I saw a tweet earlier saying that in 2016 pollsters made a 5 point error and they went back and studied their mistakes, corrected and adjusted their models to make a... 7 point error in 2020. And this feeds the narrative that polling is a junk science at this point. The reality is a bit more complicated. The polling that really failed was polling conducted by the media or for the media that is designed to drive a narrative rather than reflect reality. The point of this polling is not accuracy. It is meant to drive a story they want to tell.

So this is pretty weird. McCrory won Bladen County 52%-46%. But he lost absentee by-mail in Bladen 61%-38%. The only voting method he lost in the county. McCrory also won statewide absentee by-mail voting in 2016. Hmm. 🤔 Seems like more ?s to be asked. #NC09 #NCPOL Hold on.
