They have been meeting each other in the same subway car every Tuesday and Thursday. It was a coincidence at first, spotting each other passing the time until they reached their stop. Jeongguk goes away first. Tae does after+ ImageImageImageImage
7 more stops. They probably live far away from each other. They probably have different lives. But every Tuesday and Thursday they come across each other and see something that makes them wonder what would happen if they went off at the same station. So many possibilities but+
nobody dares to approach the other or talk.

Jeongguk listens to music or draws when he finds a seat. Taehyung reads his book. It's a different one every Thursday. He works in a bookstore but Jeongguk doesn't know that. Not yet at least.

The first time they come across+
each other was when the car was extra crowded and their bodies were too close to each other. Then someone pushed Jeongguk and his chest slotted against the strangers making him blush wildly as the smell of strawberries entered his sensitive nose. He murmured the words,+
"I'm sorry," and tried to move back unsure whether Taehyung had heard him as he was listening to music. The you g ine hid hia eyes under his bucket hat. Unbeknownst to him, Taehyung had felt extremely embarrassed as well but he didn't show it.

The next time the subway wasn't+
as crowded as the first time. The didn't realize they wer einnthe same one until Jeongguk's had slipped on the metal bar, feeling sleepy after working part time at RJ's. Their hands brushed momentarily when Jeongguk snapped out of his drowsiness when the woman announced+
his stop. His eyes met Taehyung's for a moment and a spark was instantly ignited even though the encounter was brief.

The third time, Taehyung was reading one of his favorite books when he noticed Jeongguk sleeping in the far corner of the railcar, head leaning on a man.
Fir the first time he wished he was that man. A few stops later the passenger stood up making Jeongguk wake up abruptly, apologizing for his behavior. He looked cute, Taehyung thought until more people flooded the car and he lost sight of him. A few stops later, Jeongguk+
was gone again. Taehyung wondered why he was sleepy and tired. Did he have sb to cook him a meal at home or rub his shoulders. For the first time Taehyung's heart did a thing it had never done. All his life had been so boring, working and dating a few girls that his sister had+
set him up with. But it had never felt right. He had never felt anything close to what he had felt just by looking at the stranger.

A month went by. Then two. Then three. Every Tuesday they'd come across each other. Sometimes they both noticed the other. Other times it was+
just one of them spotting the other in the crowd. Their eyes and blushing cheeks did the talking. They didn't know each other's name just what they looked like and hints of what they could probably be. They were two passengers, two ships, crossing each other ever Tuesday and+
Thursday.

Six months went away. Of course sometimes they didn't see each other, which made Taehyung worried. Once he even took the subway on his day off just to see the young boy, fighting his demons and thoughts. This isn't right, he kept telling himself but all he dreamt+
about was the doe eyed boy in the subway, smiling at him. So many conversations had taken place in his mind.

Go there.
Ask for his name.
Say something.

That boy was clearly checking him out every time their eyes met. Maybe the feeling was mutual or maybe he was just curious.
Two months went away. It's winter now and everyone is wearing extra layers. The atmosphere in the subway is too stuffy. Jeongguk doesn't like it. Sometimes it makes him feel dizzy.

As he holds on to the metal bar, the door opens and a thousand more people try to squeeze+
their way in. It's too much for his tired body.

His sides are squished by bags and backpacks. it's too hot and his hand slowly slips down, fingers unlatching one by one until he finds himself holding onto nothing. And when the subway stops somewhat abruptly due to the new+
operator's inexperience, finding himself falling.

"I'm so sorry," he hurries to say as his body lands on the person sitting behind him. It's too embarrassing he thinks as he tries to stand up from the person's lap, afraid that he may have harmed them. His head spins a little.
He shouldn't have worked an extra shift after attending classes all day long. Jeongguk is a student living in an expensive city. He has to work extra hard if he wants to pay for groceries. Sometimes he doesn't eat to save money. This is one of these days.

"Are you okay?" A voice
then echoes in his ears, deep and worried and Jeongguk loves how it somehow manages to stand out in the sea of voices.

"Y-yeah— I'm so sorry for this!" He tries to stand only for the woman's backpack in front of him to push him back on the stranger's lap. "Fuck. This is so+
inappropriate he murmurs to himself, trying to catch a glimpse of the man on whose lap he is currently sitting when he catches a whiff of the same strawberry scent and his mind makes all kinds of scenarios.

