to open his mouth and speak. It didn't matter what Yoongi would think of him. This was about Yeri and her future. This was about his pup not to feel so different anymore. Jimin had to talk and he had to do it now.
"Yeri's father left to follow his dreams," the omega finally said. His voice wasn't louder than a whisper. He was afraid to look Yoongi in the eyes. "Her father and I... had different dreams in life. He just... left to chase his own."
"Jimin-ah, please... look at me!" The alpha's voice was pleading. Jimin couldn't resist to it and when he did, he felt sorry that he had done it. Yoongi's eyes were filled with more questions than Jimin was able to answer.
"What?" He finally asked. "I didn't know I was pregnant by that time," his vision blurred and he realized that he had started crying. "And I finally found out that I am, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't call him, because--"
"Because he didn't have his phone with him? And there wasn't any reception to the place he was, right?" Yoongi's voice trembled. "Yeri is... she is my daughter, right?"

"She is mine," the omega put his chin up. "I raised her."
"Jimin-ah, please," the omega noticed how Yoongi's hands were clenched in fists over the table. His eyes were getting teary too. "I have to know!"

"What difference this could make, Yoongi?" Jimin loked away again. "You'd leave again. What difference could my words make to you?"
"I could stay here if--"

"This wasn't your dream, hyung..." the omega trailed off sadly. "She wasn't your dream. But it's ok. She has me and I am enough. I should be enough for her. I can't tell her who you are and watch her suffer after you leave again."
"You don't fvcking know me anymore!" The alpha rumbled then. "You don't know if this is still my dream, Jimin!"

"You never dreamed of pup, hyung," the omega pointed out.

"Neither do you," the alpha scoffed. "But look at you now!"
The omega shrugged. "Dreams can change hyung and in my case, they got only postponed. Yes, I didn't plan on having Yeri in my life, but I'd never feel sorry for having her."

"Just answer my question!" Yoongi looked at the end of his patience. "Is she mine too?"
Jimin could've lied then. If he didn't want to see Yoongi anymore in his life, he should've lied to him. He should've told him the same as he told Hoseok - that Yeri's father was just a hook-up and nothing more. But there was that thing, Jimin couldn't lie to Yoongi.
He couldn't look the alpha in the eye and told him that Yeri wasn't his own flesh and blood. The only thing he could do was to be honest and protect his pup after that.

"Yes, she is yours," he finally admitted.
"So, you never slept with another while were... sleeping together?" There was some strange vulnerability in the alpha's voice.

"You spoke with Hoseok-hyung then?" Jimin asked and the alpha nodded. "No, I haven't slept with anyone else."
"I-I have a pup then... fvck!" Yoongi covered his face with his hands. "Fvck, Jimin!"

The alpha's shoulders shook then and Jimin was able to hear his quiet sobs. But he was too afraid to reach out and try to console him.
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Yoongi didn't know what else to do than to simply up and leave Jimin's place. He didn't want to talk anymore. His head was filled up with so many questions and yet, he wasn't feeling ready to ask them.

But the omega also didn't stop him on his way out. They simply bid an-
-awkward goodbye by the door and that was it.

The alpha had another reason to leave so fast. He was on a bridge of an emotional breakdown and he didn't want Jimin to witness it. He didn't know that Jimin and he had a feeling that he was a lot different than the one, who he-
-had left at the airport all these years ago.

Yoongi walked fast to his car and drove off home. The need to be alone was too strong for him not to obey it. When he finally closed the front door behind his back, his legs finally crumbled.
His eyes filled with tears faster than Yoongi could help it and he let out a loud sob. Nobody could hear him anyhow. Then his shoulders shook violently and he curled up on himself, wrapping his folded legs with his arms and hiding his face on his knees.
Five years... five long years he had lived not knowing that he had a pup. His own flesh and blood out there and he didn't have a clue. And even if he wanted to hate Jimin for hiding that truth from him, he found it hard to do so.
If anything, he was the one who had to reach out first, right? Jimin didn't even know where to look for him. Yoongi never told him the name of the place he was going to be. He found it useless... and this the price he was paying for his stupid pride.
The image of Yeri's face crossed through his mind. Her feline eyes and her button nose, looking so much like his own ones. The shape of her face even. Now, Yoongi could find out all of the similarities that he didn't know he had to search before.
He called off work on the next day. The alpha wasn't able to pull himself together and he knew that he wasn't going to be able to help the other pups. Yoongi had to take back the control over his senses before going back there.
Namjoon called him that same evening. Yoongi wondered if it was some weird kind of a sixth sense. The alpha managed to convince him to go out for some drink. Seokjin was still getting used to getting back to Seoul thing and decided to skip it.
"What is going on, hyung?" His friend asked him, right after they reached out for their second bottle of beer for the night. "You look like you're not here."

"I'm sorry, Namjoon-ah," Yoongi stared at the bottle in his hands. "I'm not at myself today."
"I can tell that," his younger friend hummed. "Can you tell me what's going on in your head though?"

"It's... complicated," the alpha shrugged, not even knowing from where to begin.

"Try me," the younger nudged him, "it might help you a bit."
"Well," Yoongi trailed off and took a long gulp from his beer, just then he decided to proceed. "How would you feel if... you suddenly find out that you've become a father?"

"What?" Namjoon stared at him with confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Yeah," Yoongi chuckled bitterly. "Until the other day, I thought that I have my life in complete order. I thought I've had everything figured it out, but... I guess I was wrong."

"So... you mean it for real then, not hypothetically," Namjoon frowned. "Whoa!"
Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Yeah... whoa," he took another sip. "I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it."

"Do I know the omega? Or... was it someone from the place you used to work?" Namjoon asked carefully.

"You... hm, I think you know him," Yoongi finally relented.
"Who is he then?" The younger looked at his friend.

"Park Jimin," Yoongi said and gulped down what was left from his beer.

"What the fvck?" Namjoon's reaction was something that Yoongi actually expected to hear.
Although they were a friend circle back then, nobody knew that Yoongi and Jimin were doing some fvcking on the side of their friendship. They didn't let it show. Jimin had one mentioned that Taehyung was suspecting something, but never said it again, so Yoongi wasn't sure.
"Yeah," the alpha rested his head back onto the wall. The music in the bar wasn't that loud and he could actually hear his thoughts. "She... my daughter is one of the pups at the kindergarten I'm working at right now."
"This is... whoa," Namjoon repeated the word and when Yoongi spared him a look, he found out that his friend was observing his face with disbelief, "this is so... unexpected."

