Sask. question period day 1 of 24. I’ll be tweeting the debates. Follow here. We start with an amendment to the rules of this sitting. The NDP wants masks on at all times including when speaking & only those fully vaccinated or with a medical exclusion to be able to participate in debate - this would remove the testing option.

Moe pace of vaccine would be top 10 worldwide in Sask. was a country.

He says Sask. only trails PEI within Canada.

He says Sask. will run out of vaccine shortly at its current pace. Moe says Sask. will have to adjust its vaccine plan in the short-term due to fewer doses being sent to the province.

Moe: “Life will get back to normal when the majority of the population is vaccinated.”

Question period stats with Ryan Meili asking something from a member of the public asking about Weyburn council decision and what’s being done. Min. Merriman says council is meeting today at 3. Next meeting is next Monday. #skpoli Meili now asking if premier will declare Jan. 29 a day against hate and intolerance as was asked for by Muslim leaders who were in Sask. last week. Premier Moe says no place for Islamophobia, racism or hate of any kind. Says govt. has Jan. 29 day under consideration.
