I am so very fed up of all the lies and gaslighting that have been flowing on a river of effluence out of this government on a daily basis for 12 years now. The river has now turned into a flood as the Tories loose 82 years of pent-up hatred of the NHS. 🧵 /1
They have been steadily defunding it since 2010 and now they have almost succeeded in breaking it. Right-wing media calling for "change" (that's code for "fully privatise") and nurses and paramedics being demonized. /2

Below is an email I received from an online yarn shop. They sent it to all their customers but it concerns their EU customers. I have deliberately shared without naming the company so I hope you'll forgive me for that. I believe it's up to them if they want to share publicly. /1

Also, this is far from the only UK small on-line business finding themselves forced to stop selling to sometimes long-established EU customers. In all cases they are devastated. /2

Faced with the imminent installation of either Johnson or Hunt as Tory leader & Prime Minister it is worth thinking about the fact that the more brexity Tory party members are more than prepared to see the sale & destruction of the NHS

They have said they are prepared to flush the NHS down the sewer as long as they get their brexit. Their brexit that in 3 years has gone from "no downside" and "sunlit uplands" through "there will be adequate food" right down to "there will be drinking water available".

Over the last 33 months or so you have both done your utmost, in your separate ways, to implement the narrow result of a referendum so criminally corrupted /1
that had it been anything but advisory it would have been annulled. A referendum in which those with most at stake - @the3million and many of @BritishInEurope - were deliberately excluded from participation. with the excuse that it was only advisory so they didn't have to be /2

I get that Quitters don't like us. I get that the rest of the world doesn't like the Quitters. But for goodness' sake, rest of the world, please don't take it out on us Stayers.
You may be convinced that UK is leaving the EU on 29th March but we are still fighting to #Remain /1
So when we Stayers say that we are hoping for a long extension to Article 50 that will enable us to vote in the EU elections, please don't cut us off with contempt and say you don't want us. What we want most of all is to #RevokeArticle50 but realistically our best hope is a /2