"Yeah... it is," Yoongi closed his eyes again.
"He didn't even call you?" The younger asked.

"I told him that I'd rarely have a reception," Yoongi shrugged. "I promised to write him a letter, but I never did. I guess... yeah."

"He should've tried harder," Namjoon frowned. "I think, if he--"
"He wanted me to follow my dreams," Yoongi chuckled bitterly. "That's what he told me. But now I'm confused at should I be angry at him or not? I mean... damn! This is such a mess!"
When he went back home that night, he didn't feel better. The only good thing around him was the silence that was embracing him. The next thing he knew was how he was falling asleep to the thought of Yeri's face.
Yeri was happy to see him on the next day. The pup looked excited and asked if he felt better already. Yoongi found himself smiling to the sheer joy that was written in the pup's eyes only because she was seeing him.
He let her talk more that day, just enjoying to the sound of her voice and the look on her face. She was telling him how her friend Jisoo had asked her to spend their lunch time together and how she helped her with her drawings.
When the time came, Yoongi let her teacher lead her back to Jimin. He wasn't ready to see the omega just yet. The alpha knew that he shouldn't feel angry at him. He shouldn't blame him for anything and simply be thankful that he had taken cared of their daughter all alone.
But he still couldn't stop the thoughts of how he had missed all these years from Yeri's life. The moment she was born, her first words, first steps. His eyes filled with tears even thinking about that and he couldn't stop the thought of how probably unworthy Jimin thought of him.
He watched how the omega was helping Yeri to the car and then how he was getting in as well. The car drove off soon after, but Yoongi still remained rooted to that same place until somebody knocked on his door and asked him if he was going to leave as well.
The next time he saw Jimin again was at the dinner that Namjoon and Seokjin arranged as their coming back gathering for their friend's circle. Only Jungkook was missing. Jimin arrived along with Taehyung and Hoseok.
Yoongi was already there, sipping his whiskey and relaxing over Seokjin and Namjoon's sofa. Hoseok was the first to spot him and greeted him with warm welcome. The beta hadn't changed since the last time Yoongi had seen him.
"Jimin-ah told me that you're back, but I couldn't believe it," Hoseok patted his shoulder and went to pour himself some drink as well.

Taehyung was the next to spot him and judging by the way how the omega halted his steps, Yoongi already knew.
Taehyung knew about him and Jimin. He knew about Yeri. The tight smile that the omega offered him was another give away.

"Yoongi-hyung," the omega bowed his head.

"Taehyung-ah," Yoongi returned the nod and watched how Taehyung was fast to walk into the kitchen.
Jimin showed up after that, wearing some nice casual clothes, but to Yoongi's eyes he was still the most beautiful thing that he had ever laid his eyes on. The alpha had to take a sip from his drink, not to spill what was in his mind.
"Do you want something to drink, Jimin-ah?" Seokjin asked the omega, probably because Jimin was standing still on his place and only staring at Yoongi. The alpha could feel his eyes on him, but refused to look up.
"I'm not going to drink tonight," the omega casually refused. "I came with my car."

"Oh, of course," Jin chuckled warmly. "Let me go and check what happened with the dinner now, ok? Feel yourself at home."
Jin walked out as well, leaving only Yoongi and Jimin inside the living room. The alpha's eyes stayed glued to his whiskey.

"You're not going to say a word to me then?" He heard Jimin's voice.

"What do you want me to say?" Yoongi didn't want to sound bitter. He really didn't.
"Hello is a good start," he heard how the omega walked further into the room.

"Hello, Jimin," the alpha tried to omit any other emotion from his voice.

"Is that all?" Jimin asked next and strangely why it was the thing that irritated him.
"Damn it, Jimin! What else do you want me to say?" Yoongi scoffed, his voice still low. "It's nice seeing you here? You want me to also pretend that we barely know each other? What else?"

"A civil talk would be nice," the omega hissed.
"Sure," the alpha chuckled bitterly, "wherever you fancy."

"You're mad at me?" Jimin's voice was full of surprise and Yoongi couldn't stop the roll of his eyes. "Ok then, you're mad at me. Is it... because of Yeri?"
"I don't... have the right to be mad at you," the alpha hissed. "Besides... now it's not the time to discuss all this, don't you think?"

"Yoongi--"

"The last time I've checked, you didn't want our friends to know about us! Do you want me to continue?"
Jimin frowned. "I was only trying to not complicate your life, damn it! I didn't know if you... fvck! I didn't think you'd... you told me you wanted the same!"

"Just because I knew I can't have it the other way!" The alpha snapped.
"What?" Jimin's eyes widened.

"You never wanted a relationship, right?" Yoongi took a deep breath then, trying to clear his head. "I just... let's not talk about it here now?"
"I... " the omega looked clearly out of words. "When? When do you want us to talk then? You don't even want to see my face."

"Jimin--"

"Just tell me when can we talk about our daughter and I will--"
"Your what now?" Hoseok's loud voice interrupted their conversation.

"You have a daughter?" Jin's loud voice boomed next and Yoongi squeezed his eyes shut. It was going to be a long night...
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Jimin didn't know what to answer next. He had put himself in this situation all alone by wanting to make things clear with Yoongi, or what he just told himself. He hadn't expected for the alpha to answer him on the way he did.
His eyes scanned everyone in the room and he simply placed his head between his hands with a loud groan.

"This is not supposed to go like this," he simply mumbled, but the next thing he knew was Taehyung's hand over his shoulder. The omega said nothing. He was simply there for-
-him. Taehyung was also the only other person, outside Jimin and Yoongi, to know about Yeri's real parentage.

"Can somebody explain now?" Hoseok looked lost with words. When Jimin looked up to meet his eyes, his friend looked like he had betrayed him.
"Jimin and I used to be friends with benefits," Yoongi was the one, who spoke first. "Then I left and... apparently I left him with a pup," the alpha looked away. "I didn't know he was pregnant, but now... after I came back..."
"So, Yeri is his daughter?" Hoseok pointed at the alpha and Jimin gave his friend a light nod. "Why didn't you tell me? All the time I thought it was a random alpha!"

