Bhadrabahu Swami (c. 367 – c. 298 BC) was born in the Pundravardhana kingdom (mid-northern Bengal) to a Bangali Varendra Brahmin family. Bhadrabahu was the author of Kalpa Sūtra, 4 Chedda sutras, commentaries on 10 scriptures, Bhadrabahu Samhita and Vasudevcharita.
