Lenin, Stalin and Mao were all communists. Trotsky ended his life as a Nazi collaborator. Does this explain the Banderite sympathies of various Trotskyist groups in the UK? @SimonBrignell @SSmit1986 I'm not even a Marxist Leninist. I'm just interested in verifiable history. Trotsky the Nazi collaborator is verified history.

1/ So this Corbyn/Starmer expulsion stuff. It's not really my business these days. But it's trending & I have an opinion so why not. What are #Starmer's objectives, given the odd move of barring @jeremycorbyn from being an MP while allowing him to remain a Labour member. 2/ I think the intention is clear from the content of the motion. The aim is to use JC's loyalty to the Labour Party against him forcing him to make a choice between remaining as an MP and retaining the friendship/ support networks he's had in Labour for about 50yrs.

1/ Ok. It's time to grasp the Trotsky nettle. There is significant suggesting that Trotsky collaborated with the Fascist Powers in the hope of being appointed leader of the Soviet Union in the event of a Fascist invasion. It is historical FACT that Soviet leaders believed this. 2/ For those who want to check these claims themselves, evidence can be found here: google.com/url?sa=t&sourc…
Trotskyist groups are perhaps not best placed to cast aspersions on the associations of others. Nobody is as pure as the driven snow, and certainly not their idol.

1/ How did we get here? A thread on Allan Dulles (the Director the CIA), his ties to British Nazi sympathisers, real Nazis and the actual historically documented conspiracy (no theory needed) for world domination by an Anglo Saxon master race. (May take a while)... 2/ Allen Dulles, like William Donavon before him, had close links to the British establishment, particularly in Dulles's case, those with Nazi sympathies such as Lady Astor, who went on to become the first female MP. This is from David Talbot's the Devil's Chessboard. Image

@BarnabyRaine @Pragmatic_Keith @OwenJones84 1/ Thanks for replying. I'm disagreeing with the premise of your argument & the concept of paranoia on both sides. Not v. clear from my tweet (my error). But your argument is that the situation you reconstructed & I quoted was caused by paranoia created by mutual misunderstanding @BarnabyRaine @Pragmatic_Keith @OwenJones84 2/ Your argument hinges on the untestable, unverifiable notion that antisemitism (or "anti-semitism") exists as a "structure of feeling". That someone could, in your analysis, say "Zionist" & mean "Jew" opens the door to a total descent into unjustified paranoia. Nevertheless... Image

1/ This @markhughesfilms article is ripe for discussion. I think his ranking of films in the #snyderverse is reasonable: forbes.com/sites/markhugh…. I'm posting my Superman "expert's" view, in order of descending quality in the next tweet. What's yours?
#SellSnyderVerseToNetflix 2/
1. BvS (Extended) and ZSJL (both 5 stars, I can't decide which I like more)
2. Man of Steel (4 stars - it has problems with a slightly clunky script, but come on!)
3. Wonder Woman (4 Stars - almost as good as Man of Steel but doesn't have Snyder's flare)

1/ If true, it is a sign that @wbd has learnt nothing from Josstice League about audiences & expectation management. Is the Matt Reeves grim & gritty Batman audience the same as the jokey James Gunn audience? Almost certainly not. #SellZSJLtoNetflix #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix 2/ Just as Snyder's fans were alienated/infuriated by Joss Whedon's Justice League, so will be true of Reeve's Batman audience when encountering Gunn's cartoonish expectation subverting Superman. Or there is another explanation... #SellZSJLtoNetflix #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix

1/ Thread to explain where my thoughts on this come from. The work of the Zionist movement founder, Theodor Herzl. Herzl conceived of a Jewish state as requiring the support of the European Powers: "Immigration is futile unless we have the sovereign right"... Image 2/ Herzl's logic was paternalistic, premised upon the idea of European style economic development. In his recognition of the need for backing by colonial powers is admission that the existing population might not appreciate the advantages brought by the colonists.

1/ I fear @jeremycorbyn may end up politically isolated when he's finally expelled from Labour. If you think present allies in Labour will maintain their association, precedent suggests otherwise. Stringing him along until nxt GE makes sense for #Starmer... 2/ It means @jeremycorbyn might be reluctant to formally break with Labour in the hope he's reinstated, which won't happen. The result is that coordinated resistance from socialists won't build until after GE, when Starmer assumes he'll be in power anyway (hmmm)

1/ Yet more on @dontpayuk. Sorry to keep posting about this but it's I feel it's important to do what I can prevent influential people from parroting the utter crap that this awful "campaign" keeps pushing. My sense is they are struggling to cope with the scrutiny... #dontpayuk 2/ The latest nonsense is purveyed through EuroNews. A #Dontpay representative is now telling their audience that it's all fine because socially minded lawyers are in abundance, and ready able and willing to help anyone who gets into trouble with energy bill non payment

1/ Privatisation of the energy by the Government makes this a political issue not. Pressuring politicians and political parties may be more effective than the don't pay campaign. Ultimately we want a political solution renationalisation. Don't pay isn't about that. #dontpayuk 2/ The question then becomes: "what's the best way of pressuring politicians"?

In this sense, the don't the dispersed nature of the private action urged by #dontpayuk is, in a sense the very opposite of the sustained collective pressure needed to secure policy change.

1/ A thread on the connections of the Telegraph Journalist Juliet Samuel, whose recent article promotes @dontpayuk. For background, I recommend reading this article from @declassifiedUK: declassifieduk.org/how-the-uk-mil…. #dontpayuk Image 2/ The @declassifiedUK report mentions an article by Former MI6 Chief Dearlove, which references a story about alleged links between @jeremycorbyn and a Czech Spy in judging JC to be a threat to the nation: telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/0… #dontpayuk

1/ There's so much ignorance in this position. For one thing, the West isn't sending weapons to Ukraine "in isolation". It is applying incredibly severe sanctions to Russia, which not only aren't working but are rebounding on the west, damaging its economies. 2/ The more fundamental point is that Ukraine was never going to win against Russia because Russia regards the of Ukrainian NATO membership as an EXISTENTIAL THREAT to its security. That means there is no limit to the efforts it will go to in order to prevent Ukraine joining.

1/. @jeremycorbyn's recent comments regarding #Ukraine confirm that he is still a threat to establishment interests. He is always at his best when speaking plainly and freely about international issues... 2/ I wrote some of my recent pieces to highlight that establishment interests aren't only represented by the Tories & right wing Labour but also some who consider themselves allies of Corbyn: The imperialist tendencies within the Labour left...

1/ I have finally gotten around to flicking through @DerbyChrisW's book 10 Years Hard Labour. lolabooks.eu › products
Ten Years Hard Labour | Chris Williamson | Lola Books. I haven't had the chance to read it in full, so I am just going to give at a glance impressions 2/ It seems to be very good. Given how shabbily he was treated by the Labour Party, it might be expected that the clarity of Williamson's analysis would be obstructed by (justified) personal grievance. His analysis is clear and well argued.