"Why didn't you tell us?" Jin sat on the table, followed by a very quiet Namjoon.
"I didn't want Yoongi to know about her," the omega finally confessed. "Also, I-I didn't know how to contact him. I tried calling him once, but... the call never got through."

"You didn't want him to know? Why?" Hoseok stared at him with disbelief. "Yeri is his--"
"She's mine, ok?" Jimin suddenly became defensive. "She is only mine and no one else's!" He pushed his chair back and got up abruptly. "Now, if you'll excuse me--"

"What?" Yoongi's raspy voice interrupted him. "You're running now? Ok... run then if you think it's gonna fix-
-everything!"

"I'm learning from the best!" The omega hissed and basically ran out the door, leaving his stunned friends behind.

He released the nanny that he had hired for the evening as soon as he came back home. The beta left right away.
As soon as she did that, Jimin sneaked into his pup's room. Yeri was already asleep. Her face was turned to the side, so Jimin could sit on the floor and watch her sleep. His eyes filled with tears. She was looking more and more like Yoongi while she was growing up.
Everything - from the curve of her face to her feline like eyes. Everything of her resembled her alpha father. Jimin reached out to fix a curl hanging over her face and the pup scrunched her nose in her sleep, but she didn't wake up.
"I'm so sorry," the omega whispered in the silent room. "I know how much you dream of having your appa with us, baby," he felt the tears building up in his eyes. "I know how much you want to have him with us, but I can't... I can't do that... I'm so sorry..."
It was so hard to leave his pup's room that night, but he forced himself to do it and go to his own room. He had the need to be surrounded by his own nest now. He thought it would bring him the calmness that he needed. But it felt off. Something was missing there.
A scent that Jimin had almost forgotten with time, but never left his memories. He clenched his hand in fist and hit the matrasses angrily few times, as if that could help him somehow. It didn't. The need never went away.
When the morning came, he left Yeri with her teacher and then drove off to his own work. His students somehow managed to push his solemn mood away, but it was only temporary. It soon became time for him to meet the alpha again.
Yoongi was waiting for him outside Yeri's school. He was holding the pup's hand and once Jimin saw that, his blood ran cold. There was some new kind of determination in the alpha's eyes. He bid Yeri goodbye and barely waited for the pup to get into the car.
"I want to get to know her," he said as soon as Jimin decided to turn his back to him. The omega halted on his steps. "I don't know what your plans are here, but she is my daughter as well. I want to get to know her better, outside my workplace."
"Do you know how much it will hurt her when you leave?" Jimin turned around to face the alpha. He refused to listen to the voice that it would hurt him as well. "Do you think it's a better idea for her to get to know you and then watch you leave just like that?"
"I'm not going to leave," the alpha said calmly. "I'm done travelling, Jimin."

"This was your dream Yoongi, remember?" Jimin stared at him with disbelief. "You told me how much you hate staying at one place for that much time. Do you remember?"
"You can believe me, or not," the alpha shoved his hands in the pockets of his worn jacket. "But I'm telling you that I'm not leaving Seoul. I'm done chasing my dream, or whatever you call it. Dreams can change right? Isn't that what you told me?"
"If... if you want to stay in Yeri's life it has to be something permanent, Yoongi," the omega insisted. His heart was beating fast. "I don't want you to break her heart, because once you leave... I'll be the one left standing."
Something flashed through the alpha's eyes and for a moment Jimin thought he saw the sadness there, but Yoongi was fast to get back to his old self. He cleared his throat instead and stared at the omega.

"I understand and I want to stay!" His voice was filled with determination.
"Ok then," Jimin still looking reluctant, remembering what he had whispered to his daughter the night before. Maybe she still had a chance to have an appa in her life. "We'll think of something."
Yoongi stayed true to his word and within the next month, the alpha was constantly around Jimin and Yeri. There were occasional walks in the park, picnics and movie dates. Sometimes, Jimin would invite Yoongi for dinner, so the alpha could spend the evening with them.
He refused to full himself and think that Yoongi was doing this because he wanted him back in his life. The alpha was doing this for his daughter. Yeri deserved to be happy and Jimin would do everything to make that happen, including to let the person who had broken his heart-
-unknowingly in the past, back into his life. He owed this to his daughter. And he could see how happy Yeri was every time Yoongi was there. She was enjoying his attention and on the evenings when Yoongi was spending his time with them, she always wanted him to read her to sleep.
One of these nights Jimin stayed by the door and watched how the alpha was trying to put his pup to sleep. His deep and soothing voice made Yeri yawn in no time and the pup was sound asleep before she knew it.
Jimin turned around, hoping that Yoongi hadn't seen him and walked back to the kitchen, busying himself with cleaning the table. He heard the alpha's approaching steps soon after.

"Let me help you," Yoongi insisted and took a clean towel.
Jimin didn't protest and the two got busy with doing the dishes. When the last one was put in the rack, the omega didn't have more excuses to not look at the alpha. Yoongi was staring at him with this strange unreadable look in his eyes.
"What?" Jimin asked quietly. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"The first picture Yeri showed me of you," Yoongi crossed his arms on his chest and rested his hip on the kitchen counter. "She drew a black line there," he nodded at the omega's face.
"Oh," Jimin touched his scar without thinking.

"When I asked her if this was a scar she told me yes, but also that you are the most beautiful amma in the world," Yoongi paused but his words warmed the omega's heart. It sounded like something Yeri would say. "How?"
His question startled him and Jimin looked up. "What do you mean... how?"

"How did it happen, Jimin-ah?" Yoongi's words calm, not meaning to harm him, but the omega still felt vulnerable.
"Um... well," the omega cleared his throat. "I was in my seventh month," he chuckled nervously. "I'd just entered in it and I was about to cross a busy street. The light was green and I started walking," he looked away, remembering everything. "Then my phone buzzed.-
-I only stopped for a moment to pull it out... and when I did it, it was to see the alarm I'd settled for your birthday," he refused to look at Yoongi's face. "The next thing I remember is the sound of screeching tires and how I'm flying in the air."
"Jimin-ah..." Yoongi gasped.

