Dubai Bushra Bibi Sister IDDAT Interview Fatima Ali via @YouTube…upsetting that family of a woman is pushed into giving these details 6 yrs after marriage. Islamic scholars have come out condemned the iddat case yet under this CJ, grave example was set. Medieval mindset has been set by our courts in this regard and time will prove this was done due to political motives only. Spoke to a young colleague going though a divorce and she explained how scared she has been by the verdict in iddat case. The social impact is uncanny.

For years there has been propaganada/misunderstanding against Pushtuns. Typecasting and stereotyping them in mostly Punjab/Karachi based media. Linking them with terrorism is the worst form of ignorance. They have been the protective wall against all oppression always. Our shield. The war on terror unleashed a deadly era of uncertainty in the Pushtun belt of Pakistan. If anything, they have been the victims of policies made elsewhere. And they have always stood by Pakistan. Drone attacks, terrorist attacks, school attacks, we have seen it all.

Today, public showed how much @arsched resonated with public. The biggest jinaza of any journalist in #Pakistan. Sad some TV channels snubbed this and showed advertising.
Goodbye Arshad Shareef. Now, that the morning after funeral has also passed and it's dawning how touched and disturbed #Pakistan is by the untimely passing away of their star beloved journalist, Arshad Sharif. How loved he was. Now, being termed as Che Guevara of Pakistani journalism.

The letter that PM @ImranKhanPTI showed at #Islamabad jalsa are minutes of an important meeting between extremely important officials of a country and our diplomats in that country. Will we ever stop judging people on how they look? The careless and callous remarks on #NoorMukaddam murder on why she was away for nights and why she was meeting a male, are not just disturbing but show the perverted sickness of mentality, fast growing in society. Safety measures, being vigilant is indeed extremely important, especially in a society rife with crime and where there is little hope of punishment for the criminals, and yes, I am one of those who believes following religion saves one from a lot of unpleasantries in life, yet.

PM @ImranKhanPTI has pledged to allow the people of Kashmir the right to independence "if"residents of the disputed territory were to vote for joining Pak in a UN-mandated plebiscite, delayed for decades. This master stroke by the skipper has left opponents gasping. Here's why: The truth is that @ImranKhanPTI has reiterated the stance that has been consistent with Pakistan- the stance that Kashmir dispute can 'only' be resolved by implementing the plebiscite guaranteed in UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. An uncomfortable truth for India as well.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan @ImranKhanPTI has rejected all claims of former DG FIA, Bashir Memon, calling them a fringe of imagination. He said his interaction with Bashir Memon was strictly professional and only related to the cases relevant to his organisation. PM said that Bashir Memon used to brief him on cases related to Omni Group and Asif Zardari. However, no such conversations that he is quoting ever took place.

There is a fear that the #cancelcieexams2021 trend has carved an impression in the officials heads that it's a slight matter of some kids who do not want to appear in exam. This is a dangerous and misleading assumption.
Try to understand that these kids genuinely are at risk. Last year when the exams were cancelled, this age demographic wasn’t even applicable. Now they are. We’re hitting record cases day by day, and no matter how good SOPS are, they are not 100% prevention. They are not a cure.

There has been a series of events on Pak-India front in the last few weeks it will be imp to look at these events in the backdrop of a third party mediation. Two Middle East countries have exerted pressure on Pakistan to nuetraluse antagonism rampant against Modi regime1/6 However، depite the investment of certain quarters into #BJP and #Modiregime, it's not in Pakistan's interest to succumb to the pressure exerted by quarters which have larger agendas which often remain ignorant to what suits Pak best.Let's not forget, we always stressed peace

1500,000 dollars paid to Mr James under the out of court settlement at the guidance of "smart" Pakistani government, also, NAB paid a sum of 250,000 dollars in settlement of the claims by IAR, in 2008. Mr James died in 2011/2. So the money was paid in vain. The repudiatory damages were paid according to clause 4 of ARA.

For those who thought,it mattrted little who is the President in the USA for Pakistan, I want to say think again. Many of us, cheered for @BarackObama in our college days and early careers. Why? Because he said words we wanted to hear. He made us dream. He made us feel involved. So apparently, despite not having a vote in USA, we cheered at seminars in UK Universities,we prayed for his victory.@BarackObama spoke of an inclusiveness and positivity that was the haven for all minorities across the world. The political correctness of his "Change" resonated

Some more points on #MotowayIncident that must be looked at in investigation. We need to clear the basics ,she was an educated n confident person who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The misleading sleazy /twisted details like who filed the FIR etc need to be ignored. 1/8 Investigation also needs to look at the following points. Why the attackers were so confident that she was alone, her car was locked and noone was coming to help her?How come they were sure abt how much time they had. Roadside could be place for bulgary/dacoity, not always for rape

Some more details on the sad #motorwayincident .The woman called the emergency number #130 and spoke to them giving them her location. They gave her a local number where she was told to call for help. She called that number and gave them the location too. She ,them waited for help She is, obviously too traumatised to recollect everything.Yet, she said it was a long wait. She is of the opinion that she waited for at least an hour. She also said her car has special type of windows. It was next to impossible for an outsider to tell she was alone in the car.

Just had a very sad conversation of the victims in Lahore rape incident. The story is heartbreaking and gives goosebumps. @ImranKhanPTI and @UsmanAKBuzdar must show zero tolerance in this case. The educated girl has travelled on this route frequently in the past. 1/6 The woman was at family friend's home. They advised her repeatesky not to go at that hour but she had travelled this route regularly, finding it safe. What came as a surprise was the finishing of petrol. She immediately called the motorway police emergency line when car stopped2/6

During my life in the UK, I enjoyed full freedom to act according to my religion and go to mosques and community centres. I was impressed by the government funded Islamic state school in London. While, working with Muslim Council of Britain, we conducted conferences. 1/6 There was a government funded helpline to solve problems and questions of Muslims based on religion. For instance, once I got a call from a girl who wanted to give her grandmother a Muslim burial but did not know how and the helpline helped her, active helpline was to support 2/6
