Acadians were denied the vote in Canada too because the policies of the New England Company system that was used in US and Canada which discriminated against anyone who was not white, English speaking or Protestant. Same gerrymandering efforts. churchside1.plus.com/Goldhanger-pas…
Acadians were called heathens along with Black, Roman Catholic and Quakers etc. They denied my people the vote. This information is from Elections Canada’s history page. 
Queen Elizabeth II issued an apology for the illegal deportation of Acadians confirming Acadia still exists as a Nation. Conservatives were the beneficiaries of this crime. Republicans benefitted from slavery but they know the Black vote matters. Give DC the vote!
In Waterloo Region over 5,000 demanded climate action, thousands for Indigenous reconciliation & 20,000 people rallied for Black Lives Matter. Both our nations want a just recovery, not the continuation of Conservative sexism, racism, nepotism and greed at all costs approach.
Monarchs, Popes, Elected Officials and Treasury all have a sacred duty to serve the will of the people. All levels of governance and churches fail if they do not issue Statehood to DC residents to allow them a voice with the vote. Voting matters.