"When I woke up again," Jimin really tried to suppress his sniffle, his arms wrapped around his torso as if he was trying to protect himself. "I was at the hospital and Yeri was out of my body. I thought I'd lost her and--"
His words got interrupted by two strong arms wrapping around him and pulling him to a strong body. When his sniffles echoed in the small kitchen, there was someone who was holding him this time. He wasn't alone.
"Yeri is right though," the alpha said when the two pulled away. Yoongi cupped his face before Jimin was able to protest against that gesture. "You are beautiful."

"Yoongi don't..." the omega cleared his throat and forced himself to step away from the alpha.
"What?" The alpha looked at loss. "What have I done now?"

"Don't say words like this and make me want something that we both know it can't happen," Jimin sighed. "You're doing this for Yeri and I understand that. But we should not--"
His words got interrupted by Yoongi's phone ringing insistently. The alpha apologized and pulled it out of his pocket.

"Hello?... Jungkookie?! What? Where are you?" The alpha's face suddenly got worried. "Ok, I'm coming!" He rushed out the door leaving puzzled Jimin behind.

Hearing Jungkook's name for the first time since five years made Jimin feel a bit... strange. When the young alpha suddenly dropped off of the face of the Earth, Jimin wondered should he even try to contact him. But then he got hit by his own problems.
Now, he felt ashamed that he hadn't tried to reach out for the maknae back then. But again, he had lost contact with everybody from his friend circle aside from Hoseok and Taehyung... on purpose.
He had done it out of fear, but he had only recently realized it. Back then, he simply justified his opinion by the simple fact that he didn't want Yoongi to know about Yeri's existence. That was all. Maybe it was selfish, but this was how he used to think back then.
Well, maybe up until recently. But hearing Yoongi talking to Jungkook on the phone in front of him, inflicted something forgotten in the omega. He remembered the time when Jungkook was head over heals in love with Taehyung. How he kept following him like lost puppy.
How happy the alpha was when Taehyung had finally decided to give him a chance, but once things went south and it became clear that the two wanted different type of a relationship, Jungkook had suddenly vanished out of trace.
Jimin wasn't sure if Taehyung had even tried to look out for him. He didn't ask and now he wondered if his omega friend had hid something from him all this time. But Jimin felt a bit awkward to ask about Jungkook, when Taehyung never even mentioned him once.
The next time he saw Yoongi, was when the alpha was waiting for him outside his work, holding Yeri's hand. The two were talking animatedly, but once Jimin was out of his car, Yeri was in his arms. Yoongi waited for him to get her inside the car.
"I'm not going to come for dinner tonight," the alpha said next and that strangely made Jimin felt a bit... down. He tried to shook this feeling away.

"Oh?" It was on the tip of his tongue to ask why, but Yoongi had never spoken about his personal life with him since he was-
-back in Seoul. Jimin honestly felt nobody to ask the alpha.

"A friend needs me today," Yoongi simply said.

"Okay," Jimin nodded and honestly, he didn't want to ask more, but... "Is it Jungkook?"
"What if it is?" Yoongi asked carefully. "Would that be a problem?"

"A problem?" Jimin frowned. "Why?"

"Well," the alpha waved his hand, "you and Taehyung are friends so..."
"Oh, you mean... because of them? No," Jimin shook his head. "There is no problem. I hope he is doing ok," the omega even smiled.

"He's... getting there," Yoongi's answer was evasive but he refused to elaborate more, so Jimin dropped the subject and bid the alpha goodbye.
Yeri was disappointed that Yoongi wasn't going to spend dinner with them. The blood was thicker than water obviously, because the pup already liked the alpha a bit too much. She didn't know that Yoongi was her appa of course, not yet. But as if she could feel it.
Jimin was only able to put her to bed with the promise that the alpha was going to take them to the park on the next day. Thankfully, Yoongi was able to fulfil that task. Yeri looked delighted to spend more time with him and by the look of it, Yoongi as well.
Jimin had always known that Yoongi loved pups. After all, he had dedicated his work to them. But it was something completely different to be able to see the alpha interact with his own pup. Jimin had never seen him acting so soft with someone else... maybe rather than him.
"I told Jungkookie about Yeri," Yoongi told him, while the both of them watched how Yeri was playing in the sandbox. "Is it going to be a problem if he sees her?"

"He... wants to meet our daughter?" Jimin didn't know why the alpha flinched all of a sudden but then Yoongi said...
"You said... our daughter?" A small smile started dancing over his lips and Jimin suddenly realized that it was the first time for him to call Yeri as /their/ daughter and not only his own.

"Anyhow... if Kookie wants to see Yeri, then I see no problem," Jimin shrugged.
"Ok," Yoongi nodded, his eyes back on his pup. "I'll invite him to come with me tomorrow. Just... one thing?"

"Yeah?" Jimin was curious, because the alpha's voice suddenly changed.

"Don't try and touch him? He doesn't like to be touched now," Yoongi said lowly.
"What? Why?" Jimin frowned. He remembered the young alpha differently.

Jungkook was shy, but very warm person as far as the omega remembered him. Now this all of a sudden?

"I'll talk to Yeri at school as well," Yoongi shrugged. "If Koo wants to share why with you, he will."
Jimin was able to see the young alpha again on the next day. It was Friday and the weather was warm and nice outside. He and Yeri were already at the park, while Yoongi had to get back home and pick up Jungkook. Younger was his temporary roommate, from what Yoongi had told him.
Jungkook looked... different. The first thing that Jimin noticed in him was how long his hair was. It was touching his shoulders. The next thing was the younger's right hand, basically covered in tattoos. When he looked back at his face, Jimin noticed the lip piercing also.
Jungkook was walking towards him, side by side with Yoongi and while the elder was walking with his hands out of his pockets, Jungkook's ones were tucked in his jeans. His posture was different even, but it was obvious that the alpha was giving his best to just be there.
"Jimin-ah," Yoongi waved at him, although it was clear that the omega had already noticed them. "We're here," he said once he stood in front of Jimin.

"Hey," Jimin smiled warmly. "Nice to see you again, Koo."

"Yeah," the younger looked around and cleared his throat. "Me too."
"Yoonie-samchon! You came!" Yeri squealed then and Yoongi grinned, picking her up in his arms.