'Just take a look,' he thinks with cheeks burning. This is already+
weird enough. How much weirder can it get. But it did. Because when he turned around he came across the same man he had been seeit in the subway for months.

'Fuck my life,' he chants in his thoughts, feeling dizzy again.

Does he know it's him? His beanie is covering his+
head and his bangs are hiding his eyes.

"Are you feeling well?"

"Y-yeah," he dares to say. "I'm so sorry for this."

"Are you sure?" The man asks in the same worried tone.

"I..." Jeongguk tries to say when the woman announces the stop before his. "I think I got a little dizzy.
My stop is after this one."

"Don't worry about it then. I don't mind you sitting there."

It's weird. Jeongguk knows. He's sitting on another man's lap. He may be a pervert or worse but he stays still throughout the journey, saying nothing more.

"T-thank you and I'm so+
sorry," Jeongguk tries to say as he tries to stand up, pushed out by the rest of the passengers. Their eyes meet momentarily.

This is not a coincidence anymore. But Jeongguk is out if the railcar, standing on the platform as the man he has been meeting for the past+
months goes away before his eyes. His heart is beating so fast he thinks he's gonna pass out. An old lady asks him if he is okay and he nods.

What is this feeling? He really doesn't know not until a couple of months later when he meets the stranger again.

He hasn't seen him+
for weeks. Maybe he got a car or something but when Jeongguk notices the cast on his arms he instantly gets sad and worried. The seat next to him is empty.

His heart tells him to go there but his mind still finds it weird to initiate a conversation after the last time.

'Fck..'
But as he tries to decide what to do, the young one catches a glimpse of the beautiful man standing up and walking to his side. Silently, he takes a seat next to him.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" He asks and Jeongguk nods, eyes travelling on his honey-colored face.
"S-sure," he murmurs, lowering one of his earbuds to make sure he listens to ahat he has to say. The railcar is half-full today. Jeongguk stays silent, heart racing on his chest. Why did he sit next to him when he had a seat? Maybe this is a sign?

"What are you listening to!"
The question finally comes and the young college student is equally nervous and excited.

"Agust D," he murmurs. "Do you know him?"

The man next to him doesn't seem liek the person who would listen to these songs. His entire presence gives off old soul vibes, from his+
earthy colored outfit to the way he smiles and talks.

"I'm sorry I don't know them. Are they good?"

"He just released a new album," Jeongguk speaks a little more casually than he wishes but this is not the first time they have encountered each other. Maybe a little+
familiarity is allowed but then again he has to be careful. This man is a stranger after all. Yet that doesn't stop Jeongguk from carrying on, trying to find a little more about him.

"Do you want to listen? Agust D is a rapper but there's this song called Snooze. It's really+
beautiful."

The stranger stays silent for a couple of seconds, trying to decide whether to accept or not. Finally he nods and Jeongguk's hand gives him on of his earbuds, the beautiful melody of Snooze already playing.

Jeongguk has 4 more stops till he reaches hos destination.
Maybe they will be life changing. Who knows.

"This is very good," the stranger says after the song ends. "I usually listen to jazz but this is really amazing."

"You should listen to Amygdala, too. It's a very personal song. I'm sure you're gonna like it," Jeongguk+
says all excitedly, sharing his love for Agust D's music. "I'm so sorry. I didn't eant to sound impolite."

"It's okay," the man reassures him with one of the most beautiful smiles Jeongguk is smitten once again, feeling the man's shoulder brushing his when the subway stops.
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your arm?"

"Ah, it's a funny story," the man chuckled and Jeongguk is sure it will be hard to leave the railcar after three more stops. Because how can this man be real. "But I'm sure you don't want to listen to me. I'm sorry+
for bothering you."

"No, please! I want to know. It seems painful. Are you in pain?"

"Not as much as weeks ago."

"So?" The young one asks curiously, eyes falling on the sign outside. Three more stops. Jeongguk wishes he didn't have to+
get off but it's the last train and he really can't afford to take a taxi to go back.

"Well, I work in a bookstore and the owner decided to adopt one of the stray cats, a calico named Mochi. I really like animals and she is such a lovely creature but one day she climbed+
all the way up the highest shelf in the store and couldn't get down so I fetched the old ladder to get her."

"Oh, don't tell me that you fell down the ladder!" Jeongguk says, eyes opening up in surprise and worry.

