Cuba was placed on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list by Trump in 2021 for hosting peace talks to end the civil war in Colombia.

Just days ago, Cuba brokered a ceasefire, helping to resolve a civil war that raged on for over 70 years and resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths. Trump decided to punish Cuba for promoting peace, and Biden is following suit!

The state sponsor of terrorism designation prevents Cuba from using international banking institutions, which are necessary to buy any goods on the international market.

For decades & recently during #covid, Cuba exported & trained doctors to the benefit of countries in need of them. The US, world’s biggest exporter of war & weapons, has no place to judge Cuba!

And 5: it’s easy! Biden could end this designation with the stroke of a pen, but is keeping it in place to punish Cuba for their anti-imperialism. In fact, Biden himself said he would reverse some of Trump’s genocidal sanctions, but… spoiler alert, he hasn’t done so.
Instead of myths about Cuba, it’s time to tell the truth and take Cuba #OffTheList.
