Nah.

I’m still coming back to 🇨🇦 leaders from vulnerable communities, in labour unions, in the press, etc contextualizing murder, rape, kidnapping & human trophy hunting of innocent civilians who were targeted because they were Jewish.

Giving Hamas cover is fucking crazy to me. Absolutely every single human being regardless of race, religion, political leaning & gender deserves the dignity of the right to exist free from threat.

I’ve spent my life on this. That’s why 🇨🇦 is awesome. We are committed to this constitutionally.

Hamas is a murdering gang.

A motion to politicize Canada's COVID19 response is today's election threat.

Firms from across the country dropped everything to help save lives by making critical medical goods for every govt in Canada.

Every political stripe, we all did this together.

In March the entire world faced a critical shortage of life-saving PPE & ventilators. For Canada, all of these items were imported & we faced a grave situation.

I challenged auto suppliers to step up & they responded overwhelmingly and immediately. /2

It’s the end of an era with Don Walker’s retirement.

His confident leadership led @MagnaInt to heights heretofore unseen by a Canadian firm, making them a global giant in all things auto.

The world’s 3rd largest supplier has become a leading 21st century mobility force. /1 Outside of @MagnaInt, his unique influence & thoughtful manner as chair of the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council has been a steadying force for 2 decades.

He challenged us to think globally as the waves bashed our shores. Crisis after crisis, Don led from the front. /2

FEEL BETTER:

Since our mid-March call, 165 companies have put their hand up with no promises, just 'give us the specs'.

77 made vents/masks/shields/gowns/swabs proposals.

25 are now in some stage of production.

Millions of PPEs, thousands of Ventilators.

#StepUP #COVID19 I am sharing because I want everyone to see what we are seeing every single day here.

This is not window dressing. @Lavaltool made tools for masks without being asked, Mitchell Plastics has made 100k face shields without a PO, @CavalierTool has been working around the clock too.

In a week where we hosted @JustinTrudeau I reflected yesterday that I’ve met 8 Canadian Prime Ministers in my life.

Putting aside those I met & simply greeted, here’s some Sunday morning reflections & anecdotes for #cdnpoli on the others.

Here goes /1 My father was a rookie opposition MP in Brian Mulroney’s second term. My grandfather, his father, passed away suddenly in 1989, the following year.

As we gathered at my Nonno’s house that day, a 13 yr old me answered the kitchen telephone. “Hello”, said the baritone caller /2

On this NAFTA journey, I’ve met with negotiators of each country, attended every round, had meetings with the White House in DC, at the Palacio Nacional in Mexico City and the PMO in Ottawa. 1/ I’ve spoken directly with the President of Mexico and hosted the Prime Minister of Canada. I work closely with my counterparts in all 3 countries and I speak all day long with companies that are affected and invested.

I speak with reporters all over the world on the record. 2/
