Cowatcher Jose LaSalle of @CopwatchCPU has released some audio he captured after NYPD arrested him at a #JordanNeely protest.
You can hear cops laughing about brutalizing protesters, calling protesters "trannies", & making some startling admissions. instagram.com/reel/CsFR_qWLs…
Jose LaSalle of @CopwatchCPU has released audio he captured after NYPD arrested him at a #JordanNeely protest.
In the 1st 2 min, the cops laugh about brutality, make sure their body cams are turned off, & say they worried about pushing each other into the train tracks.
Note: when the cops refer to "bodies" & "collars", they're referring to arrested protesters.
One NYPD cop can be heard complaining about being handed 2 "collars" & admitting that a lieutenant handed him an arrested protester & that he "didn't even know what to write" or "what corner he was" or even "what happened."
NYPD cops can be heard complaining about their fellow cops' disorganization. One cop brags "I pushed the fucking legal guy." The cops admit they don't know if protesters or other cops injured them. One cop claims that he isn't sure if a "tranny" or another cop punched him.
NYPD cops can also be heard laughing about brutalizing a protester. They comment how you could hear the blows to the protester's body, call the protester "an Asian a-hole", & remark how the protester was crying, couldn't breathe, & say "100% he cracked his ribs."
In the next batch of audio captured by copwatcher Jose LaSalle, you can hear cops reminiscing about brutalizing protesters in 2020.
Then they realize that one of Jose's devices is recording & switch to complaining about protesters throwing stuff at them. instagram.com/reel/CsFSQGOp5…
You can hear the NYPD cops reminiscing about brutalizing protesters in 2020 on the West Side Highway & #FTP4 in the Bronx.
"We not getting sued for that one! We good," one cop jokes.
I think this is the West Side Highway incident the cops are referring to.
The cops then say that "the detective division" is "the worst." One cop asks "they just start swinging at everybody?"
Then another cop complains about getting questioned by the CCRB.
Then a cop realizes one of Jose's devices is on & says "Oh shit! Something's recording!"
Copwatcher Jose LaSalle of @CopwatchCPU even captured video of when the NYPD cops discovered that Jose's body cam was still recording.
You can see the cops trying to shut it off.
The cops aren't able to turn off Jose's body cam.
You can tell the cops realized that they've fucked up. They get quieter & change the subject.
"The guy from copwatch. Those are all his fucking cameras."
"Oh you got him?"
"Yea"
"OK so I guess this is gonna be a quiet ride."
The NYPD cops then change the topic. They complain about patrol cops not helping SRG make arrests. They also start claiming that protesters threw water at them. One cop then claims that Occupy Wall Street protesters would mix pee, shit, & cum in bottles & throw it at cops.
This isn't the first time Jose LaSalle has caught NYPD cops on audio being horrible.
Here's a piece I wrote a few years ago on when Jose caught the cops who falsely arrested him celebrating his arrest & trying to falsely pin a felony on him. theappeal.org/bronx-cops-cel…

"A protester who is one of five wanted by the NYPD says the capitalist system failed #JordanNeely.
'They’re bringing up charges against me for protesting,' the protester, who did not want to be named, told PIX11"
"“We have a First Amendment right; this is literally so outrageous,” the protester said. “They are bringing up charges against me for protesting but a murderer is walking free on the streets … This is so outrageous; Black lives and homeless lives matter.”"
Check out PIX11's weaselly copaganda here.
NYPD's claim about a molotov has received lots of skepticism so PIX11 says "NYPD found items needed to make a molotov cocktail" instead of saying "NYPD found a molotov."
And they then use this to paint *protests* as violent.
A Harlem resident made more than 200 complaints of NYPD blocking sidewalks & bike lanes around the nearby precinct house in March, but of course, NYPD ignored the complaints & made no changes. nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-ha…
"Christopher Volpe, 30, learned of the danger first-hand as he was walking his dog, Captain, in January when he tried to cross Frederick Douglass Blvd. at W. 123rd St., just outside the NYPD’s 28th Precinct stationhouse."
"Volpe said his view was obstructed by a row of double-parked cars, and he didn’t see another vehicle coming until it was too late. The oncoming car clipped Captain, injuring his paw.
“I ran down the street after the car — the driver kept going.” Volpe said."
I've seen many videos of people using & making molotov cocktails. I don't have any problem with protesters using them. But either this is a VERY poorly made molotov cocktail (that probably wouldn't work in real life) or the NYPD are bullshitting (or both).
And considering the fact that the specific protest being referred to here was co-organized by (the very non-militant & non-radical) Warriors In The Garden, I'd suggest extreme skepticism of NYPD's claim here.
Reminder that NYPD is notorious for lying about supposed molotovs. I'd be totally fine with protesters throwing molotovs but unfortunately, in my almost 10 years of reporting, I have yet to see a confirmed case of a protester in NYC using a real molotov.
Eric Adams went on a fascist radio show & both he & the meathead fascist host whined about how much they hate when people, especially NYC Councilmembers, criticize NYPD. Adams even claimed that criticizing cops is harmful to children. nydailynews.com/news/politics/…
"Mayor Adams didn’t challenge the notion of creating a blacklist of people who are “bad mouthing” the NYPD during a Tuesday morning talk show appearance that touched on ongoing criticism of the department."
"Adams, who was speaking on WABC’s “Sid and Friends,” was responding to remarks from the show’s host Sid Rosenberg, who attacked City CouncilwomanTiffany Caban for sharing a how-to-guide on how children should interact with police."
Jordan Neely was mentally ill & homeless. He didn't attack anyone. He just yelled about how he was hungry & tired & threw his jacket on the floor. Then a man put him in a chokehold. Two other men helped hold Neely down. Neely died. The killer was later released with no charges!
The fascist NY Post makes sure to not name the killer. They only say that he's 24 years old & a Marine veteran. The NY Post definitely knows his name too cause they reached to him for comment.
"The 24-year-old passenger stepped in after the vagrant, identified by sources as Jordan Neely, 30, began going on an aggressive rant on a northbound F train Monday afternoon, according to police and a witness who took the video."
Unions, leftist groups, & anti-colonial groups in NYC marched from Union Square to Grand Central yesterday for #MayDay with stops at the recently-collapsed First Republic Bank, real estate agency HJ Kalikow & Co, & Starbucks. NYPD on foot & in NYPD vehicles followed the march.
While people gathered in Union Square in NYC yesterday for #MayDay, people gave speeches & The Raging Grannies sang some songs.
Unions, leftist groups, & anti-colonial groups took over the streets of NYC yesterday for #MayDay & marched from Union Square to Grand Central. They made stops at HJ Kalikow & Co, First Republic Bank, & Starbucks. NYPD cops on foot, on scooters, & in cars followed the march.
