On 10th January, Indian army announced its plan to provide military training to so-called Village Defense Committee guards. VDC is made up of extremists who claim to combat “terrorism”, but in reality, Committee historically has been used against pro-freedom Kashmiris. The Modi-led Hindu Nationalist Bhartiya Janata Party has been pushing for arming Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir against pro-freedom Kashmiris. The human rights bodies maintained that the VDC is involved in harassment and violence against civilians under garb of fighting “militancy”.

Indo-Israel Agriculture Project has announced its plan to establish “Centers of Excellence” in occupied Jammu and #Kashmir. Under the agriculture attaché MASHAV (Israel’s agency for international Development Cooperation), these agricultural centers are going to be developed. India and Israel have for long shared strategic cooperation on the government-to-government level in the field of agriculture. In the case of Kashmir, Israel has also provided Indian state with ammunition and trained Indian military forces in different techniques of oppression.

India's settler-colonialism plan in Kashmir:

1. On 17th July, colonial administrative bureaucracy in Kashmir inaugurated J&K Affordable Housing, Slum Development, and Township policy. The scheme aims at creating about 0.2 million houses for Hindu settlers in the coming 5 years. 2. While the elite of India safeguards itself from violence in Kashmir, India is luring the vast number of lower class and destitute Hindus to settle in Kashmir. For this purpose, they have amended the J&K Property Rights to Slum Dwellers Act 2012.

Indian state and its cultural imperialism in Kashmir:

1. Around 50,000 locations in Indian occupied Kashmir have been marked. At these locations, Mandirs (Hindu temples) will be constructed in order to foster an emotional attachment with Kashmir for the Hindu majority in India. 2. Amarnath Yatra, a Hindu pilgrimage, is being actively financed and supported by the Indian state. Militarization is increased in the name of providing security to the pilgrims. Kashmir is being presented as an essentially "Hindu" land, and Muslims depicted as outsiders to it.
