When Williamson started the season operating a 4 back formation Bailey would often play in the midfield and to a very good standard. Heโs definitely a massive threat and a great asset in both boxes. I have no doubt he will add to the goals next season and in a season which is going to be decided by little things, I think this is a very smart signing.

I think it says a lot about a player technically when they will happily slot into whatever position but more attitude wise when they do it to benefit the team. Williamson system change wouldnโt have worked so well if Bailey wasnโt happy to play CB/WB but he did and played to anโฆ twitter.com/i/web/status/1โฆ

As you can see from the photo below how comfortable he is on the ball, the last five games of the season - had at-least 38 successful passes per game, so for all his off the ball traits, his ability on the ball certainly caught my eye 
Recoveries
His recoveries per game is extremely impressive - he reads the game so so well and perhaps goes unnoticed because of all the other impressive traits he possesses. However his understanding of the game and positions he takes up to be in the best position to win theโฆ twitter.com/i/web/status/1โฆ

As you can see from the photo below the recoveries are very rarely in the oppositions half and majority of the time in his own half, showing the significance he has to his defensive side of the game.
Overall
One of my favourite signings of the window, he embodies everythint Grant McCann asks for, and this window so far every player McCann has brought in - is a McCann player so heโs been backed and it will be shown on the pitch next season.
