🧵Google Bard is surprisingly bad (at least for now), even when compared to the likes of GPT-3, let alone GPT-4. Here's why: First off, the speed. Or should I say, lack thereof? I mean it's not slow but compared to GPT it's like watching paint dry

Just did a bit of back of a fag packet maths and Twitter looked like it's totally screwed. In 2021, Twitter reported $5.08 billion in total revenue, with advertising accounting for $4.51 billion. There are now reports of advertising revenue being down 70%. Based on 2021 figures, this would mean the total revenue for Twitter is now $1.92 billion. The first instalment of interest payments of $1.5bn related to $13bn of debt Musk used to fund the takeover is apparently due any day now.

🧵 Thread… sorry it’s long… I’ve been spending far too many hours this hols nerding out on GPT-3 and the impressive potential of AI language models. #artificialintelligence #chatbot #gptchat

GPT-3 is basically blowing my mind right now. For those who don't know, it's an awesome AI language model developed by OpenAI. It uses algorithms and massive amounts of data to generate human-like text and other stuff… it's seriously impressive.

I can verify I got exactly the same message whilst helping a family in Barcelona. Even worse though, another family have just arrived and no one will rent them an apartment as they have no legal status so they have to use Airbnb and are paying full tourist prices Furthermore, the family couldn't afford to live near any city so they're now in the middle of nowhere in the area or Murcia. The only Airbnb they could afford. I found this out after they paid and I'm now looking for housing for them and struggling to get them an Airbnb refund!

🧵: whilst there’s a lot of talk of Russian oligarch money in London, Barcelona has plenty of its own to think about.
Let's start: Abramovich’s superyacht is currently moored up at the OneOcean Port Vell - A pic I took of it a few hours ago: #StandWithUkriane #Abramovichout Three other Russian billionaires are reported to have their superyachts in Barcelona. However, yachts are the tip of the iceberg.

50% of the Marina is owned by Vagit Alekperov, the president of the leading Russian oil company LUKOIL -

I'm clearly no expert but I can't see Russia doing well out of this. As the West found out in the Middle East, you can't simply go into a country and expect things to settle down quickly. Less so in Ukraine which has the biggest army in the region after Russia, every man has done 12 months military service and beyond the regular army, Ukraine has 900,000 volunteer reservists.

Furthermore, the US has supplied billions worth of weapons since 2014. European countries have also provided military equipment and apparently training too...
