This is particularly important for a sport like football. While the time motion demands are the same across the sport, the positional demands couldn’t be more different. Which is why it is so important that we account for these demands when preparing. 🧵⬇️
Football has long periods of time away from the sport dedicated to general physical preparation (GPP). While this is great for performance professionals, it leaves a gap of sport specific preparation (SPP). The opposite is true for your Olympic sports that lack GPP. 🧵⬇️
