A THREAD 🧵:
We have made it to the end of another long Campaign Season and in a little more than 24 Hours from the time this is posted, we shall finally get the long-awaited results of these Important Midterm Elections.
Hopefully, many of you have taken the opportunity to vote early and beat both the rain & long lines expected for tomorrow. If you did, or if you haven't and plan to vote on Election Day itself, I would like to ask for a few moments of your time to give what amounts to a

Tomorrow begins Early voting for the Florida Primaries. Among the races is a very competitive Democratic Primary for Governor of Florida. The two candidates, Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried and Congressman Charlie Crist have debated and put out ads,
both claiming they're the one who can beat Governor DeSantis, who unfortunately is still the favorite to win. However, I'd like to weigh in on this particular primary and explain who I support.

We are just 100 days away from the Midterm Elections and calling them "big" alone would be an understatement. These will be among the most important elections in our lifetime. I know that term gets thrown around every election cycle but it especially rings true this time.
So many issues are at stake and on the ballot ranging from Gun Violence, to Reproductive Rights, to Voting Rights, to Climate, to holding Trump and other 1/6 Enablers accountable. In 100 days we must turn out and vote as a broadened coalition down the ticket for Democrats.

Today would’ve been Jaime Guttenberg’s 19th Birthday. I had the privilege to know Jaime & Gina Montalto when they volunteered at what was then known as the Friendship Initiative. Jaime made so many smile and I’ll be forever honored to have gotten the chance to meet her.
4 1/2 years ago, Jaime, Gina and 15 others were taken from us in a horrific act of Gun Violence. Jaime was just 14 when she left us.

Last night, the United States Senate passed commonsensical Gun Violence Prevention Legislation. It will next head to the House where it’s expected to pass and then head to President Biden for signature. Of course it doesn’t include everything we wanted but this is by
no means a nothing burger. Also it won’t be the last bill we fight for, but it deserves to be celebrated.
This bill was a long time coming and was the result of so many people, it would take an eternity to list them all. I want to highlight a few.

For everyone who can’t…
Today, we March! 🧡
We don’t do so lightly but it must be done. Despite having made progress since four years ago, we still have a Senate that despite a GIGANTIC swath of Americans, including Gun Owners, supporting commonsensical change, cannot get the votes to hurdle over the filibuster.

As we enter the 2022 Cycle, I’d like to just express some thoughts & be real.
I’d of course be delighted if we were to hold on to our majorities this November. But, midterm elections have a tendency to have the political pendulum swing the other direction from the
President’s Party. However, I can’t stress this enough; if the GOP wins in 2022, that does NOT guarantee the end of the Republic. We suffered a massive loss in 2010. Back then they were also right wing conspiracy theorists. What transpired was government gridlock.

22 years since Columbine, we still have a serious epidemic of Gun Violence in this country.
The solutions are straightforward but sadly there are still many opponents to change who still push the lies that their rights would end up being infringed on.
Nobody is infringing on anyone’s individual rights. We’re calling for background checks on PEOPLE, not guns. Mandatory Safety courses for PEOPLE, not guns. Stricter negligence penalties for PEOPLE, not guns. This isn’t about just the guns, it’s the people too.

One year ago today, Donald Trump became only the 3rd President in US History to be Impeached. This was in part by all of you incredible #Resisters who called your Reps & those who were part of organizations like the #ImpeachmentTaskForce.
Even though in the end, Trump was Acquitted he, shall remain #ForeverImpeached. Now with him having been defeated by We The People, let us celebrate the fact we made the attempt back then to hold him accountable & that we proved our organization skills & #PeoplePower...

@politvidchannel Not as suddenly as Progressives, DemSocs & Greens would want. Pelosi & Schumer, while they have their faults at times, have maintained calm, order, and have kept the doors of bipartisanship open. In my opinion, I feel AOC has not been as grateful that so many...
@politvidchannel ...different types of Dems from the Center-Right (Manchin) to the very Left (Herself, Bernie) banded together & pit preferences aside to rid of a President who’d never even move a muscle on the very policies she wants to see happen. Biden is indeed an improvement...

After waiting for YEARS, the moment has finally arrived! Just a few moments ago, I officially filled in my first ever Vote for POTUS! My vote is cast for many things, Gun Reform, better leadership & the restoring the Soul of the Nation! I feel so happy & PROUD!#ResistOn🇺🇸🧡
Voting today made me filled with so much pride and urgency. It’s that urgency for change I’ve felt as the country went through a divisive & inadequate administration! I preregistered to vote at the March for Our Lives where I vowed to vote Trump out...

1/ Back on January 20th, 2017, myself and my grandparents watched in disbelief as Trump took the oath of office. An oath that whoever takes it, swears to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Since then, Trump has abused his power & incited hate & division...
2/ He has repeatedly caused discourse by exploiting divides and gaps in order to distract from his inadequate behavior. He’s fired the FBI Director to thwart the Russia investigation, repeatedly sided with Putin, called the alt-Right “very fine people,”

It still seems that my good friend @fred_guttenberg continues to be harassed by Bernie Supporters who claim they want people to unite. I say to them that they are only wasting their breath and time! Fred is not anywhere close to an “enemy.” Nobody pays him to say anything...
...nor is he acting for some PAC. Fred has dedicated his life to bettering society after a tragic loss. Bashing him helps nobody except Russia and Trump in their goal to incite discourse! We’re better than this, America! Leave Fred alone! Now when it comes to uniting...

Recently, my friend @fred_guttenberg has come under fire by some Supporters of Bernie Sanders. I can definitely say that Fred is not targeting anyone, he is certainly NOT a racist and is actually a very determined and down to earth person. I however believe that..
..we must not pick on those who have gone through heavy losses like Fred. Another point is that the only person benefiting off of these attacks is Donald Trump. He wants us to all be divided and squabble so he can sneak through and do his corrupt deeds...

It seems that the debate over witnesses is likely to continue into the night. Typical planning on the part of #MidnightMitch and his fellow #GOPCowards who apparently don’t care what 3/4 of the country, including some of their own constituents want to see. Shameful..
It is just shameful that a man who thinks he’s innocent is able to own around 53 spines to block witnesses. That shows he wants to hide things and is guilty. Second, Pat Cipollone here has been implicated recently plus the damn defense was caught..
