I just walked downtown. I had to see it. I'd started off with the wonderful councillors @cmckenney @JLeiper and @ShawnMenard1 on their community walk, as citizens aim to show our fellow residents that we're here, and that we support each other. #ottnews 1/ And it's because of truly loving, brave civic leaders like those three that we'll get through this crisis, with help from wonderful brains like my walking-buddy @timabray, who walked with us. And @ArielTroster who passed out mitten warmers. 2/

THREAD: There's something good happening in Barrhaven. Tonight we're in Thistledown Court. I've been here before. My kind if people. After canvassing, I'm usually up until 2AM responding to emails (then back up at 6AM, it's gruelling). People care so much about voting that they send HUGE questions to all candidates. We all get these emails. Tons of them. #Elxn44 1/ I respond to all of them. Sometimes my emails are two pages long. It's not always "yes" or "no". And the questions are often quite personal: sometimes the sender is letting you know about health issues with their loved ones, or their financial troubles. It's rough stuff. 2/