"I promised you, didn't I?" He turned around, so Jungkook was able to see her clearly. "This is Koo-samchon. The one I was telling you about today, remember?"
"Yes," the pup nodded seriously and then stared at the young alpha with open interest. "You look like a bunny," she stated finally and for Jimin's surprise a warm smile appeared over Jungkook's lips.

"Am I?" He tilted his head. "People keep telling me that all the time."
"I like you, Koo-samchon!" Yeri grinned. "Maybe you'll play with me the next time?"

"Maybe," Jungkook nodded slowly.

The next thing Jimin knew was how Yeri was basically demanding Yoongi's attention. The alpha apologized to him and Jungkook and he walked his daughter-
-to the swings.

"Come," Jimin waved at the younger, "let's sit down and wait for them. It's going to take a while."

They sat down on a bench near the playground. The silence was a bit awkward, mostly because Jimin didn't know what to say.
But it wasn't him to speak first. It was surprisingly Jungkook.

"How have you been, Jimin-hyung?" The alpha asked, looking away. "I know it's a lame question probably, but..."

"No," Jimin shook his head. "I've been... ok, accordingly," he sighed. "Had different plans for the-
-future, but..." He trailed off, hearing Jungkook chuckling quietly.

"Yeah, Yoongi-hyung told me," the younger paused, "I guess I've had different plans for the future as well. But plans change, right?"

"Right," Jimin stared at the younger's face. Not knowing what to ask next.
"I went to Busan," the younger said as if reading his thoughts. "After... whatever happened between me and Tae," his voice wavered a bit. "I felt lost, not knowing what to do next. I felt that I can't find myself here."
"I'm sorry Koo," Jimin said, not knowing why he was even apologizing.

"It's ok," the alpha waved his hand. "It's not your fault. It's not anybody's fault... only mine," he sighed. "My life slowly turned into a mess and yeah," he swallowed hard. "I lost my way entirely."
Jimin wanted to reach out and touch the younger. The sadness he felt that was coming off of him was more than he could take. But he clenched his hand in fist, remembering Yoongi's words that Jungkook didn't like to be touched.
"What happened with you, Koo?" The omega finally dared to ask.

"I don't know," the alpha shrugged, lowering his look to his clasped hands. "But I felt numb at some point and I got scared," he laughed sadly. "Tattoos... I loved the pain that the needle was causing to my skin."
"Koo..." Jimin felt tears in his eyes.

"When that didn't help anymore... I started fvcking around," the alpha's voice was quiet, absent of any emotion. "I wanted to feel something again, but they... they were never the one that I wanted!"
"Why didn't you call?" Jimin asked, but he knew the answer beforehand.

"Tae's your friend," the younger turned around to finally look at him. "He needed you more than me... so I tried to cope whatever I thought was going to help me. I was wrong. I... started drinking,-
-too much... At least stopped fvking around, you know?" Jungkook shrugged. "When I realized that I'm too deep, it was almost too late... but here I am," the alpha smiled, but the smile never reached his eyes. "Just got out of the rehab and trying to build my life again."
"Did you... call Tae?" Jimin asked quietly but Jungkook shook his head.

"No," he sighed and his look was back on the playground, where Yoongi was playing with his daughter. "One friend at a time," he skipped a beat. "You should let her know that Yoongi-hyung is her appa."
"What?" Jimin was surprised by the sudden change of the subject.

"Yeri should know about hyung," the young alpha smiled once more. It was a sad smile, too sad for Jimin to see from his friend. "You shouldn't waste more time, Jimin-hyung... Time is too precious to waste..."

Yoongi didn't know what happened since the day he took Jungkook with himself to see Yeri and Jimin. He didn't know what Jimin and Jungkook talked between each other. It wasn't something that it was his business anyhow. If one of them wanted to share something with Yoongi, they-
-would've. The only thing he hoped that came out of that day, was that Jungkook mental state got a bit better than the moment he had asked to meet Yeri and see Jimin once again. He knew that the young alpha was unsure if he wanted to come back to Seoul.
Jungkook had reached out to him on a pure accident, a year prior Yoongi's return home. The alpha happened to have his phone with himself and to reside on a place with good reception.

It was when Jungkook called to tell him about himself.
Up to this day, Yoongi didn't know why he was the first person that Jungkook had thought that day. It was part of his rehabilitation program to reach out for a person from his past. The younger had chosen Yoongi. The two didn't have that close contact ever since then-
-but they were still leaving messages from time to time to each other. It took some time for Jungkook to open up for real to Yoongi and share what happened to him.

Yoongi also informed the younger about his returning back home. Jungkook had informed him that-
-he was thinking of going back to Seoul, but he wasn't sure when. The young alpha had already left the rehab center by this point and was searching for a place to stay in Seoul. He had also found a job as a tattoo artist.
Yoongi offered his place for the younger to stay, until he was able to find himself a place to stay. Jungkook had agreed and this was how he had ended up back in Seoul.

Jungkook had arrived on the same evening when Yoongi was in a middle of a heart-to-heart talk with Jimin.
He didn't want to worry Yoongi and decided to stay out and wait for his return, but then felt like he wanted to have a drink. Usually, that was something pretty normal for a young person like Jungkook, but it was different to the alpha.
He was recovering alcohol addict after all and he got panicked. Luckily, he had chosen to call Yoongi first instead of giving up to the temptation. After all Jungkook had tried to apologize several times, but Yoongi would always tell him that he was always going to be there-
-for him.

After the park date with Jimin and Yeri, Jungkook looked a bit more relaxed. But there was still that sadness in his eyes that he couldn't seemed to escape.

"I think... you have a chance, hyung," the younger said once they got back home.
"What?" Yoongi had stared at him with confusion, but Jungkook had simply shrugged it off.

"With Jimin-hyung," the your alpha paused for a moment. "But I think he's still afraid that you're going to leave eventually."
"He told you this?" The elder didn't want to mention almost the same talk that he had with Jimin. "He told you about--"

"I understand fear when I see one," Jungkook sighed. "I can also see the way he looks at you and Yeri."
The both were sitting at the kitchen by this time and Yoongi was with his back to the younger. But he turned around, prompted by the way Jungkook sounded at that moment.

