Some Cdns are 'complaining' about $12 Million going to a Low Carbon Economy Challenge winner that will be spent to retrofit existing refrigeration systems by small service companies to reduce ghgs = 50,000 cars off the road.1/2
2/2 CPCs has no problem spending over $ 100M on Canada Action Plan advertising. The Low Carbon Economy Program not only serves as an Incentive to reduce ghgs but promotes the culture of investing to cut ghg emmissions. Much more effective than a roadside sign. Pettiness=No change

2) It has everything to do with JWR's approach to SNCL. The 'rejection' of JWR's framework & JWRs accelerated timeline for implementation by PMO/CB & FN Leadership was a blow to JWR's core. The apparent conflicts with FN Leadership & CB meant JWR was asked to take a step back2/11

1/25 After careful reading & consideration of Jennifer Ditchburn’s (JD) article, here are my personal thoughts. By firstly demeaning the appt. ( of women to cabinet as a “laudable gesture”, her bias is evident from the start to the end of this article & just reinforces old tropes
2/As a career woman working in a male dominated profession for over 35 years, I believe JD has done a disservice to many women who were trail blazers & to those who have followed in their footsteps & changed the workplace. I personally reject JD’s petty & subjective commentary.
