1/π§΅π Indigo Protocol Adaptive Quorum Biasing (AQB)
This feature strengthens Indigo's fair DAO Governance with flexible voting thresholds dependent on voter turnout. AQB ensures majority $INDY rule while deterring manipulation. Let's break it down.π #IndigoProtocol
2/π³οΈπ‘In most voting systems, a proposal passes when yes votes outnumber the nos, past a static threshold. This is not ideal for long-term #Governance health, participation, and risks manipulation.
With AQB, the quorum (or the yes votes needed) shrinks as more $INDY is cast.
3/π§ If voter turnout is low, the #DAO will need a large amount of yes votes for a proposal to pass. If voter turnout is high, a smaller amount of yeses is required to pass the proposal on-chain.
But remember, over 50% $INDY yes votes are always needed for a proposal to pass.
4/ As an example, if 29% of all circulating $INDY votes, the quorum (or the minimum votes needed) would be 66%. β
In this instance, 66% of the total INDY votes must be yes. Any less, and the proposal will not pass.π«#DAOGovernance
5/βοΈ AQB's dynamic quorum adjusts to protect against a small group of voters hijacking the decision. More participation = fairer results.
This feature was implemented at launch to show Indigo's commitment to a truly decentralized and fair governance process for DAO members.
6/ππͺ At its heart, AQB is about reflecting the collective will of $INDY holders/DAO members.
It protects against manipulation and fosters wider participation - democratizing decision-making for the future of the Indigo Protocol. #CardanoCommunity
