Mansiya, a Muslim woman from Kerala who has been ostracized by her community for being a dancer now gets rejected by a Temple!
She was scheduled to perform at the Koodalmanikyam Temple on April 21, but was abruptly told that she is not welcome as she is not a Hindu. ImageImage According to the Temple authorities, they had placed a newspaper ad inviting only Hindu artists. They were unaware of Mansiya's religious background when she was selected. They say that Mansiya cannot perform at the temple as non-Hindus are not allowed inside Sanctum sanctorum.

The narrative that the elephant was 'offered the pineapple filled with firecrackers by some locals' is wrong. It was a trap for wild boars. It is called panni padakkam (പന്നിപ്പടക്കം). The elephant was an unintentional target.
(This is not to play down or justify the brutal act) The problem was @shylajavarma took Mohan Krishnan's post quite literally word to word. Remember, the sequence of event before the Forest officials spotted the elephant in the river is purely his imagination. Since that was the most talked about story, eveyoen else followed it.
