Jordan Peterson would be the greatest Canadian charlatan of the 21st century except he so sincerely seems to believe his own delusions.
Proof? Peterson once testified that a defendant who confessed to killing a man in Manitoba was innocent because he passed Peterson's own online employee screening tool, “The Unfakeable Big Five.” If it weren't so serious and the stakes so high, the things Peterson says and does while trying to present himself as an expert witness would be hysterical. He's like a character out of a dark comedy sketch.

Peterson never met or interviewed the defendant, who just did Peterson's online test, which "is not used to identify personality disorders or mental illness" relevant to the law.Image

Senator Don Plett of Manitoba flying to Beijing on an all-expense paid trip to meet Senior Chinese Communist Party officials?
Surely, not the same Don Plett who was President of the @CPC_HQ who was charged by Elections Canada with the in-and-out scandal? Image During the 2005-06 federal election, the “in-and-out” scandal was a massive, coordinated scheme, involving 65 Conservative candidates - (1 in 5 across Canada) - in every province but Alberta. Local campaigns were treated as “shell companies” to hide $1.2-million in illegal campaign spending that was used to buy TV ads and put the Conservatives over the top in close races elsewhere.

The report from the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP), a key Canadian intelligence oversight body, says there were "two specific instances where [People's Republic of China] officials allegedly interfered in the leadership races of the Conservative Party of Canada."

cbc.ca/news/politics/… On September 18, 2023 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an unprecedented declaration in the House of Commons, accusing agents of the Indian government of helping to kill Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C., on June 18.

A thread (Part 2) on the Convoy.

On January 30, 2022 - before the convoy had settled in as an “occupation,” James Menzies of Truck News wrote that “The so-called Freedom Convoy was never about truckers, or border mandates”

I am going to build a couple of threads with a history of the Convoy. Here's Part 1.

First, the convoy had many of the same organizers who organized the 2019 "United We Roll Convoy" - Yellow Vests Canada, whose 100,000+ FB page was filled with death threats.

globalnews.ca/news/4827607/f…Image While the 2019 convoy was notionally about pipelines and the carbon tax, Yellow Vest groups also referred to conspiracy theories that suggested that a “global migration pact” - an agreement to try to get countries to coordinate on refugees- would mean that people who criticized Islam could go to jail.
This conspiracy theory was one of several referenced by Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer as well as now-Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.

When it comes to foreign interference in elections and nominations in Canada, it's worth pointing out that CSIS has said that in addition to China, it's also Russia and India. This is an alleged Russian spy who worked on an @NDP campaign.

.@MOFA_FAPUM is right about the Pallister PCs using a Corporate-driven US legislation mill for their agenda - but it is much worse than they say. @MBLiberalParty first flagged this last June. bit.ly/315fY1G1/17 #mbpoli #cdnpoli 1/17 Last spring, Kelvin Goertzen met with a who’s who of the global alt-right-Ted Cruz, Betsy Devos, Russian Oligarchs, a German party w/ holocaust denier neo-Nazis & Reps from Bolsonaro’s brazil. The NDP did not think this was a problem. bit.ly/3c5jdwl #mbpoli #cdnpoli 2/17

Since @erinotoole has invited Liberals to show Conservatives’ connections to the US far right, here are 25 tweets doing so. #mbpoli #cdnpoli (1/25). There are only a couple of degrees of separation between some Conservative politicians in Canada and the extreme right, because of The Rebel & Hamish Marshall who worked for Stephen Harper, Andrew Scheer, and the Manitoba PCs. #mbpoli #cdnpoli (2/25)

We are calling for PC Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen to resign/be fired for participating in a conference alongside an MP in the EU representing AfD, a German nationalist party w/ Neo-Nazis as members. Ted Cruz, Betsy Devos & far-right politicians were panellists. /5 #mbpoli 2/ During the conference, Manitoba’s Education Minister - who is in charge of a massive K-12 review of education - urged attendees to use Covid19 to push privatization, alluding that the “majority” of education could be private in the future. This is not good. #mbpoli