"When we started our relationship, if you can call it like that before," the alpha sighed,-
-"we talked beforehand, Kook-ah. We could only fool around with no attachment involved. We thought that we've had everything figured it out. And... it was fun. But he had dreams and I had mine... and I left, foolishly believing that once I stopped seeing him, I'd simply forget-
-about him," the alpha sat down then. "I was wrong, but I kept running. I never knew that he got pregnant and it was my fault! Only mine! I promised to write him a letter, but... I got scared, I don't know... I don't think Jimin has feelings for me to be honest."
Jungkook chuckled then. But when Yoongi looked up at the alpha, he saw nothing funny in his eyes.

"You're both fools, you know?" Jungkook shook his head. "You think that Jimin has no feelings about you? Fine then, waste more time in trying to run away once more."
There wasn't a bite in Jungkook's voice, only sadness. The younger didn't want to elaborate more over what he meant with his words, not even after Yoongi asked him. The elder didn't push more, leaving the subject alone.
Jungkook moved to his own place two weeks later. The silence was again present in the alpha's home and he wondered how he had once enjoyed it fully, but now it felt as if it was suffocating him. Maybe it was because he was getting old already, he couldn't be sure.
"Are you... really serious that you want to stay here?" Jimin asked him at one of their park dates with Yeri. The pup was playing alone by the swings and he parents were watching over her from the near bench. Yoongi gave a brief look at the omega, sitting beside of him.
"I am," Yoongi sighed and looked back to his daughter. He loved to see the smile over her face. "I am really staying, Jimin-ah."

"Ok then," the omega took a deep breath. "I... I think we should tell Yeri who you are to her."
Yoongi's heart skipped a beat and he spared another look to Jimin. The omega's eyes were firmly over his pup, but there was strange determination in his voice.

"Are you... are you sure?" He asked quietly.
Ever since Jimin had agreed to accept Yoongi in his daughter life, the alpha had never pushed for more. He never insisted that Jimin should tell Yeri that the alpha was her father. He never thought that it was up to him, thankful that he was allowed to be there for her at all.
"Yeah," the omega nodded softly. "Yeah, I am sure."

"Ok then," Yoongi finally said, returning his look back to the playground. "Whatever you say. How can we do this?"
It turned out that it happened in way more natural way than the both of them had planned it to be. It happened one evening, while Yoongi was having dinner with Jimin and Yeri. After that, the pup didn't feel like going to bed right away. Jimin allowed her to draw a picture-
-first, hoping that would make her sleepy eventually. Jimin and Yoongi simply sat on the sofa, while Yeri was busy with her coloring pencils. They barely talked to each other, but it was nice, comforting silence. Not like the one that was waiting for him back home.
"I'm ready," the pup finally announced and sat between Jimin and Yoongi on the sofa. She handed the picture to him first and to his surprise, there was one more stick figure present there, rather than the usual two resembling her and Jimin.
"Who's this baby?" Jimin asked her warmly, looking at the picture in Yoongi's hands and pointing at the extra figure on the piece of paper.

"That's Yoonie-samchon," the pup said casually. "I thought that he could be like appa to me."
Jimin and Yoongi exchanged looks over Yeri's head. The alpha's heart skipped a beat, but he let Jimin to deal with the whole situation.

"You like Yoonie-samchon like... an appa, Yeri-ah?" The omega asked carefully and the pup nodded. "Can I tell you something then?"
"A secret?" Yeri lowered his voice and Yoongi couldn't stop a quiet chuckle that was bubbling inside his chest. The pup looked so cute.

"No," Jimin shook his head with a smile over his lips. "More like... something you have to know."
"Ok," the pup frowned, obviously confused.

"Do you remember what I told you about your appa, baby?" Jimin asked carefully.

"He went to follow his dreams?" The pup said right away. Strangely how that pained Yoongi's heart.
"Yes," Jimin nodded, "but it wasn't because he didn't love you, baby. He didn't know about you," then he looked up and nodded at Yoongi, signaling him to pick up from there.

"But," Yoongi spoke then, "I came back Yeri-yah," he said quietly. "And now I'm here."
"Yoonie-samchon?" The pup blinked with confusion and then looked back at Jimin. "Is... is Yoonie-samchon my appa then? Is he my appa, amma?"

"Yes," Jimin nodded once again. His voice was soft and caring. "He is your appa, baby."
Yeri stayed quiet for a long moment and Yoongi feared that they had done something wrong. Maybe now wasn't the right time for the news. It wasn't the moment to tell--

"Are you going to leave again then?" She asked with her feline like eyes staring at him.
"No," the alpha shook his head, fighting with his own tears. "No, I'm never leaving again. I promise... I won't leave you, puppy!"

"Ok," the pup nodded with a small grin over her lips. "I hoped that my appa was someone like you," she said next and that clenched Yoongi's heart.
"Really?" Yoongi somehow managed to ask.

The pup nodded once more. "Yes," then she reached out for his hand and pulled him to get up from the sofa. "Would you read me to sleep, appa?"
Yoongi thought that he could hear Jimin's gasp behind his back, but he didn't have time to turn around and look at the omega. The smile on his daughter's face was everything that was in front of his eyes now.

"Of course, Yeri-yah... lead the way," he said and followed his pup.

It was a new experience for Jimin to have Yeri's other parent taking care of their daughter as well. It was especially new for him to leave Yeri under Yoongi's cares for a day.
He owed this to the alpha and thought it would only help his relationship with the pup. Plus, he wanted to be able to see the way the alpha would act as a parent. Now, when Yeri knew who he really were.
The alpha picked her up early in the morning. Jimin didn't ask where Yoongi would take her, deciding to put his whole trust in the alpha. So far, Yoongi proved to be a responsible parent.
He stood by the front door of the building, watching the two getting into Yoongi's car and driving away. He still had mixed feelings of how the situation between him,Yeri and Yoongi would work out but he was willing to try. There wasn't anything that Jimin wouldn't do for his pup.
Even if he was fearing for the sake of his own heart. It wasn't easy to fight with his own feelings, seeing the way Yoongi truly cares about his pup.
"I don't get it," Hoseok told him when he came to see him later that day. "Why did you tell me that Yeri was some random alpha's kid?"