"Well, that's exactly what happened... I miscalculated the+
situation, plus the cat's nervousness and I found myself falling on the floor. I hurt my arm and Namjoon, the owner, got me to the hospital. They told me to take a few weeks off because I had those headaches at first. But as you can see," the man lifts his arm a little.+
"I'm doing a lot better now so I got back to work."

"You shouldn't strain yourself!" Jeo's voice is a little louder now. "I hope you recover soon and maybe take a few days off as well?"

"Thank you for your concern. But don't worry," the man replies, cheeks having a beautiful+
pink hue that makes Jeongguk wonder if he got shy. His voice is definitely sweeter and higher which can only mean one thing. "You should rest, too. You look tired."

"Huh?" The young college student is caught off guard. "Do I look tired?"
"N-not today..." The man whispers, avoiding eye contact for a few seconds as his eyes travel on the sign outside. He knows he doesn't have all the time in the world. Two more stops and the doe-eyed boy will get off the railcar.

"What do you mean not today?" The breathy+
voice finally attracts his attention.

"I— This isn't the first time we come across each other... I may sound like creep but we end up in the same railcar every Tuesday and Thursday... And sometimes I see you dozing off."

"Oh..."

"And that just made me sound like a pervert..."
"No!" Jeongguk hurries to day when the man hides his face behind his palm. "Then I'm a pervert too then!" He continues, making a few of the people around them turn to his direction by the remark. "I don't mean I! I am not! I mean— Fck!" He tries to save it, only to+
see a woman changing seats and another one staring at him while holding her phone higher.

'What the hell, JK,' he scolds himself before he listens to the most wonderful sound in the universe— a deep chuckle that turns into laughter and makes the young one's heart tremble.
"I'm so sorry. So deeply sorry."

"Oh don't be," the man continues when he catches the same woman with the phone glaring at them. "I think the lovely lady is considering contacting the operator."

"Shit!" Jeongguk says, realizing the seriousness+
of the situation.

"Your stop is right after the next one right?"

"How— Nevermind," the young boy murmurs when the same lady finally walks to his side a few moments before the next stop.

"You should be ashamed young man!" She says, hitting Jeongguk with her purse. "This isn't+
a joke!"

"I'm so sorry, ma'am. I shouldn't have said that."

The woman grumbles, giving Jeongguk another a deadly stare before the railcar finally stops.

"Oh look, this is our stop!" The stranger suddenly says, standing up and grabbing Jeongguk's arm with his good hand.+
"Sorry for the disturbance," he continues, pulling the young college student towards the exit as the doors finally open.

Everything happens so fast. Jeongguk doesn't even know what to say. All he sees is the woman staring at him behind the glass as the doors close and the last+
train goes away.

"That was something," the stranger murmurs, slightly amused. "She was gonna case such a scene."

"I—" Jeongguk tries to say, eyes looking a little watery. "Why did you— This was the last train. The next one passes at 5am due to the strike."

"Nobody deserves+
to be scolded like this over a slipup. Is your shoulder okay?" The stranger asks, daring to touch Jeongguk's arm and suddenly everything seems too trivial really.

"I— I should be more careful with my words..." He continues, magnetized by the stranger when he realizes.
A/N: (ignore typos and mistakes, I am on my bed trying to fight off my dizziness caused by my silly medication that somehow gave birth to this... 🥲)
"Your stop! You missed your stop."

"Well yes," the man murmurs, letting his hand ruffle his fluffy black hair. "It's fine though, don't worry about it."

But Jeongguk already feels guilty about it. "I can pay for your taxi," he then blurts out, reaching for his wallet when the+
man stops him.

"It's really fine. I can just wait for the next one."

Jeongguk can't help but wonder. "The next one is at 5am. Are you sure?"

"I just..." The stranger breathes out. "I didn't feel like going home early tonight."

"Oh... Tough day at work?"

The stranger+
hums, eyes travelling on the subway map behind the young boy. "Actually... I didn't get back to work today..."

Jeongguk frowns a little, unable to decode the expression on the man's face. He doesn't know what to say.

"I went to see my parents..."

"Oh. Are they okay?" He asks+
still unabke to find the right words.

"They were until I told them, well, you know, that their son isn't going to get married."

"Ah," Jeongguk looks at him with worry. "It's okay. I don't want to get married either. Actually there are a lot of bache—"

"'Cause I'm gay..."
Jeongguk freezes, mouth opening and jaw almost falling to the floor.

"I..." He tries to choose his words carefully.

