Two years ago, our democracy nearly fell. Today, I was honored to attend a ceremony at @WhiteHouse honoring the brave Americans—police, election administrators—who held the line for democracy. @POTUS Democracy isn’t guaranteed. It’s not a passive promise or a spectator sport. It’s breakable without care and commitment. I’m grateful to the brave Americans who risked and lost their lives to uphold the Constitution and safeguard our sacred institutions.
