Life is limping back to #Manipur but not yet completely normal. Intellects are busy giving all kind of futile advices to Govt because they fail to understand that MEITEIS TOO HAVE RIGHTS.

I need to take you back to history to make understand better.

Today #Manipur is MADE to sit on Volcano. Who is responsible? Has it happened in last few years or decades?

NO!! It is a grievous outcome of Nehruvian folly of outsourcing North-east to Missionaries!

A beautiful State is brought on verge of collapse by historical sins!!

Not only #Manipur, but entire North-east has been a victim of Verrier Elwin’s conspiracy to keep region into “ISOLATION”, to allow Missionaries harvest their souls with Rice-bags. Those who didn't relent....were forcibly uprooted and pushed away from National Mainstream.

Biggest Victims of this conspiracy in Manipur are #Meiteis who are largely Hindu Vaishnavites. Changed demography proves difficulty in REMAINING Hindu in North-east.

Meiteis were 65% of Total population in 1951 which came down to 48% in 2001, 44% in 2011 & 41.39% Today.

Today, #Meiteis face prospect of becoming minorities in their own State. They ,under Manipur’s Land Reform Act, aren't allowed to settle in hill areas, which is 90% of State’s territory. BUT, Nagas & Kukis,residing in 90% territory, can move into Meiteis' 10% territory.

For #Meiteis, this is their biggest resentment. Pls Note, Naga-Kukis have mostly converted to Christianity, whereas Meiteis are mainly Hindu Vaishnavites. Kukis also include illegal Mu$£im migrants from Myanmar.

Main Christian expansion in North-east occurred b/w 1931-51... continued unabated since then. In 1st Census of Independent Bharat in 1951,a lakh Christians were counted in Nagaland who were 50% of Population then. Today, #Nagaland has 90% & Manipur 45% Christian Population.

Manipur is bleeding precisely because Indian Govt, soon after Independence, pursued a policy of outsourcing N-E to Missionaries, in name of “Safeguarding" Tribal Culture. This policy not only gave breeding ground to Missionaries, but also alienated N-E from Mainland Bharat.

Jawaharlal Nehru, in fact, handed over entire region to Dr Elwin, who LOVED Tribals so much that, at age of 40, married his 13 yr old Tribal student named Kosi, published even most intimate sexual details & then LEFT her to marry another tribal girl.

So much like Nehru!

Dr Elwin was given a free hand by Nehru to carry mass conversions. There was no one to question him.

Nehru followed up this isolationist policy with another blunder.. APPEASING NAGA INSURGENTS by giving them an out-of-turn Statehood!

This led to Constant Unrest in N-E.

Manipuris were particularly offended by formation of #Nagaland carved out of #Manipur. They were Ancient kingdom, but had to be satisfied with UT status. Demand of greater Nagalim further aggravated problem in Manipur.

Even today, Both States are not comfortable terms.

Just think of #Meiteis who are Original Residents of #Manipur & STILL made to restrict to one restricted area in the State, No reservation benefits as they are removed out of ST Category AND....other 2 communities with 29 Sub-castes given full freedom to enter ALL arena.

The #ModiGovt has initiated course correction with right intent. PM Modi Ji's “Fast & First Policy” for North-east is changing the face of it's economy & aligning it with Mainland.

But it's badly hurting Missionaries, Insurgents funded by China & Drug Mafia.

Govt is doing the same. After getting #ManipurRiots under control....Now HM .@AmitShah Ji has started using Iron Hand while opening dialogues with All thribes.

Amit Shah has directed heads of ALL Security Agencies to take STERN & SWIFT actions against armed militants.

eliminated. Large tranche of Arms & Ammunition is confiscated. Drug lords are being targeted. At the same time, Amit Shah Ji, personally has started taking meetings with different Tribal Groups. He, even extended his 3 days tour to State for it.

#Meiteis have suffered long enough. This must stop. Meiteis too have their rights in Bharat.

I agree,No-point in digging graves of History, but it's History where Roots of Problems are. Solutions must be worked accordingly & it takes time.