"I'm sorry, you probably didn't expect a stranger to tell you about his little coming out story. I'm really sorry if I—" The man hurries to say, feeling the+
tears trying to find a way out after recalling his mother's expressionless face and his father's words to leave the house when she started crying. Well, it had actually went a lot better than he expected. No yelling or name calling. But it still hurt so badly that the+
he found himself walking around the city all by himself, feeling equally free and burdened. At that moment, Kim Taehyung founs himself thinking about one thing— the soothing and beautiful face of the subway boy. The one who probably made him realize that what he+
and the rest of the world wanted were two different things.

Tears flow freely on Taehyung's face when he feels the young boy's hands cupping his face.

"Hey, it's okay! You don't need to feel bad about telling me!"

"This must— sound so weird—" Taehyung tries to say. "But I—+
took the subway in hopes of seeing you tonight. We don't even know each other—" he sniffles, trying to collect his thoughts. "But he always end up in the same railcar and I see you drawing or listening to music, even murmuring the lyrics and— you always look so— carefree and—
that one time when you fought that guys for sitting on the pregnant ladies' designated seat and you had the biggest smile on your face—Fck! That lady kept thanking you all the way to her stop."

"You noticed all these?" The young one is surprised and Taehyung nods when he+
finally releases his face. "It became a habit to get on the same railcar... I don't have many friends but somehow... meeting you every Tuesday and Thursday felt like meeting a friend."

"I see."

"I am really sorry. I'm just a hopeless case..."

But Jeongguk doesn't agree.
"You always read different genres and authors, don't you?" The question makes Taehyung's eyes travel back on his. "You had been reading Don Quixote recently. You seemed to like it a lot."

"Oh—"

"You love books and sometimes you carry a bag with my favorite snacks. You+
make me crave for them but the convenience store near my dorm doesn't have them!"

Taehyung tries to wipe his nose, realizing he hasn't been the only one paying more attention to the other.

"I— I loved Don Quixote," his voice breaks a little and then a smile forms on his+
lips, followed by a blush. "Remember when the train stopped abruptly and you fell on somebody's lap?"

"Fck! Don't tell me you witnessed that. It was so embarrassing!"

"Well, I'm glad I was there to catch you. You must have been tired."

"No fcking way!" The young one shouts,+
eyes sparkling under the white light of the station. "This is— How is this even possible?"

"I don't know..." Taehyung murmurs, fixing his cast and frowning a little from the pain.

"This is so embarrassing. I am so sorry for that!"

"It's okay!"

"No it's not. I—" The young boy+
stops when he notices the unbothered expression on his face. There are so many coincidences here that his mind hurts. "I really can't believe this. Please let me make it up to you. I can keep you company if you like."

"It's 6 hours. I can't ask you to do that. But," Taehyung+
breathes. "I could use a drink and probably a subway friend."

"Of course! I don't have any classes tomorrow."

"You are a student?" Taehyung asks, feeling his ears warming up.

"Yeah. I'm a second year medicine student. I work at a restaurant in the city centre+
every Tuesday and Thursday. RJ's."

Taehyung's eyes open wide. "Kim Seokjin's RJ's?"

"Yeah! You know it?" Jeongguk asks, thinking that another coincidence is going to hit him.

"My boss loves ordering from that place because he has a big crush on Seokjin— Oh fck! I shouldn't+
have said that!" Taehyung panicks a little, trying to decide the expression on the young one's face.

"Are you working at Bomnal then? You said bookstore, right?"

Taehyung nods, evidently shy.

"What are the odds here!" The boy finally laughs, filling the space around Taehyung+
with the beautiful sound.

"I don't really know what this is. I still can't believe it. But if you could forget what I said the past five minutes it would be great."

"Well," the young boy clears his throat. "If you forget all those embarrassing things I did and said, then I+
will gladly do!"

Taehyung presses his eyes shut for a few seconds. "Done! Oh, hi! Did you miss the last train, too?" He asks and the young boy in front of him melts.

"Oh, it seems I did and I have 6 hours to kill. I was thinking of grabbing a drink. Would you like to join me+
perhaps?" He plays along.

"Well, why not," Taehyung smiles at him shyly. "I'm Taehyung by the way. Kim Taehyung. Nice to meet you."

'Taehyung...' The name sounds as lovely as him, the young student thinks.
"I'm Jeon Jeongguk."

And Taehyung can finally put a name to the beautiful boy he has been meeting in the subway for more than eight months now.

