In the 1st 2 min, the cops laugh about brutality, make sure their body cams are turned off, & say they worried about pushing each other into the train tracks.

Note: when the cops refer to "bodies" & "collars", they're referring to arrested protesters.

A Harlem resident made more than 200 complaints of NYPD blocking sidewalks & bike lanes around the nearby precinct house in March, but of course, NYPD ignored the complaints & made no changes. nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-ha…

"Christopher Volpe, 30, learned of the danger first-hand as he was walking his dog, Captain, in January when he tried to cross Frederick Douglass Blvd. at W. 123rd St., just outside the NYPD’s 28th Precinct stationhouse."

"Volpe said his view was obstructed by a row of double-parked cars, and he didn’t see another vehicle coming until it was too late. The oncoming car clipped Captain, injuring his paw.

I've seen many videos of people using & making molotov cocktails. I don't have any problem with protesters using them. But either this is a VERY poorly made molotov cocktail (that probably wouldn't work in real life) or the NYPD are bullshitting (or both).

And considering the fact that the specific protest being referred to here was co-organized by (the very non-militant & non-radical) Warriors In The Garden, I'd suggest extreme skepticism of NYPD's claim here.

Reminder that NYPD is notorious for lying about supposed molotovs. I'd be totally fine with protesters throwing molotovs but unfortunately, in my almost 10 years of reporting, I have yet to see a confirmed case of a protester in NYC using a real molotov.

Jordan Neely was mentally ill & homeless. He didn't attack anyone. He just yelled about how he was hungry & tired & threw his jacket on the floor. Then a man put him in a chokehold. Two other men helped hold Neely down. Neely died. The killer was later released with no charges!

The fascist NY Post makes sure to not name the killer. They only say that he's 24 years old & a Marine veteran. The NY Post definitely knows his name too cause they reached to him for comment.

Unions, leftist groups, & anti-colonial groups in NYC marched from Union Square to Grand Central yesterday for #MayDay with stops at the recently-collapsed First Republic Bank, real estate agency HJ Kalikow & Co, & Starbucks. NYPD on foot & in NYPD vehicles followed the march.

While people gathered in Union Square in NYC yesterday for #MayDay, people gave speeches & The Raging Grannies sang some songs.

Unions, leftist groups, & anti-colonial groups took over the streets of NYC yesterday for #MayDay & marched from Union Square to Grand Central. They made stops at HJ Kalikow & Co, First Republic Bank, & Starbucks. NYPD cops on foot, on scooters, & in cars followed the march.