"I'm sorry Hobi-hyung," Jimin sighed. "I really am. I got scared that someone was going to tell Yoongi and..."
"Yeah, yeah..." Hoseok waved his hand. "I got it, but you should've trusted me more, Jimin-ah."

"I know," the omega took a sip from his coffee and looked to the window. "I know now, but I panicked and I'm not good with taking good decisions when I panic."
"Tell me about it," the young beta chuckled, "and how's the things now between you and Yoongi-hyung? He told us that Yeri knows about him already."

"He told you?" Jimin was honestly surprised.

"He looked so proud," Hobi rolled his eyes, "and smug. Like you should've seen him."
"Really?" Jimin asked but in fact, he could've imagine that happening for real. The alpha had showed real happiness since the moment Yeri had called him her appa for the first time.

"Yeah," Hobi paused. "And about you two?"
"About... us?" The omega looked away.

"You and Yoongi," the beta insisted. "I can sense some tension still lingering around."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Jimin mumbled under his nose, but his friend wasn't having it.
"Jimin-ah, I might be slow for the ride, but I can feel the tension," he reached out to touch Jimin's shoulder. "What is going on? Is Yoongi behaving good with you? He's not pushing you into anything, right?"
"No," Jimin was fast to answer. "He's... careful," the omega thought about some more. "Like, too careful at times. He even waited for me to be comfortable enough to tell Yeri that he is her father."

"But?"

"I don't know," Jimin sighed. "I don't know what to think."
"You feel something for him then," it wasn't a question. It was of a statement. "Don't say it otherwise, because I can see it in your eyes."

"We meant nothing for each other before," Jimin lowered his look. "We... well, we were friends, but not even that close friends. And-
-we only decided to add sex to the mix, because we worked really well in the bed together. We agreed that there would be no feelings between us... and I-I really thought that when he leaves to follow his dreams, I'd do the same. No hard feelings."
"But?"

"But... Yeri happened," Jimin chuckled bitterly. "When he left, I watched him walking away from me at the airport... I couldn't understand that emptiness in my heart... or maybe I could but I was too afraid to admit to myself."
"You fell for him," Hoseok nodded with his eyes filled with understanding.

"I did," Jimin sniffled lightly. "But he... I never told him this. We didn't have the time to talk and even now... Hobi-hyung, it's been five years and I'm not sure--"
"You still love him," the beta interrupted him with softness in his voice. "I can see that in your eyes. But you're still too scared to talk to him, am I right?"

Jimin didn't have the time to answer, because he heard how someone buzzed the front door and he got up.
Yoongi and Yeri were standing there and Jimin wondered how fast time time had flown that day. He saw how Yoongi's smile died down when his eyes stopped over his face.

"Something happened?" The alpha frowned slightly.
"Amma, are you crying?" The pup got worried as well and Jimin cursed under his nose. How could he be so emotional!?

"I'm ok," Jimin tried to assured them both. "Where have you been today? Are you hungry?"
"Appa promised to cook dinner for us," Yeri grinned and suddenly her eyes stopped on Hoseok, who was now standing behind Jimin's back.

"Hobi-samchon!" She squealed and dashed for the beta.

"Hey," Yoongi's hand resting on top of his arm stopped Jimin. "Are you ok?"
There was something in the alpha's eyes that still made Jimin's heart to skip another beat. The omega tried to put a smile on his face.

"I really am," he moved away, to make a room for Yoongi to enter his home. "Hobi and I just remembered the past."
"If you're saying," the alpha's eyes narrowed towards Hoseok and Jimin wondered what was really in his mind. But Yoongi said nothing more.

Soon after that, Hoseok had to leave, because he had to meet with some friends for dinner.
Jimin took care of Yeri's bathroom routine, while Yoonig was making their dinner. The omega tried not to get used to all that domestically. Yoongi was doing everything only for their daughter. It wasn't about him. He shouldn't imagine things that wouldn't happen.
"There was this woman today," Yeri was just telling him about. "Appa and I went to the amusement park," the pup was talking excitedly. "Appa bought me this pink bunny. He looks so much like Koo-samchon, amma! But that lady there, she looked appa really funny!"
"Funny?" Jimin suppressed a smile. It looked like the whole situation made Yeri feel in a certain way. But her next words made his smile disappear from his face.

"She asked appa for his number, but he said no... and she smelled funny, amma," Yeri frowned. "She said such-
-cute pup like me deserves to have eomma and... and she thought that I don't have an amma! And appa told her that I have an amma but the lady didn't believe him! She said every puppy needs an eomma in their lives."

"Oh?" Jimin didn't know how to react.
"Appa said that I already have one," Yeri seemed sad though. "But... but the lady said that I don't smell like someone with both parents. Amma?"

"Yes, baby?" The omega really tried to control his anger.

"Why can't you and appa live in the same place?"
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
A/N - Does that lady sounds familiar to you? We'll meet her once again... Until tomorrow, lovelies! <3

Yoongi could feel the change in the air in the moment Jimin and Yeri walked back in the kitchen. The kid had that gloomy expression on her face that he had seen the first time when he had met her for the first time. She looked sad and Jimin... he couldn't actually tell.
The omega's face was more pensive than at the moment when he had welcomed them back in the apartment. Yoongi frowned for a moment, but decided not to push. Maybe Jimin would tell him what was going on eventually.
Yeri relaxed a bit during the dinner. She was back to her usual brightness, but then she became gradually sad once was time for Yoongi to leave. It almost looked like the pup didn't want him to go.

"C-can you stay and read me to sleep, appa?" She was holding onto his hand.
The wetness in her eyes was acting like a dagger to his heart. Yoongi bowed his head a little.

"Of course puppy," he let himself be walked to his daughter's room. When they finally settled into her small bed and Yoongi started reading to her, he could feel how she was basically-
-fighting to stay awake. Yoongi stopped mid-sentence then and stared at her sad face. "Hey, what's going on, Yeri? What happened?"

"Why... why can't you stay?" The pup suddenly hiccupped.

"But I'm here, little sunshine," Yoongi's voice softened.
"I-I mean with amma and me," the pup buried his nose into his neck, trying to comfort herself. Yoongi's heart clenched.

"Listen, puppy--"

"Stay... please?" She sniffled and Yoongi frowned. The pup seemed really disturbed about something.