"Well, Jeongguk, what do you like drinking?"
"I'm usually a beer guy," the young boy finally takes a step towards the exit, followed by Taehyung. "But 6 hours is a lot so what about wine or whiskey?"

"These sound like great choices," Taehyung nods excitedly, knowing that somehow this young boy has managed to take+
all his worries away. And all it took was a smile and a series of coincidences.

That night, they both drank as much as rhey liked, exchanging stories and little details about each other that they hadn't really noticed about themselves. After the fidth glass of wine,+
they found themselves dancing and laughing.

What Kim Taehyung had thought to be his gloomiest night had turned out to be the most fun liberating one in years.

And of course Jeongguk couldn't disagree, laughing at Taehyung's bad pickup lines shen he fousn out that he had+
a talent for making them up on the spot and acting all shyly around him when the older one pushed his hair back, transforming into something that made the poor college student have 'thoughts.' Very wild and vivid ones that the+
alcohol in his system only amplified, making certain parts of his body ache.

At around 4:25am they got coffee from the vending machine and walked all the way to Jeongguk's station, chatting for 20 minutes or so and enjoying the cold air.

"That was refreshing," Taehyung told+
him as he sat down on the metallic seat. "But so cold."

"I could have waited with you. You didn't have to walk me here, Tae."

"Yes, I know. But I would have fallen asleep if we did."

"I would have stayed awake. You didn't have to worry about our things. I can hold+
my liquor well. Well, better than you," he added with a playful smile.

"But then," Taehyung started with a pout, feeling the bitter taste of coffee waking him up. "I wouldn't have talked to you more..."

Jeongguk bit his lips just a little. "Well, I really enjoyed it. Did you+
had a good time?"

"Yeah... I thought I'd end up eating ramyeon and watching a drama all by myself. I would have gotten drunk and cried a little. But you didn't need to know that so," Taehyung let his palm land on top of his+
head, fingers playing with the messy ponytail. "Rewind!"

"Rewind failed. Please try something else," Jeongguk murmured, using the voice of his favorite NPC character and making Taehyung pout harder, turning his entire body to him to.

"Please Jeongguk. This isn't+
a good first impression!" He shouted, moving a little closer to him.

"Well, Taehyung," the young boy started, eyes falling on the beautiful heart-shaped lips that Taehyung had managed to make them swell a little from biting at them nervously.

"Yes?" He asked again, head too+
close to his, feeling his breath fanning on his face and tickling his nose.

"Y-you made a great first impression and I'd love to hang out with you, again."

"Ah," Taehyung giggled, eyes travelling to the rails when the sound of the subway flooded+
the station. "I'd love to hang out with you too, Jeongguk," he murmured, standing up and having another sip from his coffe before he threw it in the trashcan a few meters away from him.

"So..." Jeongguk only managed to say, moving along towards the railcar and watching+
Taehyung step inside and staring at him, waiting, probably for something more. "Don't fall asleep and miss your stop, okay? I could—"

"I won't. You go back to your dorm and sleep. Bitter coffee has done the trick..."

"Okay," Jeongguk whispered as the beeping sound caught+
his attention. He had a few more seconds left before the doors closed. "Taehyung?"

"Yes?"

"I forgot to say—" But the doors closed before he completed his sentence and the security guard warner him to stay back, leaving Jeongguk pouting and Taehyung smiling endearingly behind+
the glass.

As the train moved, Jeongguk walked along, looking at the tired but beautiful face mouthing something to him before the train was finally gone.

Scrunching his nose, he turned around and walked to the exit under the strict gaze of the guard.

"Sorry," he+
apologized with the silliest smile on his face, exiting the station and shoving his hands in his black pants to warm them up. His cheeks felt relieved when the cold air kissed them and Jeongguk murmured the most bizarre words he had ever told himself.

"Can't wait for+
the weekend to end then."

And it was the first time ever in the history of humankind that somebody wished it was Monday already so he could meet Kim Taehyung again the next day and tell him the thing he had forgotten to say all night long.

I'm gonna shoot my shot and say Angel's Friends but make it #taekookau with blonde angel Guk and a very sexy demon Tae. If you know you know but if you do... boy I do need this so badly...! ImageImage
For context:

This is an angel/demon academy cartoon where they train them to influence humans. The angel girl and the demon boy fall in love (kinda influenced by a mysterious force). Also angels and demons can't touch eo. If they do it's a serious thing thst needs to be+
dealt with. I say this is a cartoon but my younger self watched it and was like... The sexual tension is real here!
