Your likes are not disappearing, and no-one is suppressing @P_Kallioniemi's likes :) They're just not visible because Xitter sucks.

Lemme try to explain a little bit.
1/6 There are certain limits in place on showing likes to reduce server load. I've stumbled upon them in the code myself.
There's also just sensible server management at play.

Notice how the likes on Pekka's tweet go up and down? That comes from Fellas like-storming the tweet.

🧵After a rather long break due to *life sadly happening*, I return to talk from an algorithm perspective about the complaints I see from Fellas feeling invisible.
I'll also talk about why I loathe #FollowAFellaFriday and why I think you should stop doing it. Spicy start, eh?😏➡️ ➡️ And easy now, I'm not shaming anyone. I understand the drive, as well as the feeling of shouting into the void. BUT let's get into it on a pragmatic level, shall we?
First of all:
Stop thinking like this. Stop worrying that your retweets only get 20-200 views.

The famous boost values are NOT applied to a tweet and don't stack. "Experts" who claim this are mistaking value boundaries for stacking limits and don't understand the algorithm itself.
The boosts are applied to *predictions* of *your* interaction

Having learned how the algorithm actually operates, lemme try to clear up some things I also misunderstood. I'm a machine learning specialist myself.
Most importantly: The algorithm *does not* work on individual tweets! Read more below ⬇️ ⬇️ Reply boosts, similar to likes in previous versions, *do not boost the tweet itself directly!*
It teaches the algorithm what you like to interact with!
It will try to show you more content that it thinks you will reply to, and even more where it thinks you might get a reply⬇️
