 There is certain evidence that people with high vaccine scepticism most of the time overestimate the probability of rare vaccine-related negative events especially mortality related events 2.
 and sometimes correlate them to negative events which do not have to do anything with the vaccine. This shifts their risk-benefit balance! It is also influenced by the kind of information they consume and the source of that information.