"I can stay until you fall asleep,"-
-he finally said. "But appa has to go back home after that. We'll see each other tomorrow, ok?"

It was hard to say what Yeri answered because of her small sniffles, but soon after that the pup fell asleep. Leaving his daughter was the toughest thing he could do.
Every instinct in him was screaming against it. But it was something that Yoongi had to do. He stood by the doorframe, watching over Yeri's sleep and then turned around to go walk back into the living room where Jimin was.
"I should... get going, I guess?" He said unsure, because the omega could barely spare him a look. He looked, and smelled, distraught. "Jimin-ah... are you ok?"

"Yeri told me about the-the lady," Jimin finally looked up at him and Yoongi sighed with resignation.
"Right," the alpha rubbed the back of his neck tiredly. "I should've told you about that." He wasn't sure how to proceed next, but telling the truth was a proper beginning. "The lady we met was a former colleague of mine... sort of."
"A colleague? From... the time you worked in Africa?" Yoongi didn't like the look in the omega's eyes. He didn't want to dwell too much about on it though. He had to come clean.

"Yeah," the alpha nodded. "The first job I got there. I haven't seen her since then."
Jimin got up from his seat, slowly. His arms crossed in front of his chest and the look in his eyes became wary.
"I'd appreciate if you don't bring our daughter to your dates, Yoongi."

"To my... what?" Yoongi's eyes widened. What just happened?!
"The words she told to Yeri... they were vile and got to her head," Jimin's scent suddenly soured. "I don't like that!"

"I didn't even know she was in Seoul," the alpha blinked with confusion. "She... basically bumped into me by accident."
"Accident," the omega rolled his eyes, "is that how you call it these days?"

"Jimin-ah," Yoongi put his hands up in a peaceful gesture then. "I don't know what's going on in your head, but I'm indeed telling you the truth here. Leila was just a colleague of mine," he sighed.-
-"I was also surprised to see her here. She even thought that Yeri wasn't my daughter at first and I admit that her words were out of place. But I can assure you that I made her realize that. She even apologized before we bid goodbyes."
Jimin's posture didn't change though. His eyes simply narrowed. Yoongi wasn't sure what to make of it. The omega looked almost... hurt? Maybe Leila's words had indeed hurt Yeri more than the alpha could think. Sh!t! And he was the one with the dissertation about pup's phycology.
"You should... leave," the omega eventually said.

"Look, I'm really sorry--"

"Goodbye, Yoongi!" Jimin interrupted him though and walked out of the room. The alpha took another moment before he would walk to the front door as well.
He went to work on the next day and really tried to focus over the pup's problems. What took him out of his thoughts was the quiet knock over his door. Yoongi looked up just on time to see the person, who was the principal of the institution.
"Mrs. Kim," Yoongi was fast to get up and bow respectfully. "How can I help you?"

"Ah, please sit down Yoongi-ssi," the nice elderly omega smiled and Yoongi sat behind his desk again. She took the place opposite him. "I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Yes?" Yoongi really wondered what should it be. So far, he had seen Mrs. Kim only handful of times, because her presence wasn't required for his work that much.

"There was an application for your assistant coming in here," Mrs. Kim began and Yoongi visibly frowned. "What?"
"I didn't know that I needed an assistant?" The alpha finally said.

"It's what surprised me as well," Mrs. Kim stared at him with interest. "But she insisted that she knows you from before and you two work well together, so I thought..."
"She?" Yoongi furrowed his brows. "I don't know who that person is, mrs. Kim, but I can assure you that I don't need an assistant here. The kindergarten is not that big and the pups already know me. It would be hard if they have to establish trust with another person as well."
"You're saying that you don't need someone else working with you here then?" The principal looked actually relieved by his answer. "Because if you do, I'm obligated to ask the ministry to open another job spot for her. And with our finances..."
"No," the alpha shook his head firmly. "I don't need an assistant, Mrs. Kim."

"It's settled then," the omega smiled when she got up from the chair. "I'll call and refuse the offer."

"Can I ask for that person name though?" Yoongi asked her just before she would leave.
"Ah sure," Mrs. Kim smiled. "Her name is Choi Leila. Have a nice day, Yoongi-ssi," she said and then left his office.

Yoongi frowned though. He really thought that the omega he knew from his past was there by accident. And now that?
He shrugged and looked at his watch. It was almost time for Yeri to come to him. Just as he thought that, the door opened and his daughter was led inside by her teacher.

Every other thought flew out of the alpha's head when he looked at his pup once again. He had missed her.
They spent the next hour or so together. The pup was eager to share with her friends who was her father, but Yoongi wasn't sure what Jimin would think of that just yet. The omega had barely let their daughter know about him. Maybe he'd think that it was too soon.
"What do you say that we have dinner at my place tonight?" Yoongi suggested, while the two were walking towards the exit where Jimin was already waiting for them.

"Is amma gonna be there too?" The pup looked at him unsure.
"Of course," Yoongi nodded. "Let me talk to him first, ok?"

"Ok," the pup grinned and then skipped to Jimin, who was waiting for her with his arms open wide. "Amma!" The pup giggled once in Jimin's arms.
"Dinner at my place tonight?" Yoongi asked after he made sure that Yeri was inside Jimin's car.

The omega looked at him. He was clearly hesitating, but eventually opened his mouth to speak.

"If... you're sure?"
"Why shouldn't I be?" The alpha frowned.

"You've never invited us before," Jimin shrugged, "that's all."

"I wasn't sure if you'd come," Yoongi confessed. "So... will you be there tonight?"
"H-how about Yeri?" The omega bit his lower lip still unsure. Yoongi tried not to think about how that plump lip felt between his own teeth. "She has to go to bed early."

"Maybe you should... have a sleep over at my place?" Yoongi blurted out without thinking.
"What?" Jimin's eyes widened.

"In two different room, I mean," the alpha stammered. "Only... only if... if you think it's ok. I... I mean--"

"Ok," the omega suddenly said and this time was Yoongi whose eyes became comically wide.

"What?" He blinked furiously.
"I said, it's okay," Jimin smiled softly then. "Maybe it's time for Yeri to see your place."

"You too," Yoongi didn't know why it was so necessary for Jimin to know that, but it was.

"Me too," the omega nodded. "So... what time?"
